Null __________________________________________ Since HumanBodyData and Race no longer seem to be taken into account for gib counts, I've resorted to butchering "misc." headgib, using the headgib itself as the "multiplier" Default "bits" I'm using only appear on limb dismemberment or explosion; they're so tiny the player usually doesn't notice them. It was the least intrusive option to replace one of four misc model variations- using the actual headgib model.. but with removed eyes, jaw etc. This was causing crash on reload 100% of the time and I'm not manly enough to enjoy that sorta thing I've got it to stop crashing on reload.. but there is a collision mesh creating an invisible wall after popping an npc Here's a video with the treadmill action Here's the gib model Here's the active directory I'm working with for this part of the game If anyone is willing crack the .nif open and throw a nugget my way in regards to reducing collision mesh without breaking the model - I'm a big tipper!   4. i updated the actual mod yesterday morning but the video ended up taking all of my time haha at 4 or 5 or 6am i got grouchy and deleted it in apparent disgust, lol rants about a tough childhood -added glowing one headbits - texture redirect from human to glowing texture. replicated "spec/illumination" settings to match the glowing one and slapped it right into there -added glowing one limbits - texture redirect ***** ******** ** ********* ********. replicated ******************** ******** ** ******** *** ********* ****** and slapped its mama -arm chunksscaled to .58 or .6, i forget...uses limbitsnif, which eventually will use a different gib named armbitsnif -leg/thighs - scaled to .62 uses limbitsnif and will eventually be named legbitsnif -headbitsforhumans- scaled down to.....67 for humans, as well as original limb replacements, and ghoul headbits -headbitsforghouls - scaled to .6 .62 for ghouls, cause these bad boys seem to have inheritly large headbits. they have limb replacements set to 2.0 i believe, compared to 1.0 for humans. probably a subconscies effort to make headshooting them a bit more noticeable/satisfying, who cares these should fit in i have started radscorpion edits and it looks like i miiiight add a gib for to get a theoretically satisfying result, if not still looks pretty awesome shooting the legs but not sure yet plants for the future of pakistan if im not mistaken the cazadors dont have "wing chunks" when you gib em, it would be cool to have that if it blended it well enough.   6. always brother - you have no idea how excited i was when i saw this announcement. i immediately jumped on it. in fact i've already began making a mess of things....thats how its done, clog the toilet one day after its installation. im at your service with anything in the DA section i can help with there was SO much i accomplished that never got out. i poured my soul into that engine as part my plan to be fully armed for DA2,,,. however upon its release i reached a crossroads and decided to go with fallout new vegas. "back in the saddle"....its like when i first started working with DA, tons of new things to learn etc but who cares about my love life. point is about 90% of it is still pretty fresh and id would love to make things easier for all fereldens affected by the blight i made a new buddy on there too that im workin with on a pretty tough project (new vegas), he's kind of like me, fast mover no prisoners. i think i'll be at home here and most importantly be able to contribute far more when in a comfortable environment (nudist friendly), exciting stuff! ..my only complaint is that you guys still refuse to consider Yanni an enemy combatant of war, despite the geneva convention clearly stating that jheri curls are a major violation...but rome wasnt built in a day. hopefully this can be changed with time ;] good to see ya brother!
  7. i just wanted to pop back in here for a split sec and let you guys know the following i contacted the author and have been dealing with him for the past few hours hes accessible & focused, im liking the style, im sending him whatever i can as he goes over it, this is fun as hell hes like super mario in a jet fighter seems have a very clear understanding of engine and is comfortable traveling in the dark corners/blind spots in formid-land i hope he reaches his approval requirement soon cause it would be wonderful to get a thread going thatll be on FIRE!! heh would be really f***ing cool to see a thread that logs progress to completion alrighty back to foedit hope to come with positive results super soon!
  8. ah, two + weeks you say? i'm not gonna jokes cause that must of been frustrating... i found the issue immediately after opening it remember NVCleanWater that i had used as an example? that was the -exact- culprit in this case heh, it was set to cause radiation damage since that water is a default/one of the most used in new vegas, not only would you suffer rads when making your pond, just about about anywhere else as well! a -really- safe and simple way to fix this actually, would be to do as i had mentioned earlier and simply use a "cloned" version of that water, and to DELETE the base/override reference restoring all of the mohave's clean water back into its natural holy state, demons be gone - amen regardless, i have am uploading a 'fixed' version for you that restores placable water>NVCleanWater to its default state as well as ULBathhouseWaterType i cloned NVCleanWater, and named it 00ULBathhouseWaterTypeclinsterclone , which is now used in 00AjrNVCleanWater2048x2048 instead of the damage causing error mixup in other words everything is 'fixed', and default game water is affected no longer hey enjoy ;] p.s. all edits made with fnvedit!
  9. this seems to be working perfectly fine, the latest version had only a few hundred duplicates which when removed only decreased file size by a bit under 100k, weighing in at a whole 374kb, 0 dupes after reading the description which in theory is a very logical approach to some of the clunky npc behavior issues and occasional glitchy player "climbing" npcs still exhibit their hereditary "run around the bus you dumb ass" moments, but i did notice something that did more or less stand out on the hills near bonnie springs/khan canyon, i lead 3 fire geckos on a chase, purposely taking "cornerish" routes and otherwise unnatural paths to get away from them, they actually managed to keep up except for one that got stuck in a "ditch" out of pure desire to understand how the f*** it all works, i started looking at individual changes, and here's what i found to be interesting under worldspace>WastelandNV the data flag was modified to "Small World" [theory] there must be two types of navigation mesh-types that have their own subsystem/functionality. probably one for outdoors, as in the Biiiiiig outdoors/mohave the main outdoors most likely have a more limited "function/logic/special behavioral flag/etc". this would be to reduce the "stress" or overall computational load on the engine as a whole. i mean isnt that would you would do? the "small world" flag must be for places like camp mc chicken, the strip, etc. these seem to be "dwarf" versions of the main outdoors, but are probably used for "large/populated/wealthier" indoor environments, its possible that navmeshes inside of "small worlds" probably have Increased capabilities, or the "pathing budget" cap is increased/lifted all together. that would make a Lot of sense....assuming my little fantasy is remotely on the ball. the "navmesh filter/generation" flag thing sounds like the navmeshes are Generated upon being...requested..or queued in whatever subsystem the beth engine handles that thing with, and possibly results in more accurate path/node/placement. when i ch ecked the edits they all share a few common "batch" edits, which is "initially disabled" (hmm i wonder what that does...you bloat flies), then the additional navgen filter flag. so...i guess that by essentially flagging the navmeshes as DORMANT/DISABLED, removing the COLLISION FLAGS ON THE MARKERS, you now have "wiped" the original placements/coordinates.....then by having them Generate On Demand (so to speak), you essentially create a "Fresh navmesh" that will NOT take the COLLISION/INVISIBLE marker "BOX" into account, and actually havign it generate a better path that would allow npcs to move a lot more freely.... so by Defining the entire WastelandNV (the mohave) as a "Small world", then doing the aforementioned "format>reinstall navmesh" system, the result would be AI that doesnt go limp just because the phone rang. right? yeah? maybe [theory] i think the man is definitely on to something, and in a way am bit refreshed to see that someone out there gets intimate with internals. if my 'theory' is even remotely accurate, i'd say this hyper-perceptive individual is more likely misunderstood the majority of the time, which make errors such as releasing a raw recompile-based plugin seem like some sort of evil act or "dumb ass newb", when perhaps the case merits the opposite which is to pay close attention by following the clues, trying to make sense of it and god forbid contact his ass to ask em in person please, if anyone has a better picture or understanding and sees the holes in anything im saying, i urge you to let me know im gonna do that (contact em) in a bit when i finish something else. wish me luck cause a lot of times people get weirded out by my style, and believe me im gonna hit em with a private message probably twice as big as this, or Worse! lol. ;]

  13. i figured out a far less painful way to separate duplicates without having to molest the keyboard! in fnvedit do right click>apply filter> make sure "multiple but no conflict" is checked in... and BAM pure glory, cleaning s*** up has never been more of an aphrodisiac!
  14. well, id like to get comfortable so ill try lighting this thread on fire to get a feel for you fine folks what we're gonna do is get to the bottom of this s*** in a classy f***ing manner please help yourself to some of my fine brahmin-ass-broth, it's good for your liver here's what we will accomplish, hopefully (its a learning process, but good thing ill be the pack mule doing all of the work) -what does the mod really do -what does it alter and why -what are ways to build upon this concept -results/observations to any possible improvements/differences/medication during all of this -after its all said and done, are the benefits if any at all, worth adopting and stacking on top of my own methods (which we'll eventually discuss if interested) ill be dipped in brahmin s***, boy - this thing has more duplicates than a radroach whorin in a ghoul's portapotty now that's just rude but you are CORRECT! i started cleaning this up last night when i stumbled upon this thread, i've got it down to 17MB but there's still over ...s***, at least 8K dups..dupis..duplis...le' dupleecats, however reuploading the "thinstall" is probably against the pope's rules, so...uh...hi. there -is- legitimate edits here though, so lets acknowledge that. there is close to a thousand non-duplicate overrides (so far) give or take, and i still have quite a few to go through, im probably going to merge this on with my own plugin so i can get to testing quicker, yeah thats what ill do please shut your mouth, and tell us what does this actually edit? well grumpy, it appears to change a lot of navmesh related ish, disabling some, replacing others, and interestingly enough, on CollisionMarker [sTAT:00000021] it adds a navigation filter flag...hmm..interesting, i want to test this NOW so, give me between 30 minutes to 30 days and i'll post the results from my titty milkings.....   16. i get the feeling this was probably one of the first things you tried, but ya never know hopefully im not stating something painfully obvious that you've tried already, but i figure it can't hurt if i'm understanding correctly....your water type is clean when you drink from it, but causes rad poisoning when you physically move around in it what has the world come to when even clean water becomes tainted by your sins (repent now child) so at first glance i'd go to geck>spell effect>WaterHeal1Purified clone it and name it "0xwatertest" or "0xjesusjuice", open it up and Remove all of the effects now trek it over to geck>placable water>NVCleanWater - clone this as well, we can name it....how about you pick name this time :] so we open up the clone - under the main tab "water color", switch spell effect to the 0xholywater-water, apply, save after reading your 3 favorite chapters from the good book reinforced with a true believers prayer, 15 handless pushups & a healer's rattle snake bite most effective while listening to kenny g's 3rd album and... water should be fairly neutral, no? no as in yes, yeah? apologies if reading this irritated you further by the paragraph not only by stating the obvious but the painful happy meal punch lines that lead to it as well and if it helped....well god damn brother thats.... solid as a hardened mantis' scrotum good luck/my bad/np/take care/help ive been kidnapped ;]
  17. heh... i've kept up with this thread through email notifications during my recent travels, with dragon rage 2 on the horizon - hey why the hell not, it's interesting to see the more popular comments & reasoning behind them and of course not at all surprising the effects of time & aging affect those who have lived in a constant state of warfare/conflict/extreme stress 100 times more than the "natural process" would, especially in conflicts that involve the sovereignty of an entire region no matter how much life can harden a person through the experiences & lessons it delivers - we can never escape what is the core of our earliest life experiences that mold the instinctive-level perception/understanding of life as we are seeing it now - hence the primary factor in inferiority complexes, misc. insecurities, motivational incentives, reward systems, "approachability thresholds", style of humor, god damn it you name it. and this is EXCLUDING any sort of NATURAL deficiency one may come into existence with (and have no control over) , manic depression, hyper activity, hyper sensitivity, low intelligence, random genetic anomalies or a weakness to particular illnesses or diseases hahah - too deep for a video game...but i mean you have to take as Much as you can into account when making decisions that involve the termination of extinguishing the presence of another in this planet, especially since you NEVER know the WHOLE story, you can't unless you become someone else (...? hows that for circular logic, if thats even a valid term...stay in school heh). so we know that as a human, one cannot escape the deeply embedded paranoid and eventual fearful state of mind that begin to dictate ones actions based on..well..what i said a second ago. because of how subtle the progress of the wear-and-tear on every aspect of the living entity is (in this case our infamous mr. lo-gizzle), the inevitable & only remaining shell of cowardice that is left in a mans soul usually "comes out" and announces itself in extreme & what is perceived as "completely unexpected" behavior from the person in question (lo-gizzle) after a certain amount of time under distress the ability to "be who i want to be, choose what i want to do" deteriorates on a chemical/biometric level, which eventually by passes one's will power or other core "character traits" (as in not the ones found in the GUI) and what of loghains? grew up with a 'busboy' status - but through an act of courage/kindness was bumped up to a noble. if im not mistaken, this was either never done before, or extremely rare. so he already walks around with this whole "the farmer-noble" label that will only go so far unless his social rank is secured through offspring via marriage to another in a position of power. in other words he's hanging onto his status as a newborn clings to a nipple from the ripest titty genuinely believing the darkspawn are not a threat & that the GWardens are trying to find a reason to have purpose in the land/establish a stronger "base" in fereldan, good king cailan's (chill-ass surfer dude who's cool as hell but doesnt belong on the front-line) decision to get Orleas or whatever's help is perceived by loghain as the True & Main threat, and rightfully so - for had he been "born into times of independence" like king cailan he would see past the...past & realize they need all the help they can get a worsening shellshock condition, paranoia, rooted hatred for an enemy that all but raped his pet turtles, lack of confidence in a young & inexperienced king, inclusion of these so-called warriors of legend - the gray wardens, etc etc etc...naturally made him put aside (not forget) his history/loyalty with maric because after all cailan is maric's son and not maric... & of course in loghains eyes - just as much of a threat as anything else if willing to risk his life on the front lines in a battle with the darkspawn "mob", compromising everything he had bled & nearly died for so the child-king can play out his fantasy - thats how he would see it more or less. dont empathize or pitty the man, but acknowledge his deteriorating/deteriorated mental condition for what it is you see, loghain had no control over his emotions which lead him to his conclusions, they were as much a part of him as any other "mechanical" organ in his body, it's the price of belonging to your species, he only had control of how to execute his strategy with the genuine intention of securing fereldans independence at any cost. yes yes, even if it meant selling elven slaves (for all the gasps & disgust the nobles expressed towards slavery, they are laughably hypocritical based on the fact that an "alienage" even exists), allowing howe to pull a jack-move on the couslands in exchange for unconditional support when the s*** hit the fan (little s***-particles begin shooting in multiple directions at high velocity taking the form of hardened pellets....laughs!), and silencing anyone who tries to disrupt his plans. its not as if loghain told howe to put people in his dungeon ass-rape machines, he simply told howe to take care of it so he wouldnt have to shift focus from his main objective. was it Wrong? sure. the little that was left of the man he once was shows itself as he always looks stressed, miserable & short-fused. its not like he was having fun & savoring every moment of his less-than-glorious take over, he knows he f'd up, can't change the past & can't say "sorry about that, lets start over", handing the country back over to Anora or whoever the hell - not without killing his own self that is Killing Loghain, why, who & is it right? keep in mind this is based on the available choices you can make in game, not ones we would do in real life when i hit a home-run on loghain's face (watching his teeth become shrapnel spraying towards the spectators causing minor injuries but no with loss of life thankfully) after the duel, i didnt do it out of "revenge" or "justice". i did it for him. notice how he says his final words (smiling in fact, for the first time in game, as if at peace, correction, finally at peace). -generalized quote: "I havent seen a strength found in you since maric -I can go in peace knowing that fereldan is in your hands." he's not bullshitting, he's tired, he's glad its finally over. he lead a legendary life and took part in events that forged history itself. he wasnt driven "mad by ambition" Teagan, you're a good guy but leave the thinking to the people who can. what quality of life can be him from here on anyway, fallen legend, shameful "tyrant", "traitor to the throne", etc. even in the best case scenario he would sit on his front porch dazing off into the clouds with memories of regret, failure & pain for the remainder of his days. you see a dying dog on the side of the road, you dont shoot it in the legs, stomach and chest before doing so and you dont do it with a cold one-liner at the very end, its the same reason "we" dont allow a victims family member perform the lethal injection, or let them pull the lever that starts the electric chair, etc anyway, i put him down myself as letting alistair do it (who is quite dull-witted himself, must run in the family hahah...kidding..not really) out of vengeance would be violating the very principles that most use a reason to want him dead in the first place.. at least it would with the views from the more "righteous" crowd, (...rather Self-righteous) does that make sense? reason comes from either logic or emotion (or obligation at times). many times righteous actions completely go against logic. so you either kill em cause this a**hole has been stalking & attempting to murder you every step of the way, or you kill em cause you dont want to risk Further delays/disruptions from what needs to be done Letting him live. Now This one is Extremely simple, perhaps thanks to the lack of detail/continuity in the games plot/script itself. you dont do it for "riori" or whatever's lame ass reason- "hes a general of renoun douchery". the soldiers accept whoever is giving em the speech before the Denerim battle. could be the queen, could be ali-baba, could be that little boy in Lothering looking for his mother (mumaaa, where are you, im standing on a bridge using the same skin as the kid a few blocks away, i dont like this....mumaaa), doesnt matter. so it's great that we agree on that you dont do it because he's actually got skills you can put to use, or skills that would somehow increase the effectiveness of your current squads, warriors are as common as loghains initial social rank. dont need em to win you do it only for a few reasons, most of them.....dickish you want to bang his daughter (who wouldn't!!... dont answer that) and marry into a relatively comfortable but arguably morbid & twisted partnership/regime, letting alistair run off to cry about his problems in a corner by himself...or to pyre his ass cause he's always singing the carebear theme song in a world of evil and flying baby parts you want see alistair "join duncan ont he pyre". i sure get a laugh out of "its about time". talk about cold... couldnt have put it better you want to see what loghain has to say as he is no longer the "untouchable/reachable" figure that is completely out of your reach, as well as to see how your companions interact with him alrighty im hungry now so i wont "trim" the post down as i usually try to, and this is one post i feel as if i shouldnt "canel at the last moment", they seem so much shorter in ms word heh....so uh.. -drops an exploding smoke bomb and vanishes within the cloud- love u guys (just dont contact or ask me for anything, ever) take care ;]
  18. i tried slapping in the original animations (named differently, for example reload_vga, reload_vgb, etc) into the base directory to see if there is some sort of "detection" within the geck for any new/custom animations that operate independently from the base originals - no go i searched just about everywhere i could think of to find some sort of form/manifest where perhaps weapon/character animations would be defined/listed - couldnt find anything while i dont have a wizard-level proficiency in g.e.c.k.i.n.g., i'm quite familiar with most of its functionality and sadly am left with the following conclusion we most likely can only edit/work off of the base/original weapon/character animations and must "override" the defaults to see any changes that can be used in game. so we're stuck with either a.) improving upon originals while maintaining accurate "sequence" coordinates in the bone structure (so hands line up properly with all of the other weapons that share the same animation set) b.) find an animation set that is barely used/undesirable, and completely redesign it from scratch. this would be very inefficient and also require re-assigning any remnant entities/resources that the set use to a different (from within the originals) animaiton set that would look/behave decent enough to be considered acceptable. actually theres numerous disadvantages/procedural corrections/modifications involved in choice b.) which i will not go into for my own and the reader's sake as the result would only serve as a deterrent to reaching this desired objective, at best i still remain hopeful that it is only our ignorance or lack of experience inhibiting progress/development in this aspect of the engine i sound like such a douche when i speak properly now everyone kneel NOW! recite this prayer with me (or die!) o'mighty gaming gods, bless us with the knowledge we seek & guide us towards a path of clarity as we travel through lands of mystery & confusion. grant us full awareness as "wtf" mysts engulf us leading us astray from deliverance. allow us to provide not only for ourselves, but as well to those who are unable or unwilling to provide for themselves. in the name of the ghandi, the n. mendizzle & the burning monk gg that should do the trick ...
  19. i found the best way to do this was to run the modmanager>invalidate then go to your root install directory x:\xxx\s(atan)teamapps\commonfolk\fallout new vegas\fallout_default.ini open in note++ do a quick search for [archive] as mentioned SInvalidationFile= should be blank bInvalidateOlderFiles= set to 1 then add the bsa name to SArchiveList= (should generate a file in data dir named ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa most probably wouldnt recommend touching default.ini but crack cocaine is healthy for the kids here's how my section of it looks blehbleh [Archive] SInvalidationFile= iRetainFilenameOffsetTable=1 iRetainFilenameStringTable=1 iRetainDirectoryStringTable=1 bCheckRuntimeCollisions=0 bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 bUseArchives=1 SArchiveList=Fallout - Misc.bsa, ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa blehblehble and if this doesnt work brother, then im afraid you are experiencing what is only the beginning of god's wrath, and banish you into oblivion he will ya blasphemous heathen ;]
  20. its a valid point dude, however i dont see anyone making a new "party" death system overhaul any time soon, coding it wouldn't be very fun, would involve a lot from cutscene "protection" to who knows what else, adv. syntax is the strength of few & mystery to many the only realistic way i was able to modify this buzz-kill aspect (within my abilities) was to dramatically amplify the effects of "wounds" lets pretend gaping wound normally reduces stamina by 10, i set it to 50, or cracked skull normally being -5 attack, i set it to -25 with several wounds and no injury kits, the result is drastic enough to force withdrawing from the quest to go acquire some injury kits i think a mod named "nightmare plus" has the same injury concept good luck, and try not to let it bug you too much now ;]
  21. yeah i hear ya... well, here's the way i see it recycling is perfectly fine, so long as it's done tastefully but most importantly properly. the 'first run through' its a lot harder to detect this in dragon age. for example, i think i only recall noticing that duncan's voice was also the gauntlet keeper, and maybe some of the children voices. this is because the game is already doing such a great job and sucking you into the environment, your awareness of the game's general audio isnt that familiar as a 3rd, 4th, or 300th play through, here's a corny example since we all adore jowan's voice, lets pretend we just got to lothering's chantry. we hear jowan chanting the chant of pipe, which unless we started out as a mage, probably wouldnt realize the same voice does jowan later in the game, possibly not even match it up even if we did do the mage origin. or "please dont hurt ruck, ruck is sorry". that guy did a handful of dwarven voices i didnt pick up on until way later. what i mean is, the recycling was done fairly well to where the game still allows the majority of its population to feel unique or whatever. but uh, thats Certainly not the case with bigbertha's oblivion or fallout. you can literally "catch it" within 20 minutes or so. think of the shrapnel/flak guy or whatever, brotherhood of steel padawan trainer, and who knows what else. you know, that guy with a radio commercial movie preview voice, or baurus, etc. silver's voice, raiders, etc. there's about 10 voices rationed off between hundreds/thousands of npcs, and the only difference is the variety in "pitch". it quickly becomes one of the major "buzz kills" that makes the world feel really plain/artificial or "plastic" know what i mean? i dunno thats just always affected me with their titles, especially when you're expecting it ;[
  22. yeah, pretty much what it comes down to everything that is a mod, except for things that depend on scripts/targeted plots/events/bleh that are "module specific" - i use the override the dazip system is very efficient for what it does & all that - but there's Nothing like hard copies so to speak here's a great way of comparing the override to addins/dazip wireless internet - hard line/ethernet cable of course wireless is great, works "all the time", gets same speeds you'd normally/probably get with the cables - however....no explanation needed for this - network cable is always better, direct - no "middle-man" or Transitional environment for it to make it through. direct. so, it can be tricky sometimes, and certainly more time consuming, but you might want to consider a new philosophy which is before you install anything - make a dir for the mod, put its entire resources into it & have work with anything/module you run, so long as it isnt tied into exclusive triggers or campaign events not defined or "acknowledged" by dlc/expansion - which is just about everything ;] it also keeps your "addins" manifest light - which has its own benefits for stability when you start the game up. override isnt questioned, or "taken into account" and load order priority is strictly file-structured based (how you name it, the order of the directories, or files in the directories are found in, so you could have 20 abi_base.gda files, but the one which is last in order is gonna be the one DAO uses), so if you get the maddening results we sadly see many users constanlty have, which is installing some mod, uninstalling, reinstalling, then suddenly having weird effects - "this used to work before, now it doesnt, i havent changed anything but it just seems to have just stopped working" - yeah, well, good luck explaning what i just said, to 50 people 50 times a day haha. (wait - i know of such a super hero, darkewolf LOL!! ol ghandi to rescue) anyway you keep a permanent and full, file hierarchy consistency and it makes expected results 2nd nature, and Unexpected results/behavior far far easier to isolate/troubleshoot and most importantly - resolve.. and quickly thats just my opinion, thanks for havin me on your show ricky lake
  23. agreed, some valid points - i believe a bit too quick in judgment. technically within the games UI most of the annoyances (mentioned) can be solved, circles be gone i think was one of the first handy black-eye removals to DAO here on the nexus, man those things ARE annoying, die!!! personally, dragon age is the best role playing experience i've had the pleasure of...experiencing in so very long, i hear ya about the plot helpers if left enabled, oblivion and fallout are certainly a blast if heavily, heavily modded. its funny you bring that up, cause in oblivion/fallout worlds, they're massive and it's easy to get side tracked, lost and occasional might even have trouble finding a quest target in dragon age, they included these...but its like..dude, you honestly think i wont find the target? there's about 4 corners and maybe 3 or 4 in door areas ...its not like denerim or anywhere is so large that i'm gonna somehow miss finding the quest location. hell, half the time i was running into quests/triggers by Accident - lol! regarding fallout/bigberthastudios - i cant stand the voice acting, and lately - the voice actors. fine, i'll get over the substandard quality/delivery of these guys who sound like they're chillin in a garage drinkin beer with charisma deficiencies...whatever, ill pretend these Anomalies, i mean voices actually fit the world/theme/medievil stuff...but... if Baurus, i mean the white guys with black accents in fallout, i mean, if that same mofo is in new vegas, i swear....im gonna explode with rage. the elven voices from oblivion, all that stuff, Please Hire New Talent before i'm forced to make my own damn voice.bsas to replace these people we've been forced to listen to the past 10 years!! No More Baurus, No More Beth-recycling!!!!! Please?? im sorry i offended you bigbeth, i just dont get the logic (aside from the possibility that voice actors are your child hood buddies or somethin and you wanna keep em paid?) in the voice implementation. patrick stewart is not enough to compensate for hundreds of hours of torture. i rather you ditch the celebrity guests, and get some real voice actors, hell hire me dude ill give you a bang for your buck alright well, before i bring the empty/awkward silence that is the result of most of my posts i just wanted to say... Danscott!! half lifer, wolfensteiner??? what!! me too dude!! if you own half life 2 and ever want to give it a run again, i have something really special for ya that will certainly be worth your while, changing the way you look at the campaign for eternity - let me know brother ill link ya, if interested - couldnt resist sorry. have a special relationship with the source engine...apologies for going off topic, pushing enter and post i think im actually gonna give fallout a run for a bit, will bea nice break
