  1. Thanks for the replies. I will try using 4K for armor and weapons where possible as well as statues and 2K for the environment. All things considered, rendering walls, land, mountains and everything else inbetween in 4K alongside a heavily modded game might not be the best choice after all for a marginal visual improvement.
  2. Hello, I am in the process of modding Skyrim for the umpteenth time since its release back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Of course, 4K textures have been around for some time and I am wondering if it is wise to use them. I don't want to brag about my computer but it is almost a year old and I am using a GeForce GTX 1080 in a gaming laptop. I am worried that running 4K textures alongside an ENB will have dire consequences and cause the fans to rev up and drown out any other noise. Thanks.
  3. Hi there! I have a fresh install of Skyrim complete with the High Resolution Texture Pack and I am looking for some mods (weather, lighting, water, ENB, etc) that will, let's say. place nicely with Tamriel Reloaded HD. Thank you!
  4. But the RendererIno always returns to the same one with the Intel HD 4500 information despite the launching detecting the nVidia card.
  5. Hi everyone! I've exhausted my efforts to try to fix this through endless Google searching and downloading this and that but to no avail. I have an Alienware 17 with an onboard Intel HD 4600 and a dedicated nVidia GeForce GTX 800M. Steam recognizes the nVidia card as well as the Skyrim launcher but Skyrim fails to write the information into the SkyrimPrefs.INI nor process the correct RendererIno within the Skyrim documents. Has anyone had any luck fixing this or know how?
  6. I've found a quick fix but I'm not sure if it's recommended since some mods use it (such as Dynavision) but setting bDoDepthOfField to 0 within Skyrimprefs.ini seemed to make the water crystal clear.
  7. Hi everyone! I created a topic over at the STEP forums concerning the above problem I am having and decided to post here too in hopes of a quick fix. Here is a link to the thread I created over at the STEP forums for reference. Basically, the water turns to a murky brown colour when partly submerged or underwater completely, I have tried with and without an END preset but the problem persists. Please help!
  8. Hi guys! I'm having difficulty trying to install SKSE with Nexus Mod Manager. I know how to install manually but I want to install everything with NMM for ease of use. I've created a zip file but only the Data folder is installed properly and I can't figure out how to install the exe and dll files through NMM. Could anyone provide a short tutorial or link to one, please?
  9. Hey! So, I've installed a bunch of mods without too many problems. I can play the game without any errors but the one big glitch I do see is the lack of a crosshair (been replaced by a transparent square) and I can't see any options for opening doors, searching containers or whatever. Although I can still interact with them by pressing E, I just can't see the options for doing so on-screen. Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it! It seems you need to use the DarN HUD base to use the Skyrim compass provided with the mod. Also, apologies for creating two threads. I accidentally started the first one in the wrong forum.
