  1. Where's the rain? Is it behind that crappy game? :P haha, I really wish you could "like" or "thumbs up" comments on here! But honestly, how far the gaming community is with the technology, I'm kinda surprised how crappy Bethesda's animations are. The character jumping and swimming animation is still bizarre, and snow and rain still go through walls and buildings. You's think with how popular they are, they would have the experience and money to easily fix these things. I mean, even the modding community has done better work then Bethesda with these things. Just remember that the game's construction set is what the devs are limited too outside of the hardcoding. So making the game NONE graphic intensive is hard (All the TONS of hidded object faces, mixed layer lighting, mixed partial object lighting, can even at times strain my monster comp)
  2. If possible, would be cool in place of The purple Glow effect of Detect Life, and would be neat to have it as a constant effect for werewolves, and as a castable for vampires.
  3. I'd only really like to see this if Pack Guars, Pack Horses, Pack Mules, Pack Cows, Following Carriages, etc get modded in as well. I can see two such mods going together very well in adding immersion, since atm I just cheat my weight up to 48000 because unlike morrowind, there are no pack guars D: Love the idea though in general and wonder if that is possible. Would probably work like "PlayerBurden >= 15% CarryWeightMax, AddItem.Player Backpack15, ForceEquip.Player Backpack 15
  4. Where's the rain? Is it behind that crappy game? :P But yes, something like that would be neat, and if bethesda has a global weather tracking script, it should be easy enough to get (Still) water droplets on screen, or maybe an animated texture.
  5. Well please try, If it helps, I would love you forever? :D I am sure if you got something like this done, showing it to bethesda could just very well get you a hire spot. Look at people like Wormgod :P Pretty much just a forum goer that got hired.
  6. Actually, I am speaking both from realism AND fun. This is one of those ideas that SOUND fun at first (Having the full blocking of the front helm's design) but in practice will be a claustraphobic mess after the first hour that strains eyes. The idea of making the corners and noseguards the main reflections of the helmet being worn opens up your vision more, causes less eye strain, and gets less annoying far less quick. How do I know? I helped with this same kind of mod back in Mount & Blade, and the full screen design lead to my aforementioned problems, so we ended up clearing it up on the edges some as I just mentioned which helped A LOT well I said I am bad at those things, you say you have experience so make theme, me doing these stuff will be a waste of time, not only the fact that it will get ugly but also the fact that I dont know how to apply these on the game I'm no scripter myself, and haven't played M&B in over a year. You works were damn good, do not put yourself down.
  7. For point 2. That is already in the works, but it will take a long time to be finished. I'm not sure on the name but others on the forum would know. Google it a bit, it's the same stuff as that mod in Fallout3 supposedly (I never played Fallout3). RTS Mod (Real Time Settlers) mod. Was amazing but crude in Fallout 3, improved in new vegas, looking amazing so far in Skyrim.
  8. Excellent, though would it be possible to make random generated pirates that intercept your auto pilot route? (Excuse could be you hire out a pilot) so you could be transporting massive crates of Dwemer Ingots bound for Windhelm, when suddenly a group of pirates intercepts you, forces you to stop, a scripted plank drops, and fodder troops begin to cross and attack you, while looters try to run straight to your crates to steal goods, and then run back (If they get enough or start losing enough without their pilot being killed they can try to lift plank and flee with their gains/lives. You too in turn as a pirate could use a spell to sound a retreat?) Sorry, just running with ideas here.

  10. Love that scene! And as for Samurai, you are speaking of an eastern culture whose weapon loadouts were designed for cloth to leather armored opponents (As Japan suffered from a lot of cultural stagnation, as well as benefitted from it) So the Katana was purely designed for rending flesh and bone (Though it had it's limits, going across the chest or from head to groin, the amount of bone, meat, and sinew would drastically slow the blade before it could complete its journey). You will also note that against European Steel armor, the katana had a high chance of breaking due to it's thin design. TL;DR Katana was made for cutting people up, every other cultural weapon was made to go through thick forms of armor since Europeans were to War what the Spanish were to MultiCulture Humping
  11. I didnt said those are going to be in the final version, I am not even sure there will be a final version. you guys just asked me to create drawing of how it suppose to be and I did it. its only a test so don't expect a lot from it. and thanks for noticing those things, didnt thought about that the noseguard is suppose to be more thin. Basically, just make the design with your hands, or a paper cutout, and hold it to your face to get an idea of what I mean. You'll notice that the slit visor will not normally be visible on the sides or top, and only really visible at the corners. Paper cut outs work wonders for envisioning. Good work none the less
  12. The only issue I have ever had with mods like this is... in RL you lose something when putting on a helmet that you NEVER have in video games even when bald and bare headed, Peripheal Vision Edit: Just thought of something to balance this out. Thought of exapnding those visor images so that there is no black edging all around, but the main telling details (Like the Visor slit) are skirting the edges partially to give the FEEL of the helmet, without the annoying claustrophobia? As well as have noseguards be a thin, blurred line in the center of your vision? (Like when you hold your finger between your eyes, it becomes a thin, blurry slit)
  13. You know.. some randomly generated levity would make those pointless bandit camp raids more fun!
  14. i could argue that even when the heart is no longer pumping the blood, the average blood pressure (around 2.4psi, not taking into account the stress caused by the execution) would make blood to shoot in all directions like a garden sprinkler...have you seen a real beheading? no, not a chicken or a pork, but a human being.. probably not. but i'm not going to post a video here anyway..all i can say is yes, we need moar blood! 2.4 psi is nothing, youd maybe get a "Blub" as some blood is pushed out, but no real arcs of blood. and Yes, I have seen several beheading videos. From a Russian soldier having his head sawn off (Alive) by the bayonet of a Chechian rebel, to a senator blowing his brains out on live TV (Such videos exist sadly) The fact is, I've been through this enough on the old Mount & Blade beta forums already. To be blunt, humans are not squishy balloons of blood We still have A LOT of strength and elasticity to our flesh, organ walls, and ligaments/tendons/veins that cover our bodies. Heck, if you want to argue realism that much, the decapation move were you bash someone in the face with a great axe to make them bend over to the side, then lop off their head is a load of bularky due to the give of the unsupported body would make the body be pushed down only half way through the cut. At most you would get a partial decapation. TL;DR Human body is stronger then people think. Blood does not pump if the heart stops, only flows somewhat. Reality is never as near or cool as the movies or games.
  15. The lack of third person camera controls on movement ticked me off too. It's like bethesda loves to improve on morrowind, but then take away from what made it great as they do. And it makes machinima MUCH harder
