  1. Please help me out here, Bethesda / modders elsewhere have been unable to assist me. I am simply trying to convert my esp to esm for use. I click to convert to a "full master", it creates an empty esm, as well as emptying my esp (I have to save after to ensure it does not completely delete its contents). So what am I doing wrong here? Why does the esm not transfer the data, or am I missing something in the conversion process?
  2. Even with exporting the landscape, putting it into a ba2 and finding my POI in the wild, I am still having landscape issues, where it uses the original block and does not save any of my changes. Is it because it is not an esm? I am unsure how to enable it to be an esm regardless.
  3. Hey fellas, looking for a little assistance as I'm still a rookie with scripts. I have an NPC script that, when said NPC dies, they disappear. It's simple and it works. However I want a bit more appearance instead of the body just disappearing, my thought was using an Actor effect (with a flame effect and slow fade out option) would be a nice end for the NPC. I just cannot for the life of me figure out a way to enable an effect to said NPC upon their death, and include it in the script. It's also not a specific enemy, it would be a generic one fought countless times, so having it as an NPCREF may be ruled out. I appreciate any help.
  4. Hey all, I have a slight hickup and I'm wondering if you guys can help me find the problem. I want the player to activate a device that then teleports them to a new location, however they lose all their items in the process. I know the script works as I recieve no errors, but the game crashes when it begins to load the new area.   5. Hey fellas, back with another question, which I'm sure has a simple answer I can't figure out. I have a bunch of robot NPCs for a quest, and it gives you the option to hack them in game. How would I go about stopping the player from doing this to these essentials? Thanks.

  7. Hey fellas, need help because I feel like an actual child trying to figure this out. I want to make the player and NPCs die when they fall off a cliff into a massive pit, full of acid. Primarily you should die when you hit the acid but alas, you do not. I can't find any correct script anywhere and no actual information on how to make this happen, so if you know, please baby-step me through this process. Thanks! :pinch:

  9. I think the best way you can re-create this yourself is download Armorsmith and the mod that lets you wear armor over any clothing. You can use Armorsmith to turn armor pieces invisible in the crafting bench I believe.
  10. "Something similar was done in the past with Half Life>Counter Strike so therefore it must be possible right? " Firstly these games are pretty old compared to Fallout 4. Furthermore, pretty sure modders don't have access to in-house servers nor posses the hours, technology and information to make such a thing possible. "with all the talent available in the modding community would it be possible to create an interesting online Fallout and basically show Bethesda how to do it properly?" Bethesda is a multi-million dollar company. Just because they didn't release an online game to yours or someone else's liking is fine, everyone has their own opinions. But a mod of that calibre will most likely not be possible.
  11. Load the mod in the CK, find that weapon in the weapons tab and place it in the cell you'd like or somewhere in the Worldspace.
  12. People like attractive faces. For two reasons. I'm sure you can guess what those are.

Not sure of any specific level-design tutorials, but I either go off gut-instinct or look at other games my mod might take inspiration from. examples: If I'm making a exploration themed worldspace, I could make it quite open with a lot of small spots to explore inbetween big locations If I'd make a horror-themed mod I could make the rooms dark, claustrophobic, enemies jump out or are super strong etc. It's best to just go with whatever comes to mind, or even write things down for another idea in the future.
  14. I spoke to Trainwiz earlier today, he mentioned that apparently you can't place objects inside of trees (example: A vehicle in the trees branches), so I will test this and see what happens
