  1. Yes, it's quite easy to import a face from a save file into a mod.

Using Wrye Bash, go to the mods tab. Right click on your mod's esp and select Import > Face. Then select the save file of the player character's face you want to import.

Your mod will then have an NPC with that face that you can edit and place in the game world as you see fit. :)

Sorry I was away from any internet for a bit, but thank you for telling me this! I think another user explained it too, but their response wasn't exactly as easily understandable as your response was.

Yes, I believe that was me. However, as I said, wyre bash has stopped working for me, so it was physically impossible for me to provide a better description than the one I provided. Apologies.

  2. I believe so, though admittedly I never downloaded the original-original, just the HGEC conversion. But I don't see why it wouldn't.

As kingtitan said, if you don't like the glossiness, its trivially easy to adjust for yourself in NIFSkope.

Here is a quick "tutorial" for editing gloss in nifskope:

The Yellow box contains the path for the submesh that you want to edit the gloss on. To get to whatever portion of the mesh you would like to edit the gloss on, click on it in the render window (I put the orange arrow there to show that I clicked on the body submesh).

Once you click on the "NimaterialProperty" (follow the green arrow), go down and find the "glossiness" property (red box). The higher the value, the more gloss the sub-mesh will have.

Hope that makes it a bit less trivial for newbies.

  3. Sorry if this is a silly question but are both the outfit I linked and your conversion using the same textures? The one looks a bit more shiny, but I don't know much about texture vs mesh yet to really understand the effects.

They still use the same texture. Gloss is determined by one of two things:

Glossiness setting in nifskope. This has the least effect of the two.

The texture's normal map alpha channel. Editing this has the greatest effect of whether a texture is shiny or not.

  4. Well the good news is that it is possible, I have done it before.

Unfortunately tho, the bad news is that wyre (for some reason or another) has decided to stop working for me and I can't for the life of me remember how to do it. It has something to do with right clicking on a save game and importing? the face to a custom .esp that wyre creates (you can move the npc easily to another plugin though). Sorry for the basic nature of the post, but that's all I can remember.

  5. Well, like I said, I have no idea when it will be made available for public download, but I'm certainly going to be one that tries it out! I like the concept for it that he did with it. And I agree, much less goofy looking than vanilla.
  6. I suggest you go ahead and find a body replacer you like. The bodies look MUCH better with a replacer and you don't at all have to make them nude. Plus, because of the selection, it is easy to find a body that is similar in shape to the default body as well. If you need any help, please let us know.
  7. About Kylin... GUYS. That thing is a direct rip from Lineage2. Please remove the link >.< there's reason why I only HINTED at a way to find it.

So it is basically pirated content from Lineage 2? Yes, good thing to remove the link undoubtedly.

  8. This will depend on what you want to do with it, but it is a very simple process, so no worries :)

Anyway, are you wanting to add this mesh to an existing .esp or are you wanting to make a brand new mod file?

This will help me tailor my help to your specific needs.

EDIT: Actually, assuming you know what an "active file" is in the cs, I'll just go ahead and explain how to do this:

    1) Load up the CS. If you are adding the house to an existing mod file, make it active and then load up Oblivion.esm

    2) Once the file(s) load, find the "static" section in the cs

    3) Click on static and a list of vanilla static items should load up.

    4) Right click on the list (anywhere is fine) and click "new"

    5) From here it will ask you for a name for your mesh, its id, where the mesh can be found in the oblivion/data/meshes folder.

    6) Finish these, hit ok, and viola, you have added the house into the cs. Make sure to save!

  9. Hopefully I can successfully explain this:

    Two points to start:

    1) Body mods are "global." That is to say, the female body you install will show up on all "unclothed" females, the same is true for males.

    2) Facial textures go by race. For instance, an imperial won't use the same facial texture as a dark elf.

As far as custom clothing or armor, these are models within themselves. For instance a piece of armor modeled to a different body than the one that you have installed will reflect the other body model. Armor doesn't "mesh" to the specific body type you have installed, it is already modeled to a specific body type and tailored for it.

  10. As I said before, I only got that message after turning off the useless mod, I belive it was better enchantments, it didnt do anything on my saves anyway, and it was not the cause of the crash.

Ive been getting the crashes before and after turning off better enchantments, and only on my main character too, on an alternate or new character it doesnt happen.

(And before I turned off better enchantments, that message never showed up.)

Well obviously friend. The whole reason I was asking in the first place is that sometimes when saves are made they require certain information to be present. Since it sounds like Better Enchantments wasn't the issue (due to the lack of frequency change of crashes), how about you put up your load order? Keep in mind, the more information you can provide us with, the faster we can solve your problem. So far, you haven't provided us with much background info to help us assist you.

  11. I saw a mod once for an additional servant for the other house in Chorral, and I think, in Anvil, (the haunted house you can buy). I have both of those houses updated completely in game, but no servants. The one in Rosethorn is pretty good, but I wish she had more options.

Can't find the mod now. I know it's there somewhere.

If you can't find it, i think it would be pretty easy to make from scratch, but don't quote me on that. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

If I made a copy of Enya in the game would she have the same script? (would she want to return to the house in Skingrad, instead of the house she was created in?)

It looks like Naktis has found what you are looking for. However, just for reference, you would only have to edit the AI a bit, but you could completely change her schedule to operate in the other cities too.
