  1. I sided with the Stormcloaks because I tend to go for the underdog, and that's clearly why the Stormcloaks are even included in the Skyrim story. It's a Star Wars, American Revolution kind of situation, with maybe a tiny smidgeon of Czech/Polish partisan discontent thrown in.

In any case, the Legion wears skirts and that just isn't wise for the cold mountains of the north. So Stormcloaks win by virtue of not wearing skirts.

Scots, specificaly the Highlanders wore skirts and they lived in the mountions of Scotland. Skirts do belong in cold northern mountains.

Scottish ( 1/2) Pride!! Kilts forever!

  2. i played as an argonian in oblivion, and yes the character models in skyrim are better, but as a dragonborn argonian, i feel like the premaure born dragon with no wings, and all of the other dovah make fun of me

on another note, i can't roleplay as well with any of the beast races, cause i cant visualize myself inside them if that makes any sense.

  3. why do so many ppl marry her? haha

becasue she is a merchant, who has over 700 gold, can be accesed at any time, and will by anything. she's not bad looking either ;)

  4. i was dugeon crawling with my crusader character and Uthgerd as part of the main quest and, we run into a group of three falmer, two usiing magic and swords, we fight i get killed multiple times, when i finally do kill them, i look for Uthgerd and see her laying down in a face pool of her own blood. i thought that companions wouldn't die unless the player dealt the killing blow when they fall to one knee? What's up with that? i'm pissed for two reason, 1. She was carrying dragon bones and some dwnmer armor 2. i was considering marrying her.
  5. - My imperial crusader, Balian, Baron of Ibilen, is neutral, bit that is because he doesn't care for politics, he only cares about the people.

-My Nord dual-wielder Wulfgar went stormcloack because he is a nord sees the empire as no longer effective, and belives in the freedom of the poeple of the empire.

    - My female dunmer assassin, Danerys Nightstalker is going to go imperial, cause a weak and ineffective empire crushing rebellions, and trying to appease the Thalmor, will turn a blind eye to assassinations and burglaries.

    - My female Breton mage, Rachel the Mystic, is neutral becasue all see cares about is becoming more powerful, and she sees absorbing dragon souls as a means to to that.

  6. reading the posts, i guess i give the skyrim forums another shot. truth be told i come on these forums everyday, and i just couldn't stay away  I decided to come back becasue i shouldn't let other posters get to me, and if i want to help these flame wars cease, i need to be here and be proactive, not reactive, and do idiotic stuff like leave the forum ( which in hindsight doesn't really help anybody), so what im saying is , I'M BACK
  7. Reading over the recent topics, and constantly running into a " i love skyrim" and a "i hate skyrim" arguments. This arguments are pointless, don't get me wrong i love a good debate about whatever, but this is getting ridiculous. People like and/or enjoy different things in games. I think it has gotten crazy that nobody can let people have their own opinions anymore without someone wanting to start a flame war over it. I mean i like skyrim, but if another member posts that they don't like it, then i think " what a shame", but hey everyone is entitled to their opinion. However this post is probably going to get flamed, and someone will make posts debating my observation, so this is my last post on this forum until everyone gets a grip (which probably won't happen) . Good bye all, was good times while it lasted.

    Sincerely,

    p.s.

i'll still make mods and post them, i just won't be on the forum.

  8. when i got the game the issues i had were a couple texture ones, but they were few and far between. Then the quest " A cornered rat" dodn't show up in my journal. ok, thier is a way to fix that with the console, so i was upset only for an hour. However i hadn't encounterd any CTD, for that i was thankfull, i patch the game to 1.2, im running around with my new character and in a blink of an eye im staring at my wallpaper, while i admit its much more elegent then an oblivion CTD i was pissed none the less. :wallbash:

BETHESDA!!! IF YOU CAN READ THIS POST, FIX THE DAMN GAME!!!!!! :wallbash:

  9. unless you dual-weild, or put a spell in the other hand if you equip a single one-handed weapon (mace, axe or blade) you can block. as for which is better, i personally perfer swords, in the long run its better then the axe and mace. the faster you can attack, the quicker they will fall.
  10. anyone else notice this trend;

-when oblivion came out all the morrowind players kept saying how much better x was in morrowind then in oblivion.

-when skyrim came out oblivion players kept saying how much better x was in oblivion then skyrim.

    - when TES 6 comes out skyrim players will say how much better x was in skyrim then in TES 6

  11. Vlindrel Hall is my favorite, love the dwarven look.. All the houses are lacking with the amount of mannequins, plaques, and weapon racks, so when the creation kit comes out I'll make a dwarven home or a tower with a an ungodly amount of weapon racks and plaques, and mannequins to show off my weapon and armor collections ( mostly dwarven artifacts, what can i say their awesome  )
  12. on your first character just do anything that is fun, don't worry about playing a certain way or worry about anything for that matter. try everything screw around, have fun, then on your second character you'll know what everything is and try something more specific.
  13. i would debate that the difficulty of the dragon fights are directly proportional to your level, difficulty, and what type of play style you are leaning towards. A Warrior being the easiest, then a thief, and a age being the most difficult to slay dragons as.

as for the fights getting repetitive, they are a little, but I'd rather fight a bunch of dragons then crawl thru a bunch of oblivion gates.

  14. - your the dragonborn regardless.

    - anyway think of the oblivion crisis after you closed the gate at kvatch and got martin the gates started opening up, slowly at first then more and more until a pleasant walk in the wild became a fight against demons, since you could spit and have it land on a gate.

    - defeating the dragon at the west tower and the starting of Way of the voice, when they shout DRAGONBORN ,when you enter whiterun after killing the dragon, that starts the dragons spawning all over, then as you progress in the main storyline and level up the dragon spawn list will start to include blood dragons, frost dragons, and even named dragons that Alduin wakes up.

    - as to the original post you really need to try it, its fun and satisfying to literally shout at someone and see them fly backward, catch on fire, run in fear etc. like Venithiem said you should at least try it.

  15. Aragorn's sword Narsil is probably just a longsword, or maybe a bastard sword. Gimli's axe is short because he's short :P

    nerd correction

Narsil was the sword before it was broken. After it was reforged in the first LOTR book ( yes the movie got it wrong) Argaorn called it Anduril, Flame of the West forged from the shards of Narsil.

also i think of Aragon's sword as a hand and a half sword. useful for both two handed and one handed attacks.

  16. i downloaded it because that one girl in white run who keeps saying "im not afraid of you even if you are my elder" with the i do what i want mentally. well since it was a special occcasion i used one of my 10 dadric arrows with my ebony bow poisoned with an extra ice wraith's bane poison i tcl myself to the top of my house, Breezehome, crouched, zoomed and fired. that little brat dropped like a sack of potatoes... ( evil laughing)
  17. I am ready for custom houses, i was disappointed that i spent 25,000 gold on proudsipre manor + 5000 more for the furnishings and i had as much display space as i did in Breezehome. But the jarl's steward said " no backies"

    - for my dream-house id be happy with an exterior home in one of those towers you find, with non bugged weapon racks all around and a few mannequins to hold my dwarven armor and weapon collection. (I'm aware that i could sell them and or craft them, but if the dwarfs are gone i like to think that these pieces are rare, so i keep them. and they look badass  )

-and a bed, and just three chests one for other weapons, one for armor and one for mis (books, notes, gems, hides etc)
