  1. I'm running into a problem lately, long story short, battle music won't play as frequently as I wished it would. The story is as follows: I'm level 48 with armor with a rating of 26k (exploited fortify restoration potion) and when I get attacked by every single guard in whiterun the music that plays is the normal world music, as if I'm not really into a difficult situation (which honestly, I am not, but not due to my armor, it's due to my magic skills mainly) so I take off my armor mid fight, guess what, battle music starts to play immediately, either that or I drop below 30% health, then battle music is forced to play, nor even dragon fights have the epic dragon battle music, so it feels a bit sad. Now I want to find the script that determines the parameters to whether play battle music or not, and I want to edit it to make battle music trigger at any time, regardless of other externalities, even if it's just a mudcrab attacking me. But had no luck in such empress, as the papyrus script manager of the creation kit barely has 3 scripts that have the "music" word in their names. So I'd like to know if these are editable parameters (music playback trigger, etc) and which script should I go for to edit them. to add: I tried getting a lower rating armor, got a 417 rating total set, but battle music still is not playing.
  2. On the topic. My purpose is to make a system that carries over achievements from one character to all newly created characters on skyrim, namely using a special chest that will spawn at a determined place containing a custom amount of varied items that you will have earned and/or stored inside. I wanted to do it using ESP files or exporting script data, but as far as I've researched there is nothing nearly close in other versions of bethesda creation kits (oblivion construction set, GECK) So, the question is: is there any way, without the use of external programs, to script an automatically export+import of the item data in the container chest function or anything that might do the trick? I'm all open for suggestions as I'm still rather shallow on the research in this matter
  3. If you've played it on PC, then you had to use Steam at least once to unlock it. If you've been playing it since without Steam by just making a shortcut to TESV.exe, then you DID bypass it. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. The PC version by default uses Steam. It's not bad to bypass it or anything though, you just won't get Achievements. Edit: Upon re-reading the original post, I realize you may by chance have been making fun of the misspelling of Steam as stream instead. Gotcha... yes I use it with steam and edit: yes :P
  4. meh either ways i hate him, just as I hate everyone in the dark brotherhood and you sure you cannot force him to equip 2 daggers through console?
  5. one thing I do is that whenever I obtain a unique cool looking weapon (such as dawnbreaker) I pump my smithing to 150-200 and improve it to be on par with my daedric sword, making me a "custom weapon" of course, I also have the rule of never improving past 100 smithing for perked weapons and armor
  6. I never used skyrim with stream don't know why I need a way to bypass it
  7. it doesn't work like in oblivion that each 10 skill points you gain a level, here every skill point works towards level, and higher level skills gives more level progress than lower level skills the hard cap is at level 81, with all skills at 100, doesn't matter in what order you level them
  8. lolwut I missed a great deal here, i had to kill cicero... oh i see, after reading the wiki well my original objective was to destroy the dark brotherhood as much as I could, interested only in the blade of woe so when I knew I could kill cicero I hesitated not to do so when he was dying in the dawnstar sanctuary...
  9. As I've said before, it's about the journey, not the destination: if you rush every single quest that tells you to fetch an item/kill someone just to have the quest completed and receive rewards, you will find no enjoyment in it don't rush through the dungeons, try to loot and explore all you can, find creative ways of killing enemies (using traps, reversepickpocketing poisons, etc..) rather than CHAAAAAARGE!!! and kill them in 1 hit... if your only objective in skyrim is to finish the game, you're gonna miss A LOT
  10. hum I press F to set an item from inventory to favorites
  11. will require a 20 hour downtime of the nexus site to be uploaded tough
  12. all sneak attacks are critical... I think it has to do with how much you "overkill" them, i.e. how much health you take away from them after they hit 0 health, same happens with one handed weapons and 2 handed, which only plays the finishing animation if you can deal a lot of damage over the health of the enemy. that being said, it might also factor how alert the enemy is of your presence
  13. do the torches really last just 5 minutes?
  14. for question 1: no there isn't a way, but you should leave your horse away if you suspect there are enemies nearby, or you run the risk of having your horse let the enemy know your position of get itself killed by attacking the enemies if you run away enough from your horse, you shouldn't have that problem about companions: if you really like to sneak, you should just dismiss all companions and go solo mission, but that's just my taste (imo when assassinating, companions get in your way) for question 2: it's the same story in archery, you can't really know if they're hostiles. My advice: shoot a warning arrow nearby, and try to listen to what they say, or simply hide away and shoot an arrow on them, this way you'll know the name of the target, and if they don't know it was you who shot it, they shouldn't attack back if they were friendly (I'm not too sure about this)
  15. Not for me, according to MSI afterburner, max CPU usage was 70%, while max GPU usage was 99%, this playing on ultra and running around on open world. my processor: i7 2630QM 2.00 GHz and my GPU is Radeon HD 6770m (2GB)
