  1. sigh.... i have another thread on here complaining about how that mod doesn't do anything when i use it. eventually the conversation comes to an end when someone notes that it doesn't actually stop things from spawning into your vision...........if you could confirm that when used correctly this mod actually makes grass and trees visible at incredible distance then please do.
  2. Does anyone know how to make trees and shrubbery not pop into your vision as you run throughout the world? would love to have it rendered far out of my general view. really really kills the immersion to have trees spawn all at once when i walk into a new cell.
  3. you are in fact correct. i was thinking this a moment ago. anyone know a mod that pushes the distance at which grass and trees load? just tried flintsforeverview and it broke my gui...didn't work either.
  4. ah i see. but my real problem is that im not seeing anything in the distance, not the frame rate. im assuming that the mod is supposed to let you see grass and trees beyond 50 yards right? i see the distant land but nothing between me and the distant lands. just grassy fields. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h104/niku13/111-1.jpg observe.......this is with my ugrid tree count or whatever set to 60 so let me rephrase my first post. i have 60+fps with everything maxed out on an amazing machine but the mod that supposed to let me see things in the distance doesn't do anything.
  5. oh i see what you were trying to do. ya i got the fps thing fixed im just trying to get the actual game to show trees and grass without spawning them into my vision. edit - setting uGridDistantTreeRange or uGridDistantCount to anything from 15 to 60 makes no difference. stuff still spawns in out of nowhere at 50 yards approx.....
  6. okay. what does lowering it do exactly? i figured it made things appear only closer........ higher = better?
  7. interesting. so i took your advice on changing ugridstoload....which was set to 5. i bumped it up to 20 and now it crashes when i try to load a game. readme doesn't say anything about the ugridtoload nor this streamline and stutter remover but i will try both and report back, got to fix the crash problem first. thanks btw.
  8. interesting. i did however, after copying ever single one included in the 1.8 folder into my data folder and running tes4lodgen get serious slow down. i do notice the buildings in the distance just not trees, grass and small rocks. really annoying that i get so much slow down from a few structures in the distance though. that normal on modern top line computers?
  9. no. i hadn't done that. i just did though. i still see no difference. trees still pop in at 50 yards or something. thanks for the idea though. im using HDR lighting and not bloom....could this be a problem? I really want to get this to work. i got a i7 and a 5850 that i cant use lol........
  10. so i have been at this for a long time now. i installed 1.8 by manually copying all the mesh and texture files over into my oblivion data folder. then ran the tes4lod program. it finished. i dont notice a difference. whats wrong? the lod program is giving me no errors and takes about a min to run. i want to get my oblivion like the pics people upload where you can see a ton at all distances and not have shrubery just pop up as am running along. im not concerned about performance, im pretty sure my comp can handle it i just want distance! Currently i can see really far but i cant see shrubbery or rocks or any real detail until i get close. Thanks for any help i can get!
