  1. Bahahaha... I sank over 500 hours into ONE CHARACTER in oblivion. I had MANY characters, and was still playing oblivion right up till skyrims release. My goal is to beat that 500 hour mark with my Skyrim character now.
  2. my two fave builds; Light armour two handed weapons - kill quick die quick, makes things interesting Conjuration / assassin - ONLY use bound weapons (as soon as you have the option) Nothing is cooler than skulking around a target or general enemy then conjuring in the weapon your about to kill them with. Also bound bows are bloody epic... perfect assassin weapon, and look choice.
  3. Scottish heritage her also, and while I am aware that the Breaveheart movie is a movie, not a historical account, I still have to say that I side with a racist bastard to some degree XD ULFRIC ALL THE WAY. Actually, it may be due to life here in australia that i actually sympathise with the stormcloaks. Due to the large number of immigrants and such, and australias f***ed up system, our country is way too accepting of changing our own culture to make others happy. One case in point, that again reflects the whole Talos debate in skyrim, is how here in aus we have to be "pollitically correct" about christmas. Christmas as a matter of fact, is a christian holiday. makes sense in "christian countries" such as aus, usa and the UK that we celebrate christmas. Its part of the culture, always has been. But now things like the nativity scene are considered politically incorrect and it can cause problems if someone complains because of religious disagreements. So while i understand the need for the support from the empire, as skyrim alone will have it hard against the aldamiri dominion, I cant ignore the oppression the nords face by the imperials.rather than infighting against each other, ALL the provinces shoudl just deal with the aldamiri as a whole, they are only a threat because they different provinces are at each others throat as well. As such, I am a stormcloak to the bone, but given the choice to slaughter a few empire soldier, or just one thalmor, its gonna be the thalmor.
  4. Well My Character: Name: Raven White-Eye Nord Male, Short dark hair, warpaint over eyes, white eyes... Light armor, full scale with helmet (trying to make glass) I agree about nords in heavy armour, i am barbarian  I use companions steel greatsword and orcish bow for dragons Hey i started a new topic titled stormcloaks rather than have this idea hiding here at the end of this thread. I give a kind of example of the idea, if you want, go throw something in there. We'll show the empire that Talos is the Ninth divine, and that Skyrim belongs to the nords!
  5. To get started here is my character: Name: Greta Race: Nord Gender: Female Greta has the blue braveheart facepaint, wears full scaled armour minus the helmet, and uses an iron greatsword. There is a scar on her cheek given to her by an Empire soldier when sheused to be a barmaid in Morthal. She refused to spend the night with a soldier, and he went to stike her with his sword. The stell platter she was holding drew his night to a close and he was carried from the pub by his comrades. Greta fled Morthal before she was arrested and was apprehended south of whiterun where she was taken to Helgen. There she was nearly executed alongside the leader of the Stormcloaks. After a narrow excape from both an execution and a dragon she fled north to Riverwood with a member of the stormcloaks who told her if she wanted to fight alongside Ulric Stormcloak, to head to Windhelm. Thats the basic backlog behind my character Greta. Im playing on adept difficulty, aka normal difficulty, and am ensuring that I never become overpowered. if three enemies arent capable of killing me if they attack at once, then its too unrealistic. Also, if EVERY dragon isnt a life or death situation, its too easy. I want this to be hard as hell, but playable. (Master makes it impossible, especially with light armour and an iron gratsword.) I hope to see other sons and daughters of skyrim post their characters here, with a little backstory perhaps explaining how you also ended up at Helgen, and logic as to how you intend to play - remember, balance is key. You cant be good at everything. Greta is a terrible archer and is more likely to be one of those pesky people muttering "Careful you dont burn something down with that fire" then casting it. As such she is ighly vulnerable to mages, having no magical offense or defense, and also being terrible at archery. Only real solution is to sneak up on them (lucky she uses light armour, makes it easier) and hope to beat them down before she is incinerated or worse.
  6. In every game to date my first, most played character has always been a Nord. Imagine my delight when I can get my main Nord, give her braveheart facepaint, plug my laptop into my 47" telly, and run around slaughtering Imps, screaming "FOR FREEDOM!" at the top of my voice. My character: Nord Female, red hair, dark blue facepaint reminisce of bravceheart. Light armour only, full scale set no helmet. (nords in heavy armour? NORDS DONT NEED HEAVY ARMOUR!) For realism, a challenge and because im a badass, only use one weapon - my first iron greatsword I picked up. (along the braveheart idea as well) I do carry a bow for taking shots at dragons before they land, but I do believe im yet to actually hit one that isnt stationary. Who else fights for skyrim? Describe your character so we know our comrades.
