  1. i have a vendor that really desires the items they buy, so they're willing to pay top caps: i want him to barter at amounts different than what's dictated by CHR+perks. ideally, the price would be asymmetric, as they're eager to buy, but not eager to sell (i.e. not a normal vendor discount). the only idea i've seen for this is to apply an invisible barter perk when opening the vendor UI, then remove it when finished. that sounds like it might work, though in a bit of a roundabout way. the other approach would be to alter the NPC's vendor ability. however, changing his CHR doesn't seem to affect anything. it may be that nothing about the NPC affects barter, and it's all calculated from the PC's stats. are there any other possible approaches? thanks, - emilio
