Yeah, I'm the same way. Someone thought it'd be a good idea to "misplace" my SNES though. Probably the same certain someone that kept calling it trash. Whatever... I've still got my N64, which I've probably spent more time on than the junky Xbox 360. Honestly, I think a lot of it is just the people that play the games. I'm not as old as some of the more veteran gamers on these forums, but I've matured enough that playing any competitive game online can be more of a chore than it is enjoyable, simply because of a chipmunk yelling choice profanities almost every other second. With my N64, PS1, and GameCube... no such problems exist. It's wonderful. Other than that, though, I've been getting more and more into PC gaming. The people hanging out on PC seem to be a better crowd to game with. I've run into more people that I can say, "Good game," to at the end of a match on PC than I could ever hope to run into on a console.

Ran out of arrows, got shot with an enemy's arrow...I used the enemy's arrow and shot it back at him...killed him...
but thats not my funniest, it was just cool...
I shot a bandit whilst he was walking around a camp, it knocked him down then he just went to his bedroll and then went to sleep...
Lol, that's pretty epic.

Yeah, I've been considering the DR and UV mods. My only reason for hesitating is that the tameness of Oblivion combat hasn't really bothered me. I'm not sure it's worth throwing a mod on to fix something that's not really broken, and that I don't think I'd enjoy. Maybe I'll try it eventually, though. I typically hear nothing but good about it.

I'd like Vampirism more if it didn't make my dark elves look like giant raisins.
LMAO! Good one! :D
That "no vampire aging" mod I added really helped in this respect. I had a female dark elf vampire, and honestly, the only noticeable vampire trait she had when fully fed was paler eyes. She still got a case of the uglies when underfed, but not nearly as bad as normal.
Yeah, the absence of wrinkles is nice. Shame is it still turned my Mystic elf an atrocious pale color, which I suppose isn't too bad considering that it is a vampire. The gaunt cheeks are a tad annoying though. Even without the wrinkles, holy crap, looked like a man. The things I can never unsee. There's also a funny little bug where the "vampire eyes" you get during Vampirism are all mess up. One perpetually stared at my character's left nostril, while the other eye appeared to have rolled all the way over to look out the back of the head. Interesting, and I'm glad that in 3rd-person you see them from behind.
Either way I cured the Vampirism, with a little help from the Console, and no longer look like something ugly. Vampirism wasn't as fun as I had remembered it, and I don't need to be a creature of the Occult to go on mass killing sprees. I can just be a dirty bastard.

Heh, for fun I set up a character and just maxed every skill to 100, and set most of the attributes to 255. By most, I mean I left the ones that provided no further benefit at 100. At any rate that's hands-down the best player, and even without weapons and armor on. It kinda loses its fun after a bit, though. :P

Ahh, I think it's somewhere around 200 Acrobatics that you can jump the invisible wall in the Arena and kill one of the NPC combatants. Good way to make sure you win your bet, but I imagine it messes the game up pretty badly. I've been wanting to try it, but just haven't found the desire to find a way to fortify my Acrobatics that high, lol.

Can you give links to the above please, the search function here does not seem to work very well.
The only one I can find is
slofs sexy anims
Thanks:-)
The problem with providing links is that I don't believe it's permitted to post a link to an adult mod on these forums. I may be mistaken, though.

I agree with Frostcraig here. Definitely avoid Atronach as the birthsign if you've got little experience with the game, because the Stunted Magicka can be a real pain. If you don't mind added weakness to magic, the Apprentice will give you a 100 point boost to Magicka (50 less than the Atronach) without the annoying Stunted Magicka effect.
As far as major skills go, I'd say it depends on your preference. I tend to focus more towards skills I have control over. For example, I would not set Athletics as a major skill because I could randomly gain a level from it without intending too. It can throw off the whole "efficient levelling" thing if you're not careful. Also be careful with skills that you can "power level" with, such as Alchemy. It's not bad because you can easily choose whether or not to make a potion, but if you grind it without making sure your combat prowesses match your ever increasing level you may run into some trouble. The best setups, in my opinion, work with any specialization you want this character to have. Balancing your major skills with skills you both have control over and can be levelled fairly easily is key. Regardless of any of that, though, always make sure that your combat effectiveness (skills like Blade, Marksman, Destruction, etc.) is scaled well with how you are levelling up.
Of course, that's for vanilla play. If you've got mods thrown in that alter enemy levels about 50% of what I just typed holds little value.

Anyone know of any decent and reliable mods a player can earn some money?
Just bring up the Console and type:
player.additem F <quantity>
with the quantity being the amount of individual Septims you wish to add. No mods required. :D

Yeah, no joke. Heck if anything it'd make them run in front of you, because all that'd register in their mind is, "Oh crap, a spell, I better move." It'd be asking too much for them to take into consideration where you intend to send the spell off to.

In Dont Like The Defaults But If I Had To Choose It Would Be The Spellsword As I Like Combat With Both Spells And Magic.
Wait... what?

Yeah, that's the downfall of being a battlemage when there's friendly AI involved. You've got essentially no control over them, and at any point they just dart out in front of you. Area effect spells are useful, especially when you miss, but it always seems that I miss and have a massive fireball land in the middle of nowhere. While it's still chugging away (I usually slap a 10-second time on it for good measure) a few guards find it a good idea to casually plod right through it.
That's what frustrates me so much about the Great Gate part outside of Bruma during the main questline. Using magic is easily one of the more effective ways of stemming the tide of enemies, but with a plethora of stupid friendly AI running around you're pretty limited. I honestly wish there was a way to tell them to all wait on the hill until I head into the gate. "Yeah, once I go in you can mop up. Until then just stay here and let me do my thing."

I've never had issues with the grass. Baffles me how it's such an issue for so many other people. Of course, the initial loading of an outside cell has about a 1-second lag, but other than that I'm noticing no significant drop in fps or performance.

Hmm, well I was roleplaying a mass-murdering Archmage last night, and moved into that one "bank" place or whatever it is called in Cheydinhal after locating the key on the corpse of a victim. Good times, and I essentially wiped out the entire town with a large-area frost spell, which is pretty cool since everything caught in its area crackles like it's freezing.
-
Yeah. He would be nice with his comments when I had a high personality, but once I actually engaged in conversation he was right back to his same bad attitude. I felt little remorse purging the game of him. After buying some spells, of course. Lol.
-
Same here. I do nothing wrong to him and he's a total jerk. I've even tried never approaching him until I had maxed my Personality and Speechcraft. What a waste of time, because lo and behold he was still just as big a jerk as any other time I'd spoken to him.

Start an Argonian character (I suggest the name Fat-Head) and steal every fork in Cyrodiil.
I think I did something very similar once lol. Except I was stealing any pewter utensils I could find, not forks specifically.
-
Yes, any spells with an Area effect affects anything and anyone caught in the area. I learned this the hard when when I tried to heal town guards during the main quest outside of Bruma. The Xivilai were also being healed by the same spell I was using to keep friendly characters alive. Also, as far as I know, there aren't any mods that fix this problem. Then again I've never looked so someone else may know something.

Rule #28 of the Internet:
It doesn't matter how soon you learn something, someone else has learned it earlier, posted it on Facebook, at least five forums, and make a Youtube video about how awesome it is.
Too true.

Yeah. I also don't have any of the UOPs and notice that I'm not running into these problems either. Of course, it could be that newer mods released after the latest UOP is what causes things to go awry. Either way, I haven't had an actually need for anything but the Official Patches, so I'm not going to take my chance with the UOP.
-
Have you installed any mods? Duh. I need to get some reading glasses lol. Deactivating a mod and removing it are different entirely. If you've simply reinstalled the game to the same place it was in before, you should see that your mods have been preserved, and any files with them. Make sure that any manually installed mods have their textures, meshes, and other files removed as well.

Yeah, I can't keep my hands still for the life of me either lol I had some trouble aiming a bow in Twilight Princess on the Wii, so I went back to my room and played it on GameCube :P I have all the Halo games too. Reach was by far my least favorite. Although it is fun to jack some Banshees in the one level heheheh... and you get an achievement for it :D
I have everything possible unlocked for SSB: Brawl and SSB: Melee, so I usually just invite my friends over and we beat each other up. (I win usually 1/2 the time :P I rock as Pikachu lol)
It's scary how much you sound like myself. o_O I just haven't played Twilight Princess on the Wii lol.
-
Well you probably should've checked them one by one as you installed them. That's the easiest way to figure it out. As I only have the natural weather, water, and vegetation mod out of that list I can tell you with almost complete certainty that it is not the culprit. The rest you're going to have to check manually or have someone else help with as I know nothing about them.
-
Well yeah, the console command was obvious. I want to be sneaky about it lol. Especially interesting because I would have never even considered that.

Something that i see happening over and over
