  1. Funny. I went through Vault 22 to find the ghoul. I finished the quest and everything, but never used those filters. Ah, I see they are for Still in the Dark. Didnt do that quest line.
  2. I personally think you are correct. It seemed apparent to me that the Yes Man was indicating he was going to go reprogram himself. Yes, the Yes Man does TELL YOU that he has to do what you tell him to. But there is no reason to think that is actually correct. It would be simple enough to assert he is only stringing you along and letting you think you are in charge when he is actually just waiting to take control once you do all of the dirty work.
  3. This thread is indicative of my main problem with the game: there is no clear cut "good guy" to back. The NCR screwed the Kahns, who seem like good people when you get to know them, but they spend the entire first half of the game trying to kill you for no discernible reason. The Brotherhood of Steel condemn technology while hoarding it for themselves and using it to the fullest. House is the closest thing to a good guy I could find, but he supports a sort of decadence that I could not get behind, not to mention he is egotistical, controlling, overbearing, and the reason you got shot in the first place. I had befriended the NCR because, although misguided in typical bureaucracy, they seem to mean well. But when I decided to go independent and screw Mr House, the NCR flipped out on me. What the heck? We have a great relationship, why cant we be allies? Stupid s*** if you ask me. I understand that in the real world, things arent cut and dry. But for me, I want to "win" the game. That requires coming out with a positive outcome, and there was just no way to do that in New Vegas. To each their own, I suppose.
  4. This sort of thing seems like a common problem with New Vegas. Its too easy to do things out of order or permanently destroy your chances of completing a particular quest. Too many weird variables you have to set properly, etc. With this particular quest, I was able to complete everything except for get the NCR person to agree to the alliance. Ironically, while I was there asking for the alliance, a bunch of NCR people aggroed on ED-E and shot him down. Didnt care about me or Veronica though. Buggy game.
