  1. My trinity of games:

    Rpg: Arcanum.

    RTS: Homeworld.

    SIM: Conflict: Freespace.

All of them brimming with passion from the devs.

(yes i know Arcanum is a bit buggy, but there are mods for that)

(there is also hi-rez textures for Freespace)

  2. Universe at War: Earth Assault, but it's sadly out of production iirc.

    .

    Maybe the new Outcast-game?

    .

Ah, you said non-scripted...but also that you want to make your own story.

    Rogue-likes/lites?

    .

I'll give you a list of some (imo) hidden gems.

-do bear in mind that some of these games are from the last century x), but i vouch for their quality.

    YMMV of course.

    .

    Alien Logic

    Arcanum

    Baldur's Gate Saga (+IWD/NWN/Planescape)

    Entomorph

    Independence War 2

    Freelancer

    Freespace Saga

    Lionheart

    PoE

    Rimworld

    Secret World

    Shadowrun

    Tachyon: The Fringe

    The Witcher Series

    ToEE

    Underrail

    UnReal World

That's it for now i think.

  3. Rofl, i would be laughing constantly if that happened to me. :)

Unless i couldn't fix it of course, yikes.

First, check the links i have provided at the end, and if that doesn't work, then follow this list:

    1. Go to C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\ & move your .ini-files to another folder.

1a. Turn on "show hidden files" in folder options if you cannot find them.

    2. Run the launcher, set up options to low for safety(you can enable mods/higher settings later).

    3. Run the game and load your game to see if you still have the issue.

My best guess is you have ifpsclamp to something other than 0, which is known to wreak havok(pun intended) on the physics.

Ifpsclamp may be named differently in skse.

It needs to be below 60 in any case.

  4. Ok i figured out what you mean.
The preculling you are talking about is

    bUseCombinedObjects

Which is not advisable to turn off, as it is geometry-related.
And yes, you indeed need to turn it back on before leaving the settlements.
It does seem like it could be used safely, but you never know with these games. :D

Are you using it to remove stuff that normally can't be removed/disabled?

I was talking about load-time pre-culling, which is something else.

  5. I remember you could use it as a tweak in most earlier games from beth, i just don't recall using it myself.

I found the tech regarding it here: Precombined References & PreVIS

I am guessing you are talking about the last option here?

-if not, which setting is it?

    .

    [General]bUseCombinedObjects=0bPreCulledObjectsEnabled=0

    .

I have been having some texture/object-popins myself recently, and i suspect that the game is somehow not utilizing the available memory properly.

  6. Using These three programs together will give you a good start, and as they say: "Well begun is half done".

OBS is an open source broadcast- & recording engine that allows you to both stream directly to services such as twitch & youtube, as well as record videos with added filters. It has many advanced features.

It can be found here: Open Broadcaster Software.

VoiceAttack as many people are already familiar with can do much more than just interpret commands for games.

You can even use it to give another AI commands via macros!

You can find it here: VoiceAttack VRS, and on steam.

An alternative (to VoiceAttack) that is free if you have english windows, can be found here:
How to use macros with windows voice recognition.

Avidemux is a both simple and advanced video-editing tool, made a long time ago with some powerful CLI-capabilities, and an easy-to-use GUI. It resides here! (scroll down on the page to find win32/64 dl)

    Avidemux wiki is here: Wiki.
    Avidemux tutorials: Avidemux Youtube channel.

With this setup, it should be fairly easy to get up and running.

    Best regards, subtle_shade.

  7. Regarding the topic, i would indeed prefer to have videos with no watermark embedded.

AVS does seem to have some nice features though.

Btw, out of curiosity, is "4you" a franchise?
I've seen it embedded with / connected to a lot of different things.

  8. Most updates are from around a year ago, and a lot of people have left modding or are on hiatus.

It is also the middle of the summer. :)

    I'd suggest these for basic:

    Horizon

    Everyone's favourite friend v1(compat w Horizon)
    True Storms (ditto)

    And these for advanced:
    Fo4hotkeys
    Command Companion
    Take cover

That should make your Fo4 a new experience.

  9. Yes, sorry i forgot to mention it is a new feature in firefox.

It just struck a nerve as per the problems relating to accounts here a couple of years back.
-I do believe it is not a problem, but better safe than sorry.

At the same time, I still would like an answer as i take security on the web seriously.
Error 40 and all that considered. ;)

    Cheers

  10. Greetings.

Just noticed that when logging in via the nexus mods page, it is over an unsecured connection.

Considering previous problems on the site, i just wanted to know how or if this is in any way a problem with regards to security?

    Best regards.
