  1. Just found something, haven't tried Skyrim yet but a solution for the blinking lights and possibly solution for everything. It appears MotioninJoy is a dumb piece of software and was conflicting with pretty much everything. I can only assume that you had this program before as I also had the blinking lights. Here is the solution: Plug in your controller and allow it to download drivers and whatnot. When that is complete go to your device manager and find this: http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr252/Cyberslas101/nunya/controllerhelp.png Edit: it may actually say MotioninJoy Virtual Xinput device of Windows rather than Xbox 360 Controllers for Windows. This screenshot came from after I fixed the problem. Just to make sure it gets done right, right click on Xbox 360 Controllers for Windows and select properties. Go to the driver tab and select uninstall. Now, this next step is VERY important and VERY simple, and I feel dumb once again for not being observant. When a dialog pops up you should see something like this: http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr252/Cyberslas101/nunya/delete_driver.png Make sure you tick the highlighted check box! After this, unplug and replug it in. Let it search for it's drivers and voila! The flashing lights problem is solved! If the problem persists make sure you have uninstalled the MotioninJoy program as well. I know it caused me nothing but pain, and believe me when I say you don't need it. Now, I think I'll go test Skyrim. I'll get back to this thread as soon as I can confirm that I'm problem free or not with or without vibration enabled. Once again, I wish you (and myself) luck! Edit2: Success! Skyrim now has no problems whatsoever running even with vibration enabled. I have successfully found the solution to my problem, and I can only hope your problem was the same as mine and that you can be as successful. I know I've said it so many times already, but I'll say it again: Good luck!
  2. I'm also interested in this because the same exact thing happens to me. Another interesting thing I have found: If you do ctrl-alt-del then shutdown Skyrim through the task manager it creates a "ghost" Skyrim that runs in the background and cannot be stopped unless you shutdown your computer. Even more interesting is that after doing this, you can boot up Skyrim again and play with the controller with zero problems. I've yet to find the solution, but I'm looking. I wish you (and myself) luck! Edit: I feel so dumb for not trying before, but after disabling vibration in the menu the freezing issue seems to have disappeared. I suggest you try the same. I just barely tried this (as of 2 minutes ago), so it isn't confirmed and will test some more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
