  1. Nice job on these! I also really felt the music choices were very clever and spot-on. I hope you make more!
  2. Really incredible job!! Well done!! I'll have to watch it a number of times to make sure I see everything in it! You really had me wondering who's side you were on ...
  3. Good point, as I always forget shock drains magicka. BUT against Master Vholkinar vampires I wonder if it would be a significant enuf magicka drain as they likely would have tons of magicka. I'll try it next time one crosses my path! Thanks for the reminder!
  4. I agree that they are about the toughest enemy in the game. I've come up against them (or rather, they seem to find me when I am exploring at night- I swear they have a mile-wide aggro field!) several times. I almost always use a fireball staff when I first see them at distance, then a fire-enchanted 1-handed ebony sword or axe, using health potions as needed. I have Dawnbreaker now so would likely use her for next time. When I killed Movarth, I was able to sneak up onto a ledge overlooking the room he was in and took out his cronies first w/my flaming arrows, chugging a few invis potions, and then switched to either a flame-wall staff or fireball staff before he closed in on me. But fire-based weapons and health potions are what have worked for me - this is where my alchemy skill comes in handy  Those fights with Vholkinar masters are ALWAYS exciting! edited to correct spelling on Movarth's name
  5. I own the Solitude player house and always enter it through the lower level door, which looks down the hallway to where the mannequins are standing. I swear EVERY time I enter that cell from outside my mannequins look like they are off their pedestals and quickly jump back into place. I feel like yelling "Gotcha!!" at them! I am SO glad I don't find them upstairs, tho- that's a bit TOO creepy for me! :ohdear:
  6. This, or Earlier on in the game she did chat w/Brynjolf and he tried to get her to steal for him and my goodie-two-shoes Sionid told him 'no way' in her best shocked voicetone - he said he was mistaken as he had taken her for "that sort" (likely due to her very high sneak skill-lol-which is not necessarily proof of being a thieving type! Just a very cautious and careful type 8) ) and he backed off and never approached her again. So there are ways to not be forced into the thieves guild if it's not to your taste.
  7. Glad to help! When I first read that book in-game, I wondered if it was based on a place that could actually be visited as it gave pretty specific directions (Olenveld is on an island ~1 day's sail north from Winterhold). I had meant to try it once I explored up north, but had forgotten all about it till I saw your post. I think it's time I take a little recon journey and see if it's findable. A day's sail might be beyond the northern boundary, though, of the game's limit.Even if it's a totally deserted ruin of a town it'd be fun to find it
  8. I figured they had to use a different body since the little girl's was so unhealthy and simply transferred the soul into whatever body they had available - might not have looked quite as nice as Vralla's original body :ermm: Roslyn's 6-year old son looked like an old man because it was an old man's body they transferred his soul into. That was my take on that story
  9. Here's a tip about soul gems that have been filled w/too minor a soul (ie a grand soul gem filled with a lesser soul). Just drop it and that will clear the soul out of it. Then just pick it back up to put back into your inventory, ready to fill again :-)
  10. I'm just as stymied as the OP in what triggered the justicars' sudden "kill on sight" execution order. My Sionid had never attacked any Thalmor, nor done anything that could conceivably piss them off, nor has she taken sides in the civil war, yet imagine her surprise when 3 justicars suddenly jumped her out of the blue. She hadn't even been active on the main questline when this happened having not advanced the main quest since her escape from Helgen. And since she is basically a "good" character that doesn't kill wantonly, it's a bit perplexing. It has to be totally unassociated w/the main quest or else you would never get admission into the Thalmor embassey for the Diplomatic Immunity quest and she had no problem there once she did get into the main questline. The justicars need to get in line since the Dark Brotherhood is also sending would-be assassins after her for some unknown transgression on her part! She's left a trail of bodies behind her as they are completely inept, as were the Thalmor justicars.
  11. I wish there was an option to catch them and put them into jars- like the jars you can find that hold a single dragonfly, bee, or firebug. I'd love to collect a jarful of those firebugs and then let them loose at night in a field somewhere and watch them swirl around me all aglow :-) lol weird, right?!
  12. I'm beginning to think the DB is using their contract against me (and I have no clue as to who initiated it) as their preferred method of weeding out their inept! All 7 attempts have been full front-on attacks in broad daylight, no stealth, no hiding in shadows, no skill  They deserve to fail.
  13. This. My Sionid knows things are rarely what they seem like on the surface (ie the whole beginning scenario) and even though she followed the Imperial who saved her from Helgen, she ditched him right after and went on her own, preferring to take her time and figure things out once she got familiar with both sides. Being a Nord she wants what is best for her home land, and feels keeping the Imperial presence strong is necessary to keep the Thalmor in check. In her mind siding with the Stormcloaks would only lead to increasing weakening of the Imperials which is exactly what the Thalmor want. Sionid will not do anything that makes the Thalmor happy!
  14. I'm so glad I wasn't drinking something while watching this- I would have sprayed it all over my laptop screen I was laughing so hard!! Awesome job!! Thanks so much!!
  15. Everything looks great! I know how hard it is to place things and how patient you need to be to stick it out :wallbash: I hope they stay in place for you! I know a lot of folks, including myself, have a hard time with that. I've been trying to place staves in an oversized dwemer urn and they keep exploding out of it (sigh). Hopefully once the CK comes out someone will mod a "decorator's assistant" type utility to make our domestic lives easier ;-) Very nice job!
