  1. Hey guys, Thanks for the quick replies. The spam is coming from all different addresses. For example: Ashley <[email protected]>, Katie Elmers <[email protected]>, Melanie <[email protected]>, Kikki Murphy <[email protected]> It's all coming from "women" and contains text such as: What have you been up to all these years? It is a sensational guide that helps to understand you how to win some woman. http://xxxxxxxxxxx.tumblr.com/ Yours sincerely, [ENG_FIRST_NAME] Adderiy (only the URL has been modified) The address could have been picked up randomly somewhere else, but it's strange that I've been a member here since 2010 and have only recently started receiving these messages last week. I have also never used this email address for any other site/service. Like I said, it's not a huge deal for me since I can just block the messages being sent to this address, but I'm curious if others are receiving spam as well. I was also trying to figure out if I maybe missed a privacy setting that inadvertently exposes my email address to the public, but it doesn't look like it. I guess we'll see if anybody else shows up in this thread with a similar problem. Let's hope it's just me.
  2. I use a separate email address for each service I sign up for. This allows me to see which services are sending me emails, and also shows me which companies are selling my information. Starting Thursday, March 22 I have been receiving spam emails to the address I am registered with on this forum. So far, I have received 8 messages. The messages appear to be originating from Microsoft Live! mail, and not sent through the forum. I believe I have my privacy settings set as strict as possible (and always have), so I'm not sure how my email address for this forum has been leaked. Is information being sold, or was the forum database recently breached? I have no choice but to "black hole" all messages being sent to my registered email address; however, other users might not be so fortunate. Can any mods/admins offer some explanation as to why my email address is now in the hands of spammers? Has anybody else noticed an increase in spam? Most of the messages I receive are from "sweet, sassy ladies" who want me to see their photos.
