  1. It's not that I don't want it ... I just have no idea what it is ... I dunno if it will help with my editing ... And I really haven't got too much money at the moment :/ If I could I would have brought the GTX 460 already but I don't really do too much gaming anymore and so I just want something to help boost my PC's performance and help with editing (:
  2. They don't make the 260 anymore ... But the 240 definitely has DX10
  3. Does it not? It says on the website that it has Microsoft DirectX 10.1 ...
  4. What nVidia card would you suggest? I was looking at the GT 240 because it also has Mercury Playback ... Then maybe run 2 SLI?
  5. I thought the 5770 had DX11 aswell? Would I be better off saving some money and getting the GT 240? Not really sure what difference DX11 will make as none of the games I run (not that I really use them) are DX11 compatible? EDIT: In fact only one of my games is DX10 compatible ...
  6. Okay guys - I have been looking and I was thinking of either getting the HD 5770 or the GTX 460 - But I really don't have that much money at the moment to spend on things I might not need. I mainly do editing using Adobe CS5 (now you can see where my money went -.-) and do a little bit of gaming on games like Minecraft, Fallout 3, Burnout and Operation Flashpoint - Although I really don't do too much gaming at all anymore ... Will upgrading my card from the NVIDIA 210 to one of these make a massive amount of difference? Or am I better off getting a cheaper one and saving myself some money? Thanks (:
  7. They are way out of my budget ... The only two cards I have found within my budget are the Radeon HD5770 and the NVIDIA GTX 460 the 460 is right at the top of my budget though. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one of them I should get? I have been looking at the EVGA SuperClocked 460 and not really sure about the 5770 - But that is right at the top of my budget ...
  8. Ah okay (: At least I shouldn't have to pay out for anything else on top of the card! The two cards I have been looking at are the ATI HD5770 and the NVIDIA GTX 460 ... Don't suppose you know anything about it? From what I can tell the GTX 460 is better, but I am not sure if it is worth the extra £60 or so ...
  9. I won't be doing any overclocking ... But if I am paying the £20 extra, would it be worth just getting the NVIDIA GTX 460?
  10. I have a 960W power supply, so I think that is enough? Do I need extra cooling?
  11. Not really much more than £100 (GBP) I don't really want the best card out there - Just something pretty decent - And anything will be better than the one I have now!
  12. Do you think I should get the - Sapphire HD5770 1GB GDDR5 or the XFX Radeon HD 5770 They're about the same price, but don't know if there is a difference?
  13. Well for the programs I use, the CUDA is worthless ... So the HD5770 is looking kinda promising ... Should I go for it?
  14. So I got my computer about a month back and I think I really need to upgrade the graphics card in it ... Only thing is I don't know how much of a difference it'll make ... I mainly do filming and editing with HD footage using programs like After Effects and 3D Studio max but I also play on games - Although that's not my main priority. At the moment I have an Intel i7 960 3.2GHz processor, 6GB DDR3 RAM, and an nVidia GeForce 210 graphics card ... Been looking at ATi HD5770 or if I REALLY push my budget nVidia GTX 460 ...
