LE Replacing Skyrims windows with see through glass
Lineoutt replied to Thor.'s topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I'm pretty sure they had this in oblivion. I agree, its a really nice mod but if i remember right it was complicated or big or something. I hope that something like that is made so... +1 -
I've seen a few people request this as well (called kill animations sometimes and some other stuff). Look a bit down the list and +1 theirs, that way the easier it is to see the interest, the more likely it is to be made. Good luck.

Err imo guns dont really belong in the elder scrolls universe. Prove me wrong and I say bring it on! if not then I say just do whatever floats your boat, it is a game. Best of luck

YES! holy crap thank you for requesting this. Its so annoying how these stupid quests that I purposely tried to avoid end up clogging up my journal. I don't care if I have to redo whatever random event happened to start it if I choose later to go back, let me keep my log organized!! +1

LE Skyrim Noir - Murder Investigations Mod
Lineoutt replied to chocolambot's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Yay! more more more. Stupid quest in Windhelm was spoiled for me so I never got that completely original feel. YES! Good! Do! Love! +1 -
+1 just, yeah, maybe not 10 rings. 2 plus a wedding ring should do it.

Ok first off I just want to bow to your unhuman video game skills, I am very challenged with normal difficulty and I have on top class armor and weapons for my level. However this is not to say everything is challenging. If I properly understand what you're suggesting which is a just making enemies more powerful then I think I'd have to pass. But, if a mod like this could come with the option to just add more heath, without adding damage, then I think it would be awesome to have a custom difficulty mod like that. I really dont like 1 shotting bandits but I have enough problems with dragons as they are. I hope this gets made, and I hope it is custom, not just a "Grandmaster" setting. But of course, that too. +1

Haa I like your name  So my personal opinion is that I get finishing moves anyway a lot of the time (2h specialized) and having them constantly would bum me out because they take a tiny chunk out of the gameplay each time. Not to say for some characters on a harder difficulty (playing on normal) who didn't automatically one shot bandits anyway, it could be nice. And with all the combat realism mods sure to come out. Ill go ahead and give this +1 good luck

I wouldnt really say this is a mix of enchanting, thats still separate right? And yea as long as power wise its within reason then I say absolutely. I think maybe just a tad stronger (1hit weapons are no fun at all) but the smithing would be mostly in the value and unique appearance. Also naming them, but that goes for all craftible things and I think you mentioned it but im tired and mostly scanned. It would be killer to have a unique sword that you put lots of effort into and would make smithing a lot more compelling. PLUS ONE +1

Joining a prison faction (which are not that big since even the largest prison can only hold about 10 people crammed together) will definitely be possible. Your other suggestions are good ideas but, like you said, very complicated. Also I'm thinking for now have a "skeleton key" obtainable by quest (more difficult than getting a lockpick) to accommodate non lock pickers. Thanks for the input :)

I talked to a friend who is a moderately experienced modder (oblivion, FNV) so it looks like this will be happening! Great idea! that way you have to get at least slightly involved That makes a lot of sense, though I'm not sure how to specify offenses.. possibly time based on bounty? <100g - 2 days (released on 3d day) 100-500 - 1 week 500-1000 - 2 weeks 1000-2500 - 3 weeks 2500-5000 - 1 month >5000 - 3 months does that sound fair? Also on the time going by, you can still sleep/wait off time + activities/mini quests to do in the mean time, but largely im thinking that time just goes on as normal and when its up a guard comes to notify you and you teleport where you normally go after prison like you normally do

Sorry to do this but. Bump. I really need input to make this.

This will be happening! if you are a modder and would like to help please send me a message Hi Everyone Odds are that if you have played much of skyrim you have ended up in jail at least once. Skyrim jail is almost exactly the same as oblivion jail except for the one in Markarth. One of the things I noticed in jail is that it doesnt feel very jail like. Its basically a slight inconvenience that is easily solved by clicking one button. All it does is slightly lower a few skills. I had some ideas to enhance the jail experience and I was wondering if anyone agreed or if any generous modder would want to make this a reality. I might even try myself, but I am still new to mod making so it might not be great. Mind this borrows a bit from the Markarth prison. Please add any ideas or comment on existing ones to improve it. - Actually waiting out your time: instead of clicking sleep and having it skip, actually sitting in jail for however many days/weeks/months it would skip. - Being able to sleep without it skipping: basically normal sleep - Cells equipped with cell mates (number depends on size of cell) and books - You can talk to cell mates (unvoiced but hopefully a significant amount of dialogue), trade with cell mates, fight with cell mates (brawling without attracting guard attention, using a shiv, [both to assert dominance, cell mates can assert their dominance over you the same way]), escape with cell mates - Reading books does not make time stop, it continues as normal - Guards make rounds: meager rations morning and night, book cart afternoon every other day - Priests preach outside the cell every couple days - Spouse visits and sends notes: several times a week if in home city, less if not - Prison yards in bigger prisons as well as prisoners in other cells: same idea as cell mates but prisoners can form into groups or gangs - Player doesnt start out with lockpick, must get from another prisoner - Mini quests/activities within the prison - Each prison is slightly different in schedule and culture, it varies on its location. - Torture rooms (pre existing) a way of further punishment if guards catch bad behavior - Maximum compatibility (no new areas, some slightly modified original areas, no new items) Thats it, just something I think could greatly enhance the criminal life or even just the accidental arrest in skyrim. Thanks for reading.

+1 totally, and hopefully also someday a 2d world map where you can actually see the paths but are more helpful than the crappy physical map that came with the game.

Yes I think this would be cool, but I don't really understand what you mean about the vanity tab. I enjoy having to find a balance between looks and effectiveness. But besides that awesome. I think a place like Riften would do well with a brothel.
-
Yeah something that organized clothes like "outfitter" in WoW would be great. Or also on top of another interface mod to PCize it, add a personal inventory sorting management in your inventory and make it more visible than an awkward column. That way we could at least keep things relevant to each other together.

Ok I guess im in the minority, at least on this thread but let me just say one thing. I love the new way! Why? because I am the kind of person who takes half an hour to pick an ice cream flavor and then is unsatisfied with the one i pick because I feel constantly like I'm missing out on the others. I literally spent all of my time in oblivion (i never played morrowind that far through) making characters and then making new characters and then being unsatisfied and never finishing the main quest. I guess I dont feel that same "elder scrolls" pull that you all do. However I dont like the space age fonts I feel that vanilla skyrim is a much better RPG than vanilla Obv. I can't speak for morrowind because when I played it I did so after I played oblivion and found it to be very static and unimmersive. The greatness of skyrim is that it feels like a living, breathing world. Although I agree that Birthsigns should be there since they are a core part of the lore and don't heavily influence your character beyond some stat buffs. Everything feels so fluid and the people feel like actual people not like awkward robots (oblivion) or scarecrows with interesting personalities (morrowind). Yes skyrim has lots of little problems with balance and interface (I agree with the space age fonts) but overall I don't think it will ever come close to needing the 70 something mods I put into oblivion until it was so overmodded it broke. Crafting, bards, marriage, kids, carriages, versatility, potential!!

LE Skyrim Civilization and Struggles
Lineoutt replied to KillerHappyFace's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Awesome awesome awesome! I agree with most of the stuff and agree with that other guy and agree with your solution. A couple things on the bandits: - People always talk about bandits raiding places and I think it would go along with the "pitched battle" theme you mentioned to maybe have more of these raids on actual towns/cities. Keeping with the same respawn thing with the dragons. Also if there are bandit raids maybe not make them very powerful because i think it would be immersion breaking to constantly see people killed by a dragon and then made alive and then killed by bandits and then made alive and then killed by a dragon. Maybe make bandits knock them out or something? - Just have to say it would be so awesome to see more of the "big battle stormcloak vs imperial" stuff in the right area, like whiterun or somewhere with navigable terrain. Oh and the fort wars would be amazing! just as long as they werent very important forts with any quests (like you said taking bandit forts and making them into winnable forts would be just the best) EDIT: oh also, the problem with buildings being destroyed is that in many towns there are only like 4 to begin with so maybe, idk what a good solution would be -
Yeah I hate when trading NPC's die but its really easily fixed with the console, and personally I like that the dragon attacks have a bit more weight than just being there for you. Also I read in game informer that the quests are dynamic and you cant do them all with one character anyway... or something. Console command: -click the body and type- resurrect Then use your imagination to fill in the blanks, thats what I do at least.
