as a collector, i really want reward for both side despite me probably never gonna use it so i just come up with small idea for a way to obtain unique item that kinda make sense. Vampire artifact for dawnguard chalice of blood: probably start as either as isrand send you to red water den due to rumor or you stumble upon that place yourself as dawnguard, it is everything as usual include being attack by 2 vampire lord. maybe change dialog a bit to suit the context, and then you have 2 choice: report isran and have artifact place in dawnguard fort or place any place that mod were made compatible for(maybe some secret cave in whiterun similar to warewolf cave as default option) and then tell isran that you destroy it(dude wouldn't know any better). the rest of artifact can just be fetch quest like the vampire side give by quest giver in dawnguard. now is the complicate part Dawnguard s#*! for vampire. have a quest where you go to capture a priest of arkay from rouge vampire and find a battle between dawnguard and vampire already happen. and then enthrall him he would then give quest to find dawn guard item but albit you need to run around a bit to track item cause he lost connect arkay and only have fracment of idea where these item would be. also in same vein a quest to enthrall both Sorine and gunmar have the quest start with one of the vampire find rumor about one of dawnguard leader lead the expedition for something and they want you to take care of it. this would explain why we can capture them cause they come out of dawnguard fort and the reason for these expedition is to find crossbow for Sorine and maybe for gunmar is either to capture troll or hunt rouge vampire. capture them would unlock item and vendor that these 2 provide(either Sorine give you quest or have it completely unlock crossbow) maybe have these quest being reequipment for attack fort dawnguard as in world context you take over lead blacksmith and crossbow maker.
