yes, but you have to equip your sword in your left hand for this.
no you dont have to switch your sword with your shield to perform a bash. you need a shield equipped and press and hold the block button to perform the shield bash.
dont believe me, then read crzyfool's article on ripten
also its called a SHIELD bash, not a swor bash or a weapon bash, a SHIELD bash, implying it requires a shield.

as long as you don't start chanting and running in a circle when you get your copy going " i got skyrim!!" "i got skyrim"i think you'll be ok
if you do get there and you are getting a since of violence in the crowd, get your copy silently, slip it under your coat, and walk calmly, but briskly back towards your car, avoiding any shadowy areas. :ninja:

(maybe the worst thread of all time)
your correct here  lol

Fallout 4, whenever that comes out. :nuke:
vanilla skyrim will keep me happy thru 2-3 playthroughs, after that mods will cause the game to never die.
only reason i uninstalled oblivion was to make more room for skyrim, and because someone hit me over the head with an urge to roam the Capital and Mojave wastelands, until skyrim comes out.

Oblivion: iron < steel < silver < elvish < dwarvish < glass < obsidian < daedric
FO3: still using that 10mm pistol at level 30
FONV: still using that 9mm pistol at level 30
Skyrim: ???
Do we know if Skyrim's equipment is strictly leveled, like Oblivion, or more role-oriented, upgradable, and perennially useful, like the Fallout games? Or something in between?
obsidian wasn't a weapon type or armor type in vanilla oblivion.
as for the leveling question i dont know, nor do i care. I'll enjoy the game regardless.
also, mods

Then don't dual wield. It's really easy. Or, complain...also an option. Or mod it out and become OP...it's a single player game, what do I care?
If you don't care go elsewhere? Why are you even posting in this thread.
Because just like you, I have an opinion and have the right to say it. Why are you even posting in this thread if you'll just complain? It's the complaining about the "balancing" that I mind, but if you mod the game and make dual wielding super strong...then have it your way, it's not my game...so I don't care about that. Have at it.
Im posting here because I care about dual wielding and I feel as though defenseless fighting makes for boring gameplay. You are here to voice your opinion and have done nothing but disagree with people and give no valid reasons for your stance.
If you were to disagree and provide constructive arguments that is all well and good but from what I have seen so far your stance is "Nah you're wrong, but im not going to argue because i dont care." Makes me wonder why you are here that is all.
you haven't backed your your statements either with facts, just saying its stupid isn't a good reason.
as for creditability natelovesyou is a far more credible source then you are. he's been here longer and always has something to say that is relevant.
what nate is really saying is that you have your own opinion, stop complaining and do whatever you want in your copy of skyrim.
as for why he's posting here, its the same as me we both love skyrim, and video games ,and enjoy gaming forums such as this.
what i want to know is why YOU are here your a newb, and the majority of your posts are complaints about duel-weilding or arguing with a senior member on the forum.
so STFU!!

the NUMBER ONE thing I want fixed is...
shoddy modders!
yes, i am serious,... I got so sick of downloading a mod that should only be 5k bytes or so and see'ing it as over 2 megabytes and thinking to myself "wtf?" because some idiot compressed all scripts.
then you try telling them this on their mod page, and they dont get it! ...some people should not be modding...(you know who you are! *points angry finger*)
so, I am basically dreading a repeat of this because of complete noobs releasing buggy work without a word of warning or even checking their own work for that matter...
Breaking ten lockpicks on a very hard locked chest to find a lockpick inside it.^^ and this
speaking as a modder apprentice, working towards mastership, everybody who wants to be a modder has to start somewhere.
-Only by trial and error does anybody get good at modding these games. at times your going to want to beat your head against the wall. :wallbash:
- At one point or another you probably have overlooked a bug or two when you released a mod, everybody has.
- what i didn't like about oblivion was level scaling, and the physic guards. how did they know i stole from the priest!!! :psyduck:

the skyrim equivalent to dive rock in oblivion with the skyrim adoring fan equivalent.
Adoring Fan: By Azura By Azura its the Dragonb...
Dovakiin: Fus Ro Dah!!!
Adoring Fan: ...orn!!..... (fades as he falls to the bottom of the cliff, and lands in Riverwood)

jesus give this a rest. :wallbash: here are three good reasons to stop talking about this.
1) Leave the perk trees to the imagination, so you can be surprised when you play the game.
Leave your opinion to your own threads then.
2) Look at the perks that have already been leaked and let that fuel your imagination for the rest.Already have, and they are incomplete. Why would I need to use my imagination when I can get actual information? You make no sense.
3) The game is out in less then 10 days, so be patient, and if you got such a hard-on for the perks, once you have free rain in the game look at them to your hearts content.I leave to OCS at the end of this month. Unlike you I won't be able to spend the next six months sitting on my couch screwing around with the game. I have a very small window of ~2 weeks to play Skyrim until the middle of next year.
There is no "good" reason to not have this information out.
1) you don't own this thread, you posted a question/ statement/ rant on a public forum and i have replied.
2) getting actual information might be difficult if the people who got a chance to play the game were sworn to silence, or if they only got 20 min to play it. god forbid that those people spend their time not answering your every question.
3) have fun at OCS and succeed  however the only reason you sound frustrated is because you are on a time crunch. hate to break it to you but the world doesn't revolve around anyone.
4) be grateful with what has been posted because those people who posted it were not entitled to do so.

I'm confused. Does anyone know if the collectors edition comes with the burlap preorder map or does it only have the paper one that comes with all copies of the game. Or can you preorder the CE and get the map?
thanks
yes the collectors edition comes with the map on cloth/burlap material just as if you only pre-ordered the game.

I feel fine thanks for asking.
but I hate my professors right now. they are giving me tests all during the week skyrim is coming out, then a midterm after the weekend with skyrim. :wallbash:

Corakus... your a wizard of renown and power... STOP HIM!!

let us just hope we can enchant them as well as create them. The fact that you couldn't enchant arrows always irked me in oblivion, I always seemed to come across the powerful Elven enchanted northwind arrows too quickly.
they already confirmed that you couldn't enchant arrows, although enchanted arrows are in the game ( i think)
okay that does it! i'm making a Mod....
and i'll download it..
i'm sure you will, and while we are on the topic of arrows I always found it a but unrealistic in Oblivion at how one bottle of poison could only be used once per-arrow - say, a single 500ml bottle of poison could technically be used to poison 50 arrows - that would be far more realistic and it would also make the kind of poison used more of a tactical choice as well, certain enemies could be resistant to certain kinds of damage.
make a mod for that and i'll download it too
you are correct that is more realistic then dumping one whole bottle over one arrow.

hail the prince of corruption Molag Bal!!

I shall take my computer, go outside into the Swedish winter and place it right down into a snowpile.
I shall then use the cold to my advantage and overclock the living hell out of it.
Then I shall proceed to play Skyrim religiously, naked. During loading times I shall hug my computer in order to absorb the heat neccessary to survive this epic playthrough.
If I get hungry I'll eat my legs cuz I don't need them to play Skyrim.
Dude.... that is so extreme.... YAH I NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!!!

Argonians are hardy folk.
well said
-
assuming that they are cold-blooded at all, since it doesn't say... http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian
why are you so concerned about it?
-its fantasy, its all made up
- people like to play as argonians
- maybe they aren't cold-blooded like a snake
- also the devs made the game, so they can put whatever the hell they want in the game.
- and mudcrabs are awesome :P
also their were always going to be ten races. the ten classic races for the elder scrolls. the question at the beginning was if they were adding new races to the game.
-
Skyrim is definitely the last Elder Scrolls. Just like MW3 is also the last CoD game ever being made...
Maybe MW3 is the last COD game. I will only be happy for that.
But skyrim can't be the last
"But skyrim won't be the last."
think positive

That would be fletching awesome if we could! ;)
Well played, sir! You don't get many opportunities to make a cheesy bowyer joke.
Would you say...it was a good shot?
What have I done?
opened the door for archery puns... Bravo... :armscrossed:

Markath "House of Horrors" quest good guy fix

- the parnuthex (shitty spelling i know) example is not a good one you don't have to kill him, it frustrates the blades, but they'll call you in a few days.
- as for the molog bal quest-line it was a way to get the dadric artifact.
- Now i confess that like mehrunes razor, you had the option of killing the mythic dawn guy or taking the shards back to his museum,
- but be honest to yourself are you really going to turn down two awesome and deadly weapons merly to save some fool's life and accept a few hundred gold and a pat on the head?
