Okay I have reinstalled all of my mods solved my other issue and still have the same problem as this, I have a funny feeling it may be linked to the Wars in Skyrim mod as it is the only mod I've got that really edits NPC''s in anyway (I used to use PISE but Wars in Skyrim seemed the better choice) Avernite, are you using Wars in skyrim dark rainbow IV?

Cheers for the reply, I decided to have a look at my catalyst control centre and reset it to use the application setting and it seems to have done the trick.

I had exactly the same problem, there having the argument when you enter the building but then it wont give you the quest dialogue and if you go straight to Arvel he's dead and doesn't have the claw in his possession. I've reinstalled all of my mods to see if that will fix the problem but unfortunately I'm now facing another problem that I want to get fixed before seeing if this one is fixed....long day. I did try downloading a vanilla save game that starts you off in Riverwood and when I did that it gave me the quest as per usual. Maybe you have a mod installed that is causing Arvel to die before you can get to him? What mods have you got installed maybe I can compare them to mine and see if we can find the issue.

Hello peeps, I have a problem, I have a number of HD texture mods installed (Skyrim HD, Serious HD retexture etc) and whilst playing the game right from the start it appears that if I look at a texture at a certain angle or from a distance it reverts back to vanilla textures. I have tried resetting archive invalidation and had no luck. I have recently reinstalled all my mods and did not suffer from this problem prior to reinstalling. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
