I'm at about 100 hours, 3 playthroughs and I'm on my fourth atm. The first was on normal, Gun, independant vegas character. Second was on Hard, Legion melee character. Third was on Very Hard, Energy Weapon NCR character. For the fourth one I'm playing with double damage mods to make gunfights more challenging, and game changing mods overall. Aiming for House end this time. I'm still not tired of the game. I've had a blast trying all the different endings and I'm loving it even now playing with mods. My only complaint would be that the game does get kind of dull around level 20-25 simply because the northern Mojave isn't as interesting/fun as the south.

I'll be honest and say I've never really bothered to learn it.. I tried it once and failed horribly since I had no idea what was going on, since then I never bothered. Is it actually worth it? Can you make money playing it? I would appreciate it if someone could explain the rules/tricks to me better than the in-game holotape too.

What pisses me off the most is that you can't kill kids. Can't even pickpocket them. Any shot you take at them simply flies straight through them.. Makes no goddamn sense when you kill all of freeside with a minigun but somehow the kids are still running around chasing their goddamn rat.

My first New Vegas character was a male named Fawkes. Just as a tribute to the most awesome companion of FO3, I was quite dissapointed that there was no Super Mutant companion in NV. :( Atleast we got a ghoul! My second character, melee legion character was female. Simply because I thought the idea of a female character who was dead set on joining/helping the legion was fun. Third and fourth characters were also females. Planning on making my next one a male. :)

Like the topic title says, my problem is that whenever New Vegas reaches 50% CPU usage, it crashes. Now, I've played through the game normally 2 times without any crashes whatsoever. It's only recently after I started modding the game that its been crashing (My guess is that the CPU didn't reach 50% without mods). The time I can play varies from a few seconds after loading a save to 20-30 minutes. I ran the game in windowed mode with Windows Performance Monitor, and I found that the game crashed shortly after or exactly when it reaches 50% CPU usage. I've done this a few times to ensure myself that this is the problem. I'm wondering, why? Why does it crash at 50%? And what can I do to make it play above 50%? If it matters, the graphic card I'm using is Nvidia GT 8500, and I've got the newest driver (released 2010-25-10) which is supposed to have support for Fallout New Vegas. I'm also using the d3d9 fix, and playing with all settings except actor fade (Which I have at max) at the lowest. I could also be completely wrong with the CPU thing and the actual reason for me crashing might be something else, but it's the best reason I can come up with.
