Hello, Background I have been playing Skyrim for a few years, but am completely new to modding. So far, I have Skyrim itself, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn (but not the High-res Textures). I would like to try to mod my game, initially for environmental gameplay (like Wet&Cold) and some nicer graphics (especially flora/landscapes). But I would like to try some lore-friendly quest mods too. Having spent a few months hunting around on the web, I finally decided on Nexus (as opposed to Steam Workshop or other modding sites) and I am currently following the Modding Beginner's Guide for my first attempt. Problem I have followed Modding Beginner's Guide to Section (= "7. Install Nexus Mods"), but now the left side of my MO (Skyrim Mod Organiser) looks like this: Unmanaged:Bashed Patch,0 Unmanaged:Hearthfires Unmanaged:Dragonborn Unmanaged:Dawnguard [ ] SKSE [ ] SKSE ini [ ] Unofficial Skyrim Patch [ ] Unofficial Dawnguard Patch [ ] Unofficial Hearthfire Patch [ ] Unofficial Dragonborn Patch [ ] Bashed Patch But the instructions state that it should look like this: SKSE SKSE ini Unofficial Skyrim Patch Dawnguard Unofficial Dawnguard Patch HearthFires Unofficial Hearthfire Patch Dragonborn Unofficial Dragonborn Patch HighResTexturePack01 HighResTexturePack02 HighResTexturePack03 Unofficial High Resolution Patch I am now worried that I've done something wrong and I do not want to proceed until I have checked. Having registered and read the forums, I have also found the (similarly named) Beginner's Guide to Modding. This looks a bit too complicated for me, but I have read it through looking for hints as to what I've done wrong. In there, it states that WRYE should say: However, mine says: [ Y ] Skyrim.esm [ Y ] Update.esm [ Y ] Dawnguard.esm [ Y ] Hearthfires.esm [ Y ] Dragonborn.esm [ -- ] Bashed Patch, 0.esm My modding tool versions are: Mod Organiser 1.3.7 LOOT Version 0.7.0 (build 49e5eb55) Wrye Smash 305 (Standalone) TES5Edit 3.1.1 EXPERIMENTAL SKSE 1.07.02 SKSE.ini-56894-1-0 ENBseries_skyrim_v0272 Questions 1. Is my current "game state" (as reported in MO) a problem? 2. If so, can I recover from here? And, if so, how? 3. If not, then I will try again with a completely fresh build. In this case, could someone please point me to the best instruction set to use for modding from scratch? (Please bear in mind that I am new to this!) All help/assistance would be most appreciated. Many thanks in advance. ÞiaurikR
