Solved the problem! It was becoming a vampire that caused the female idle to turn into male idle. When I turned back into a werewolf the female idle animation returned, seems like they don't have a player female animation for the female vampire characters. I hope anyone with a similar problem sees this!

So I suddenly noticed that my female character stood like a male, instead of a female like she always been doing. I noticed this after I finished the Dawnguard Soul Cairn quest (playing as Dawnguard),

Flickering Grass and Game-Data Access Issues

Yeah that is the problem for me, when I open up the OblivionLauncher there is nothing to select like that. I looked around at google and there are 2 different. I have the first, with no options to set to VeryHigh... http://pieceoflunacy.com/html-d6/sites/all/files/storyfiles/img3.png The second one shows what you described. How can I get this? Or is it only for Nvidia? http://i36.tinypic.com/1zbvrpy.png -
Flickering Grass and Game-Data Access Issues
TJADER replied to Tenlethar's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Hm, I just noticed something intresting that happens when I reinstall the game. When I first start up Oblivion it says "Oblivion will now check your computer to set the quality" or something like that and when I press ok it sets the graphics to the lowest possible with lowest resolution, and unchecks lot of modes like water reflection, self shadow, shadow on grass, water ripples and so on. Maybe it forces the shaders in this way and then makes it impossible to change it. I don't know really, I hope someone understands what I mean. Also found something that might be related on the : http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Tweaking "Texture Shimmering Nvidia Graphics Cards On Nvidia cards shimmering is most noticeable when anisotropic filtering is enabled and Image Quality is set to Performance, High Performance, or Quality mode. Textures appear to shimmer and "crawl" as you move about the game world. This is fixed by clamping Negative LOD Bias while playing Oblivion, "High Quality" mode enables negative LOD clamping by default. " Although when I start up oblivion, there is no "HighQuality" setting I can select! Not in the options or in the game itselfs video configurations. -
Flickering Grass and Game-Data Access Issues
TJADER replied to Tenlethar's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Thanks Hickory! I wish i could still try that - for the sake of a little hope - but i found the same post and i tried those settings. But nothing :/ Shoot! I'm out of ideas. Hopefully, somebody who's come across this before and knows the answer will see your post. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. You did what you could, man. Thank you! And there is some development here - i hung out in the chatroom today and spoke to a few guys there. One of them said that my problem is probably related to faulty/conflicting/wrong data that is stored in my savegame (!!) and that is a pretty interesting point if it is true. Because the savegames were one variable which during all my testing never actually changed. The savegames were always the same. I thought that as long as i did not load any mods into vanilla Oblivion when testing, and as long as i don't spice up the install, nothing could be wrong with using those savegames. So tonight i'll run a few short tests and see if the savegame is the issue. I'd be relieved if so - yeah, i'd have to play over or fix this, but that also means i'd finally be able to play at all :) Lets see! I have tried the saved games, and made new games from start - but I still got the grass and self shadow bug. Gah, this is the most irritating bug I have ever encountered. -
Flickering Grass and Game-Data Access Issues
TJADER replied to Tenlethar's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Oh this is the exact same problem I have and I have the same gfx card as you do, Hickory. I have been trying for a long time to get this fixed but without success. I hope you'll fix it. -
Hey Hickory, thanks for the link. I did a complete clean reinstall, following that guide completely - but I still have the exact same problems I had before reinstalling. This is even without OMOD or any mods, just the original game plus shivering isles and the official DLCs. I cannot tell you how frustrated I am about this. The problems started with the Unofficial Oblivion Patch, which caused the first problem with the self-shadowing and then I think All Natural caused the grass shading to go haywire. I am at my limits, I have absolutely no idea what to do about this. I hoped to play Oblivion, but it might be so that I won't be able to because of all the bugs I have gotten... Although one really strange thing happened, after I reinstalled and took away everything oblivion related - I did find in the start of a new game that the Iron suit still had a mod on it. I did uninstall OBMM and all related files and even took away registry keys, so this is super odd.

About the Argonians breasts, as a biologist I have been thinking about this. The Argonians really do remind me of the first mammals that evolved - aka "proto-mammals" or "stem-mammals". Check out the Synapsides, and the undergroups of it to find out more. I just like to see things from an evolutionary point of view, and I think this is the most "realistic" view of the Argonians - that they're early mammals and not reptiles at all. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synapsid

Hey guys, sorry for replying so late since you posted, been quite busy so I havent had time to try and fix it. Although I did download FormID Finder, but it stated that the torches were missing from oblivion main and not a mod, torches fixed now because of uninstall. I have tried to uninstall mods to see which was causing the grass flickering and nothing happened. I got really tired of it all and decided to reinstall Oblivion. So when I had finaly installed it again plus shivering isles and KOTN + DLCs, the grass flickering was still there. I cannot tell you how exhausted over this I felt then. I had no problems with the grass flickering before, so how in hell did it suddenly appear and wont go away even if reinstalling?! It is driving me nuts to say the least, I shouldnt have to turn of shadows on grass to get rid of this, there must be another way. Edit: I found someone who have had a similair problem, but with windows. Although I don't understand what he should do to fix it or if it gets fixed. I do have a Radeon card though. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/28157-grass-poppin-in-and-outwindows-flickering/ Although I did do some small tweaks in the Oblivion.ini before, but I had absolutely no problems with it. But I deleted it when I reinstalled, so it shouldnt affect the reinstall. :( Another problem I had that came forth the same time I got the grass flickering was some flickering on the clothes where you can see through the model and thereby seeing the sky/world behind it, most notecible on the robes. Also really annoying that it didn't go away with the reinstall. Here's my current Oblivion.ini :

Yep, I made sure to run BOSS before rebuilding the patch, and used "update masterfile" too - I'm using Wrye Bash v.290 so it's integrated and runs automaticly from there. I downloaded the "Pictorial Guide" for noobs aswell, just to make sure I did each step correct. I am really gratefull that you're helping me out, Hickory. :)

Thanks a lot for the help Hickory, I got All Natural installed and running now (I think I do atleast) and almost all mods seems to be working. I got some missing meshes here and there though. In Skingrad I noticed that the lanterns outside in the streets were missing (the ones that light up during night, now it was just a flame high up in the air) and in Rosethorn Halll There were pretty many missing meshes. Maybe it was something I did when I built the patch that I missed, but I checked everything you told me to. The grass problem I initially had still exists though, but it is only showing on the default type of grass, not the grass with flowers on it. I'll attatch a screenshot of the disco grass - but the flickering is impossible to show without a gif though, but this is the only grass I have problem with. I have the enhanced grass mod aswell, but it didn't conflict before. It only started when I installed Enhanced Weather before (now replaced). I hope you or someone else could help me with this. Thank you very much. I am not sure I installed All Natural correct though, since Oblivion looks kinda dull still.

Thanks a lot! I finally got Wrye Bash installed, never thought that would happen. Ok I think I have understood everything so far, but how should I create a Bashed patch? And with which components should I create it?
-
Thanks a lot for letting me know what I needed to fix this Hickory. I got myself all the tools to install Wrye Bash before (Wrye_Bash_275_-_Self_Installer and Wrye_Python_03a), I tried to install Wrye Bash some time ago but the installer readme lead to to an advertisement site, a site called http://err.000webhost.com/, and because of that I gave up on Bash because I couldn't find out how to install it for the first time. Your link also leads to the same advertisement site, for me atl east. :/ And everywhere I look everyone refers to the read me which is this exact link. So if someone please have the time to let me know how to proceed I would very much appriciate it.

Yes I decided to turn it off, and you're right - it looked like crap anyways so hopefully no harm done. :P Although now I have gotten another weird shadow glitch after installing some other mods - I got it after installing the "EnhancedWeather" and "EnhancedWeather" I think. This problem I have is "flickering grass" when shadows are cast on the grass, and it only dissapears when I unckeck "cast shadows on grass" - which I really don't want to have unchecked because gameplay would really deteriorate. I read around and someone had similair problems but on hair and it was caused by meshes conflicting. I am realy unsure on how to proceed.
