    Assasin has made some very good points.

    you are advertising with a post like that, and it is considered spam. Also,

    Those jokes are very childish, just because our admins say the file is ok to be uploaded does not make the content correct to put in,

    ( saying that I come from England and we have becokme a nanny state of `dont say this, do not say that,'. So in a way, I support the fact your atleast using yur voice.

     

    On a positive note, Hopefully the rebalnces are good.... Not tried it but I might.

    Edit: here is a picture of the WIP stage one - just blocking out the figure.

     

    I think I got the skull pretty well shaped. The body is going to be hard seeing as I dont really have any charmander refrence body shapes other than a front and side veiw. so I am just joining faces and trying to make it look natural. :)

  3. I have started work on this now.

     

    It wont be a charmander, it will be a real life charmander, with a new name.

    I shall use this refrence picture.

    And shall be rigging it up to use the gecko skelton.

     

    PLEASE NOTE: I have NEVER done any creature mods for oblivion or fallout, this is my first, and im only taking this one up because of the quality refrence picture. If this project fails ( I cannot finish it due to RL. I loose intrest or most unlikely the community cannot get it to work, I shall release all files as a modders res so one day someone can complete it.)

     

     

    Now Ive got a project, its time to get to work. I shall post WIP pictures of the mesh soon, keep in mind I only just started on this thing now =D

    New game, New generation.

    I was bought to sign up to the nexus by fallout new vegas. Ive been lurking for a long time, But I thought I would give FNV a modding try. Now I have the skills I feel I could mod anything.........like a boss. =D

  5. The main thing I'd like to see is the ability to sell things to people other than a theives guild fence. If I steal somthing in Bruma, how does a shopkeep in Anvil know it was stolen!? And dont get me started on the fact that if I was caught stealing the person would telepathicaly call a guard.......

     

     

    This always gets me. aha.

    I dont mind it, but while roleplaying and going about my bussines, I dont want to kill someone, spending 25 minutes to sneak in, not be seen and suddenly `STOP THEIF,' T..T

     

    Ive never really enjoyed the combat side of oblivion as much as I have the roleplaying side. I hope they introduce jobs for us roleplayers or something, if not I will hopefully make a `player jobs mod,'.....thats a whole new topic >.>

    my original post is fine, your all taking it over the bloody top!.

    Why make an argument when I am stating my opinion, the post was typed up at one am.

     

    As for all the great people that made it possible to even add new content to the game, I should know, ive been lurking the nexus sites since 2007 for gods sake. The only reason I got an account was to give something back and interact with the community. Did not expect a small minority to bring an argument to the board.

     

    In my post I state my opinion, maybe not clearly, and maybe not in a formal manner, but you are all reading it as if im bashing the tools we have had to work for. You read like, half the post and give up.

    So here are my points.

     

    - I Hope that The team of skyrim Do NOT include a 3d program to edit mesh's.

    This is due to the fact that this will create floods of new models, mostly useles. Nothing against that, but at the moment you know if someone has got a new item into lets say fallout, they had to learn a new skill set to do so, the content is less likely to be rubbish.

     

    - I belive that the creative suite that the team will relesase should also have a tutorial to follow, such as the one provided for the F03 GECK.

    Whats wrong with that!?

     

    - I say that if your making a mod, you invest time and effort. This is again a refrence to point one, Stating that mods that are made in five minutes, wihle they can be great, the vast majority shall be rubbish.

    As for claiming I am an elitest, whats all that about? because I dont want 4chan mods cluttering the place ¬¬

     

    - As for hammonds comments about my blender vs 3dmax debate, `what comment are you reading, I never even mention anything like that,' or something similar. Man, the last half of your post is completely about it. And at time of reading it stated

    At that point, the tables would be flipped where Blenderheads would be going to Maxers asking for help converting and exporting their Blender models. ;)

    I was ont refering to ONLY this point but the community in general.

     

    Now, I must apologise to Fore, My post was meant only to add discusion, but its obvious that we have issues in this community when one is to post their opinion, not state anything as fact and get slanted.

     

    If LHammonds wants to talk more about this, he should pm me, so we can sotp this public petty fight.:rolleyes:

    That outfitt is looking GOOOODDD.

    Mind telling me how you made it? Armor is the one thing I really struggle with =[.

    I can do static, guns, hell even creatures, but armour is just really......I get so far in and give up aha.

     

    The outfit looks like the metroid suit, not a hge metroid player but I think it looks like that. Keep us posted =D

  8. That means you`l want to select those faces and assign a vertex group.

    Just make sure they are in the same group as nearby faces....e.g. - A face not assigned in the leg obvously needs to be assigned with the other leg groups rather than, say on the face.

     

    Any chance of a screenshot? I love seeing WIP.

  9. I work mostly with static objects, But I do enjoy making a good creature or two

    The work I have released so far is shabby to say the least, this is because I model a lot......I have like, half a gig or something silly of models that seem like a great idea....but do not get completed, due to the fact I dont have a deadline or any motivation to adhere to.

     

    Seeing your work on the spartan armor has really inspired me, its nice to see a project when its fully done and I would like to add some new models to my experience to improve myself as a modder in general.

     

    If you guys have any artwork, refrences, anything, just tell me what to make and god dang it I shall do my best for you.

     

    I did make an armor stand before, but binned the project after I released You already had one made >.<

  10. I have to disagree.

    While beth enjoy the community mods, They wont go as far as ot say `here have a plugin - sure we will hold your hand and guide you to make your own creations,'.

    The geck is something...diffrent, While allowing the community to indeed add and change the base game, adding things such as new guns or ingame items had to be figured out by the community.

     

    Basicly, the told us `sure, you can play with our toys, but we are not giving you those cool lego bricks we use,'

    and fraknly , I enjoy that approach. The LAST thing I want is skyrim to be flooded with `I made a pig.....,' model from kids, no thank you.

     

    If your making a mod at this present time - you INVEST time and effort into it.

     

    as a p.s - can we end this whole blender vs 3dmax thing? Its getting tiresome?

    In my own opinion- 3dmax does what blender does, but better......but it also comes with a nice price tag....so enjoy.

    ive used both, Prefer blender, Always have, probbably always will.

    Both have their ups and downs to be honest.

     

    I hope Beth do however release an updated tutorial set with the construction/creation set like they did with the geck, that would be awesome. :thumbsup:

    Yes, but thats only true if your using someones pre-existing mod and changing the vendor's items.

    However, as Sonofcapiz has stated, the correct way to add items to a vendor is doing so via the geck tutorial. :)

     

    Im sure this bit of info shall help someone, so all is not lost :)

    I this mod is comming along great and all, just wanted to throw my hat into the ring of talent you already have.

     

    I usualy mod and work with new vegas, but over the past two weeks I have been making a tomb for oblivion, for personal use.

    So, if you need a modeler, a voice actor, and a low quality texture artist, let me know. Im sure you could use my skills.

     

    Also, a personal note to Genzel - that armour rig is looking VERY nice so far, keep it up my friend. :)

    might be a bad model, Only had this once myself 0.0

    maybe you are already in a mode editing something and need to finish it.....e.g - moving a pose and you have not confirmed the new pos of it?

     

    Its hard to place, probbably something really simple
