By the way now that you mention quests. I was wondering if there is any way to kind of list / export into text file the quests that you have completed. I explain: if you check UESPWiki or other TES info sources, they basically have a complete quest list with exact title, where and how to pick them, and who will give you the quest. That's fine. But after completing all fractions, MQ line, etc it is quite hard to scroll down for like 15 minutes on your completed quest list to see if there is any missing. This specially concerns the smaller adhoc MISC quest. So, back to my question, is there a way to list your completed quests (maybe using consol code) into a text file? It would be much easier using a simple CTRL Find command to compare the mission titles than having a browser and the game opened and doing tons of ALT+TABs.. I probably don't want to run around all cities and locations with my lvl 85 character asking each and every NPC to see if there is a remaining quest for me after a while. So if I really just want to concentrate on having ALL possible quests completed, this kind of list with exact directions would be a nice tool. :)

Difficult question.. First of all Solitude, as I have my residence there. I love Proudspire Manor.. and the city itselfs is indeed as someone mentioned above suggests a good wealth. And the Bard College - which doesn't have any particular use.. - is just in the neighbourhood.. :) Now, secondly Whiterun. I own Breezhome as well, and it just reminds me of my good old house in Cheydinhal, Oblivion. Whiterun is the typical 'RPG' city. Whenever I think about being an adventurer in any RPG games (be it PC or a real RPG when you sit together with your friends using books and paper based character sheets..) Whiterun is just the place you ever want to visit during your journey..

Good news because after all these fixes we discussed my game started to CDT again, with an earlier save game stage, definitely without any type of mod related to Proudspire :D And now I got tired finding out of 500 mods and textures and upgrades to find which is the one causing the crash. I simply put this away and play something else..

I've read a LOT around this CDT issue, and found several symptoms and issues. At the moment it seems, that for my particular CDT issue the fix was to remove the Proudspire mod. But in many cases I've seen that texture replacements and improvements are also causing different CTD issues. Now the problem is that you may get the smart advise to disable everything, and play your game on the very pure very basic skyrim without any mod or improvement. OK, do that, but then what if the game starts to CDT after a while again..? Then what will be the advise? Don't play at all..? :) Funny.. If you read carefully you will realize that in most cases the CTD issue pops out of a sudden, and the one cannot really explain what was changed recently which may cause the CTD. People play long hours on the same PC config with exactly the same game settings and mod/textures, they do not change anything and still they at some point of time start to experience CDT out of nowhere.. There is no ultimate solution I guess.. you can test all your settings and try to detect what is exactly causing the crashes, but you still cannot be sure that you permanently eliminated the root cause and the CTD will not return X hours later due to another unknown reason. sorry for being pessimistic on this but that's the case. This game is full of bugs at the moment, and is instable enough without any mods/tweaks. Need new patch for the sake of stability..

I have similar issues.. do you have Proudspire.esm mod installed for instance..? For me clearly this mod started to cause the CTD (crash to desktop) after like 50-60 hours of gameplay with no issue. I disabled the mod, started with an earlier savegame (lost 1-2 levels, quests and game time) but now I'm able to play without contstant CDTs.. Try it.. works..

Thanks wr_berg. You were right all the time, the Proudspire esp caused the problem, but the funny thing is that I had both the Smithy and the Dragonborn enabled. Don't aks me how, but I've just realized it. So, removed Smithy, collected all my stored items and were able to save. Then removed the Dragonborn, and now my game is fixed and can save again. :) And of course upgraded to 1.3. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate. If you don't point to the mod page I probably never realize that this mod messed up my game all the time. The most weird part still is that I was actuyally able to play long hours with this mod before it started to cause the symptoms.. I hope someone fixes the mod one day because it was very handy to have a complete blacksmiths corner in the basement..

What is the difference between the Smithy mod and the Dragonborn edition? (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2059) Different .esp, different author.. no one reported CDTs on the Dragonborn edition, so I probably try that one (meaning next time when I restart the complete game :) )

Hi, removed the mod, and now I am able to save ONCE :) then I continue my quest and the next save attempt is CTD again.. I think I give it up.. it was nice to play Skyrim until level 38, but at this point it is more of a pain then a pleasure.. hanli427's method does not work for me, as I can't save until the mod is on. When I disable the .esp I can do one single save at the very beggining when I respawn in Whiterun, and the next attempt is a failure, whatever I do. I tried to fast travel to different locations, sleep, wait 24 hrs, fight, but then again can't save.. Fock Bethesda I say :)

wr_berg, I checked upon this mod on the source, and indeed lot of people report the same problem. Only one further question: how will I be able to rearrange all my currently stored stuff from the basement, save the game and then remove the mod..? Because as I see I actually lost all the collected stuff which is related to this mod / stored in containers delivered by this mod. Catch 22: if I want to play, need to disable this mod. Until I don't disable I can' save. Once disable, no more stored items :) Baaaahhh..

I disabled it, but still can't save.. ok, I understand it won't fix the problem right away, but then how..? Should I play without save as far as I can, and then try to save it risking to lose all my current progress..? How will I know that my game is now okay, and can save again? Is there any way I can kind of "force" Skyrim to understand that the mod is disabled? If it makes any sense :)

Actually I do use that mod you mentioned.. but it has been worked pretty well so far, so I guess it has nothing to do with my CTDs. Bad news: after repairing the game, it now started to crash again the same way. In the meantime, I leveled up 5-6 levels, completed around 10-15 quests, and now suddenly out of nowhere again I am not able to use the save functions. My game does not crash on travels, heavy actions, or anything else, just only when I try to save the game with whatever method.. Strange ha..? And I'm on 1.1 patch with no steam, and with no new mod installed since I was able to fix it.. I honestly no idea what is happening.. its like there is an in-build counter to randomly start CTD my game when it feels I now played enough :) I'm totally out of ideas what the root cause could be..

Hi, my Skyrim CTDs (crashes to desktop) without any error message on any kind of save (normal save, quick save, autosave..) Basically I've spent like 5-6 hours now searching on the net for a solution with no success so far. Basically my skyrim is now unplayable, as I cannot save my game. Whatever save type I choose it just immediately quit to desktop. I've tried so far: - complete reinstall - driver updates - LAA, 4GB Skyrim - modifying the .ini files several ways - disabled all autosaving features in the options menu - deleted skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini to have the game regenerate them No success.. After all I can narrow down my problem to the save function. It seems my save files are corrupted. If I start a new game save function works. I've read that this has something to do with the size of the save file. Over 10-12 Mb size it seems save files crash the game on save. I have like 50 hrs of gameplay in it and my character is over lvl 30, definitely don't want to restart. Please advise if you came across similar crash on save problems and if you have any working solution for it. My last hope - assuming that I'm not the only one suffering from this - is that Bethesda releases a good update/patch which hopefully solves this. But who knows when. EDIT #1: forgot to mention that I'm able to load any previous save game successfully, I just cannot create new saves due to the crash. So its probably not about corrupt save games, but corrupted save functionality..
