  1. It's been a long time but has there been any updates on this project? I NEED SOME SNEWWW

    Hi, sorry, this is not a project, it was only me who was messing around to see how good I could possibly do. But as I have seen, it's not that easy, and I have no experience in making own textures that would actually look good. It was just kind of a showcase because of the time I invested I didn't want it to be unseen.

     

    We will probably have to wait until Warhorse Studios release their modding tools before we can see anyone doing something like this for real.

Been spending a week straight now every day several hours sorting and fixing my mod list of over 200 mods on new vegas, most issues I've fixed alone so far, but now I've just encountered another one, which is not a big one, and it doesn't bother me that much, but it's still kind of weird. The names of the current location you enter, or the names on doors are all weird characters. Maybe someone knows what this is, if not then I'm not too worried about it. Thanks.

    Those are all the mods I have (so far) still in the process of installing.
    Install order is the same as the .esp order. I'm thinking it's something with PN and MCM or DarnifiedUI which I then overwrote with CellHUD which doesn't have an .esp though.
  3. So, I've just spent several hours on editing textures for this game. I've never done anything like this before, and have had absolutely zero experience before I started, and even now still barely know anything about it. I'm not really good at it, mostly because I wasn't working very accurately because I didn't want to put a lot of effort into it because I didn't know how good it would look like. So I just messed around and then went to see how the game looks like. It doesn't look that great, my main problem was that I didn't know which textures connect to which, and which textures are inside and which outside, which should be covered by snow and which should not be. I'm not asking for help here or so, I don't think I have the patience nor the experience to keep this little project of mine going, I just wanted to show it off so my effort wasn't for nothing. Or maybe it will serve as inspiration for a more gifted modder than me.

In the beta of the game there was a bug where when you were on a certain distance to a woman who was walking towards you on a road or so, her boobs would clip through her clothing until you were close enough so it would render in properly. That back then already had me thinking about a nude mod. Hope someone can make one similar in quality to fallout for NPC's.

  5. I take it you're just converting mods for own consumption, not public release? (Takes an amount of experience to do the latter correctly).

     

    You don't need to do anything about the loose files. Just copy them to the Fallout folder as with any other mod. If there's no ESP, the mod needs no conversion and is compatible with TTW by default.

    yes correct, only for myself. i think publishing someone else's work would not be legal, or at least rightfully anyway.

    oh okay that's cool. do these files have to go into the fallout NV folder or the fallout 3 folder though?

  6. you use Fomm. It has the built in packager. it makes bsa's.

    i am using FOMM yes. didn't know it could do that. even though i'm not sure what a BSA ist.

     

    the the files i'm trying to put into the ESP are from a mod called fallout 3 hd audio overhaul

    so i'm trying to create a mod that is compatible with TTW. i took an already existing F3 mod and want to convert it to a TTW compatible FNV mod. i know how to do this with ESP files already.

    the problem is, this mod doesn't have an ESP. so i want to take these loose files and pack them into an ESP so i can convert it for TTW as i did with the other F3 mods.

    i created an ESP with GECK after the tutorial of the official website. means, i loaded up F3 and FNV ESM and clicked SAVE, which game me the option to created an ESP. but in that tutorial after creating the ESP it only continues with how to make a vault, and i'm not interested in that. i just want to put these files from that mod i have into that ESP i created. how do i do that?

    i was just playing dark souls 2 for the first time in quiet a while (because DS3 hype) and i never really used any mods on the game. i did mod alot in F:NV and F4 though, so i'm not totally unknowing.

    and i just wanted to try some mods for DS2 the first time now, and for some reason after scanning for the game and after selecting it for modding with NMM, this setup with which i never had issues before will not let me keep going.

     

    i tried selecting all kinds of paths for the virtual mod install setup. i tired using the 2 already given paths above "mod directory" and "install info". aswell as the path in the screenshot. and a few more. but none work. and i get the same error every time i click finish.

     

    what is this all about?

  9. hi, i was just wondering if there was a mod out there that changes the in game time and day duration into real life time? means one in game day lasts actual 24 real life hours?

    maybe you could even make it so when you install the mod you set the in game time to what the real life time is. and after going off and then play again some time later, at like 6pm for example, it actually is 6 pm in game?

    • ShowAllMapMarkers <bool or bool,bool,bool> or tmm <bool or bool,bool,bool>
      • tmm 1 – Enables all locations as discovered to your Pip-Boy with fast travel (Does not update the "locations discovered" statistic in the Pip-Boy 3000).
      • tmm 0 – Disables all map markers.
      • tmm 1,0,1 – Adds all map markers as undiscovered without fast travel.

     

    oh cool thanks! that pretty much does the job. just tired it. i'm a little surprised how little more locations there actually still are to discover. i would have expected more. but it works. thanks again!

  11. so hi,

     

    i don't know if anyone has made a mod for this already, but i've been searching quiet a while now for a mod that brings back the old explorer perk from fallout new vegas, which would reveal every location on the map. and i haven't had any luck finding one yet. so maybe there's none out there yet.

     

    anyway, it was always my most beloved goal of the previous fallout games to just discover every location on the map and loot and kill all the enemies there. which also used to be the biggest fun aspect of the game to me. and i would make sure to clear out every location on the map in all my play-throughs.

    but now it just feels like i'm aimlessly wandering around, especially after completing the main quest line, and most of the side quest, it just seems like i'm just stuck with those endless quests that keep repeating themself over and over.

    and it's wayyy too annoying to run up and down the map and search for the locations yourself. which would just take ages and not be fun at all.

     

    so yea, if anyone knows a mod that reveals all locations, or if anyone thinks he/she could create a mod like this, that'd be amazing.

  12. hi, is there by any way a mod that makes scopes more realistic? what i mean by that is, when you zoom in with the scope, it take up all your screen, with the scope in the middle and everything around is black. but i'd like to see my sorroundings even when using a scoped rifle.

    like >this< for example.
