  1. I've got this idea for a mod but I need a certain script and I'm not too experienced with scripting. All I can do is add messages. What I want done is when the PC activates a door, it won't let him through unless he/she is a certain rank in a certain faction. If they're not that rank it will bring up a message saying something about not being worthy. This is probably not too hard for you scripters out there but for me, I'm not really too sure how to do it. Thanks!
  2. I had this problem too when I got the game. I resolved it by finding a patch for my country. I was previously installing one for the US whereas I had to install one for the UK. Depending on the country you are in, google it i.e. "oblivion patch 1.2 (the country you are in/the country you bought the game from)"
  3. Well I was doing that plenty of times, yesterday but for some reason every mod I tried wouldn't download. Usually it's only one mod every so often that comes up with that error and it can be fixed by trying to download again. But this time it's different.
  4. Me and another modder are working on a cool new idea over at darkcreations.org. It's called Nord Blood and we aim to make a new village in Northern Cyrodiil, with it's own mystery. We are making a (hopefully) detailed questline to discover who the culprit is of a string of murders. The quest will take you deep into this village (although from the outside it doesn't look too big) and you'll get to know some interesting people along the way. We are looking for people to help with quests...and just quests for now.   7. Yup. But there won't be any voice acting right? I doubt that there will be any because this is a nice and simple mod. :thumbsup: Well if we do want to I've got an ok mic but we probably won't, I'll add a mod to it that slows down the speaking time when there's no sound added. Now I will go and make our own thread for this mod.   9. I like 'Nord Blood', if we came up with a name for the village then we could maybe use that in the mods name. Here are my suggestions for the village.......I dunno :(
  10. We should probably just start simple with a lone assassin. We've also got to decide on a name for the village and the actual mod.
  11. Unpredictable assassinations? I like that idea. As you said, by complex do you mean complex story or complex scripting? Maybe the assassin could be part of a group to eliminate/join. It could be a rival to the DB, but it might be lore-breaking(if we were to make this lore-friendly) It doesn't even have to be to do with the DB. Could just be a murder. It would probably be more interesting if the player had to track down the killer and....well...kill him, rather than joining him but who knows.
  12. Yeah, like I don't know what should be the setting but I like snowy areas and forests so we could have the village near Chorrol/Bruma or any city. It could be involved with Daedra worship or anything else to do with "gods" But what's your opinion? Yeah I like it, I was thinking...
  13. Ye ok let's come up with a simple idea on this thread, make a new thread and expand from there. I was thinking a new village with, a quest, not too complex but maybe a mystery that the player has to solve?
  14. Man, that's perfect, I haven't got much time either. So we should come up with an idea. Anywhere we can message each other quickly? Skype, a forum? We should make a new village with an awesome quest! :D
  15. In the CS is it possible to make an NPC sell a key? If so, what box should be checked in the AI?
  16. I've always preferred making mods in a team, so if anyone wants to help me make mods they can. I'm talking just one or two people for average sized mods. You just need to know how to use the CS and we'll work from there. I'm looking to make mainly areas like villages and towns but I'd be open to make basically anything :D

  18. I've been searching for a save file before the final quest for a while and I cant find one. You see i've played through the main quest a bunch of times on the Xbox and now that I've got it on PC and i've got Broken Steel I just want a game where I can start Broken Steel instantly. And I'll use the console to edit the character. Has anyone got a link to a save like this? Or can you email it to me or something?

There are many ambitious projects started up to remake Morrowind or Oblivion, usually by people who haven't ever modded substantially in the game of their choice, before--because if they had, they would have realized just what a Herculean task they were taking on. Which isn't to say it can't be done! It has been, a very few times, and it took several years, many modders, as well as leaders who were themselves very accomplished modders. Sorry guys hadn't looked at this in a while...anyways we've been wroking on this for a while and the guys i'm working with are excellent modders one of them is a brilliant World Artist and the other is an amazing texturer. Last November over on Planet Elder Scrolls Forums a young Morrowind modder called Chascoda announced that he wanted to start creation of a new mod that we ended up calling "Commonwind" it is based 500 years after the time of Morrowind and the idea of it was that the whole land of Vvardenfell was corrupted by Necromancy and Vivec was gone here is the post that Chascoda made I got bored of Morrowind... I don't like Oblivion either, and I want to keep up with the Construction Set, so i looked around at a few Total Conversion mods. None of them were my style(Magical, mystical enchantments hidden in strange ruins, and Breton people lol) So I decided to try and make my own. It's pretty easy, as I just noticed, especially with a blank .esp. So, I decided on the plot. It's 500 years in the future. Nerevar is dead, and the legends of Dagoth Ur, Vivec, Almalexia, and Sotha Sil are gone. Fargoth is dead, and left his enchanted ring in the possession of a mysterious Breton enchanter, Kithackor. Although not a Dunmer, he still keeps his enchanted items collected in his tomb. He hated Necromancy, Vampirism, and Lycanthropy, and searched forever for a cure to the diseases. This was his downfall. After Nerevarine died, Morrowind fell to chaos. Necromancy ruled it, and undead servants were lead throughout towns, wreaking havoc throughout their path. You are born as a commoner, and put to jail in Cyrodiil - the same cell as St. Nerevar was held in. You are sent to Seyda Neen, which is now less populated and is absolutely full of the ruins of previous homeowners. Eldafire passed away a few years earlier, and her young daughter, Morronia, now roams the place. Fargoth, also, has deceased, and as mentioned earlier, gave his ring away to Kithackor to keep it safe from those "nasty guards who terrorized him". You are limited to a few "poor person" classes - Pickpocket, Pauper, Snakecharmer, Commoner, Brawler, and Shaman(Not the kind you think.. You're an old, raggedy Shaman living in the swamps). The races have changed a lot, and although they look the same, are a bit more powerful. Most regular, mundane creatures are replaced with Undead. Azura no longer bothers you, but Sheogorath, who somehow got stuck as Jyggalag, wants everything back to order. Necromancy is now practiced in the place of Destruction, and is a major skill, although the ghost of Kithackor will kill you if you try to talk to him if you have a high skill of Necromancy. Tortured vampires can be found within the tombs, surrounded by magical bubbles, as to not have them be put out of their misery. Wanna help make it a reality? Reply to this post. As time went on we gained members of our mdding team we called The ZOMG Team, but as time went on further we lost those members and we are left with just Chascoda, Retro51 and myself so we decided to stop the creation of this huge mod and start on a new smaller mod. We haven't decided on a name for this but we are starting with an Island that replaces Seyda Neen and we are going to expand from there.
