Try this out:
But I understand, I too wouldnt mind seeing a mod like that too. Either that or a "Dungeon Poses 2" with more poses.

I think the safest thing to do is to stick to strictly constructive criticism. Don't be afraid to let mod authors know if their mods need bug fixes and such. But also keep in mind the fact that modders provide their mods as a priviledge to the modding community, not as a right. I know of plenty of authors who have taken their work elsewere because of snoody critics who 1) Can't mod and 2) Think they have some right to tell the author where there mod persay "belongs". I don't necessarily know that something like that would get you banned, but it is nevertheless an excellent rule of thumb to remember. Just remember to not use vulgar or offensive language and dont flame or spam. Just keep it clean and you will be fine. Make sure that it pertains to area of the forums that it is in. Finally, if you embed links or photos, make sure the picture is clean or the link is really what it claims to be.
Best rule of thumb I can give you: Use common sense. God gave it to us all for a reason.

This really is a rather simple topic that I wanted to start, but I wanted to know which beast mods you as a community use in oblivion. I know there are plenty of race mods that add demons or elves but how many can say that they add good new beasts? Here are a few that I really enjoy that I use or know of:
Slof's Playable Xivilai (this race is really only half beast, just depends on your opinion)
I certainly know that this list is by no means complete and that is where you come in at! Post any kind of suggestion or improvement to what should be included in the beast race mod list. I personally want to find more good beast race mods myself, which was partial motivation for posting this topic. However, I want to know what you have discovered that I don't have on here! Don't be afraid to leave feedback!

player.setav (attribute) (value)- this sets your various skills to certain values, uses addition concept so that whatever number you put in is added to whatever number you get when you leave doc's house. also for this one, dont use the parentheses. here's an example for raising guns:
player.setav guns 20
if my initial guns was 20, my new guns skill would be 40
the other one that would apply would be player.additem (id) (quantity)
the easiest way to find an object's id is to go to this website. It has everything from power armor to bobby pins.
Here is an example of how to get 20 anti-material rifles:
player.additem 0008f21c 20
btw, the id for caps is just the letter f. "player.additem f 2000" (without quotations) would give you 2000 caps

Not without the use of console commands, which would mean that if you are using the steam version of the game, achivements can not be "achieved" until you save the game and restart steam. There are mods for play after the main quest has concluded but so far as I know, you can not.
Plus, where is the fun if you start in Goodsprings with an Anti-Material Rifle? :) just saying

After a little bit of digging, this mod is probably the absolute best solution. And the best part is that it does not even require AMB. Technically this body variant applies only to the character but for me, thats really not an issue at all.

Im not sure if I was the only one who noticed this, as it had to do solely with listening and not seeing: in the ign version of the video on youtube, from about 1:10 to 1:30 they use MORROWIND music. Of course it has been revamped to fit into Skyrim but I personally thought that was pretty neat. If you listen closely, morrowing players (like myself) can probably notice it! Sorry if im stating the obvious...

What i did for now (which works without the esp) is replace the upperbody and lowerbody meshes in the _male folder. As this does change the xivaili build, it also changes every other characters build, which is not just a huge problem although i would really like if i could do bodies by race (impossible yes but hey). I'm still unsure though as of now if i can just change only the xivaili build as it is an addon race and has its own folder extensions within the data folder. I also use the xivali rebalanced mod that makes them a bit shorter and changes some other stats. I am wondering if i would have to change the mesh files within that to get the desired results...
-
For some reason i was thinking i would need the texture but yea i would only need the mesh... Do i need to activate the esp file as well? And the meshes would just go in the asxivaili folder in the meshes correct? (so that no every race is built lol)

Could someone merge or create a mod for compatitability between slof's playable xaviali and room207's bodybuilder body? I want my xaviali to be massive but as far as i know, the two are not compatitable. If they are compatitable already, could someone tell me how to get it installed so that my xaviali takes on the bodybuilder body? Thanks!!
Here are the links to the two mods if anyone needs them

I am looking for the body mesh/texture pictured below used for the buIky fellow on the left. have looked everywhere I know to and can't find it.

And here is another if it helps at all.

Well the only problem with all that is that I dont use nifscope or blender or any of that stuff so that's all kinda out of the question. However, if you don't mind answering this, how do you make breezes a fomod? I would use it except the instructions given in the readme is for an earlier version of FOMM and assumes the reader knows how to make the file into a fomod. I am a manual installer so if you dont mind giving me some help on that, that would be great.
-
Also, I would be willing to switch to Breezes if I knew how to do fomod... the instructions on the download page are for a previous version and I usually do all my installations manually instead
-
Work isn't an issue as long as it doesn't jeopardize the game (which i dont know why it would). Whatever you think is the best way is good for me, just let me know and I'll see what i can do about it.

I am using Robert's male body and I am having issues with the textures looking funky whenever I wear certain types of armor. The body texture looks fine without armor or clothing on but with some armor and clothing, most notably slof's boners and a re-mesh of the merc grunt outfit from fallout 3. These are the only ones I have noticed so far. I AM using archive invalidation and fomm (although i install manually, fomm only confuses me). Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this issue?
-
Have you used archive invalidation?

Hey here is an idea, if it is possible- if you are going with the creepy sort of theme, why don’t you have basic enemy resistance up to the heart of the vault, but once the player reaches the heart and maybe reward? of the vault you have some sort of trigger that sends out the worst of the worst. Maybe some light play and suddenly the appearance of some intimidating massive creature directly behind the player… could be promising but it all depends on the route you want to take!

Is this mod a clothing replacer?
-
Does anyone know of any mods that add (not replace) clothing/armor that just covers a partial amount of the body? For instance, pants without a shirt, ect. Basically not a one piece! Anyone know of anything similar?
-
I put the packed and unpacked versions in temporary locations, where do I go from there?
-
are you talking about the unpacked file? and how do i changed the extension?
-
I apologize in advance if I sound like a total idiot for asking something like this, but I usually do manual installs and the mod im trying to install only offers install instructions for FOMM (which, are very vague). The mod im trying to install is Breezes male body replacer. Here are the instructions given.
Then to install this mod:
1. Make sure that you have FOMM installed (<http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901>).
2. Run FOMM.
3. Open the Package Manager.
4. Click Add new.
5. Select the Breezes_New_Vegas_Males_v1-35451.7z file.
6. Click Activate to install the mod. You will be given options on the default mesh to use, the default texture to use, as well as whether you want to use the new armour as well. If you have SickleYield/Roberts male body replacer installed an want to use the mesh you selected there as the default mesh, then choose the Default Mesh as Do not install.
7. Close the Package Manager.
8. You need to let FONV know about the changes to meshes and textures. To do this, you have to Toggle Invalidation this can be found in the Tools menu of FOMM. If it was already on, switch it off, then on again (if you see magenta skin textures in game, this is the cause, in which case, toggle invalidation off then on again).
My problem lies within the 4/5 area. The only button that i can find that is even vaguely similar to "add new" is the "create from folder" which leads to the dropdown menu. Also, I cant find the file that is named in the fifth step (i extracted the file from win rar to a temp location). Can anyone help me get this figured out?

ok i decided on breezes, but it mentions an "armour fix." however, the link posted does not work. Can anyone maybe give me a link to that armour fix (assuming I absolutely need it). If i dont need it then its ok. if anyone can that would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know of the mod or console command that allows you to do this to your character or an NPC?
http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/4/43/LachanceCorpse.jpg
The picture is from in game, but I have seen a picture that is non vanilla that illustrates the same "pose" so I definently exists. Does anyone know what it is?
