The visual/technical downgrade is a much bigger example of false advertising because it's something you could clearly see and they used it to promote the game for long periods of time, under the label of "in-game footage" or "gameplay". That has a much bigger case and I think a successful lawsuit would be possible in that case, as for mod support, not so much because it wasn't really part of an official marketing campaign, it was just mentioned by the developers in interviews and on forums/reddit/social media. It's an absolute f***ing displeasure to mod this game and the amount of work needed for simple things is absurd and out of this world. GTA V is easier to mod and it has no mod support whatsoever and it's made by a 100% console dev. Anything said about upcoming products is advertising these days. It's the day of social media. I literally bought Witcher 3 based on the promise of the awesome modding tool. And they didn't fulfill that promise. Again, I'm not a lawyer, just a fan who used to love this company and is now completely disillusioned. They're sell-outs for sure. In every sense of the word. (Btw - I'm not saying you're wrong. I think you're right, and then there's this too.) I was just saying that probably wouldn't hold up in court. If it had been part of an official marketing effort that would be easy to go after, if for example they mentioned it on trailers/art/screenshots/graphics etc...

RedKit2 was never shown, it was strictly talked about and described verbally. Your MS conspiracy theory make no sense whatsoever in the context of the modding tools. It makes much more sense in the context of the technical/visual downgrade, this is CDPR's first massive multiplatform release, they get partnered with both Sony and MS, especially with MS since they had a huge marketing deal. They don't want to upset the console vendors by making their version of the game severely inferior to the PC version/they are outright told by them that they cannot do it/they are heavily "incentivized", be that in passive aggressive ways or monetary bonuses/penalties, to establish a level of platform parity.

CDPR promised multiple times before the release of the game that we would get the "tools to build a house", they spoke to press about it, various devs talked about it on the subreddit and the official forums. And we only ended up getting a rusty, shitty shovel. You know, I wouldn't really be mad if they never had made so many promises. I mean we couldn't really be pissed if they never promised anything and gave us something, as little as it was. But that isn't the case.

We've explained it 1000 times since the Modkit released, there were often posts on the subreddit with a tonne of upvotes which stayed on the frontpage for quite some time. At this point you don't have an excuse to claim that there hasn't been any dialogue. And you could just download the Modkit and look at it yourself, you don't need any experience nor much technical knowledge in order to see how limited and shitty it is.

Why don't you make them instead of whining? -
Bandit Face Mask [Mod Suggestion]

That works? How do you do that then? setcustomhead('head_robbery') to reset setcustomhead('head_0') try replacing the 0 with other numbers if you dont like the result -

Just use the debug console...what a waste of time.
