  1. Oh trust me, I've been modding for years but I've never ran into a problem like this. What's a good registry cleaner to use? Well I use Auslogics BoostSpeed, which is actually a bunch of optimization programs in one, it costs money but you can get the included registry cleaner separately for free on their website though.
  2. Try uninstalling animation replacing mods and see if it helps, if it does, then reinstall them again and see if the problem happens again.
  3. I had a similar problem last time I reinstalled, I managed to fix it by uninstalling, then running a defrag on my hardrive, using a registry cleaner and finally reinstalling. I don't know if it would work for you as your problem might be something else, but if you are willing its worth a try and helps your PC as well. Also you might want to take it easy when installing mods, install em one by one, nice n' easy, run the game after every install and make sure it runs fine, use FNVEdit for conflict busting and making sure everything runs well and when you're finally done grab BOSS and run it (also create a merged patch if need be). Oh and don't forget to use NVSE.
  4. Actually this happened to me with FOMM last time I reinstalled my game, its perfectly normal as far as I can tell, unless you want to run your game without the DLCs you should check them.
  5. After some messing around seems that FNV stutter remover was the actual culprit, after disabling it I was able to complete the quest without any problems. Curiously enough though after being done with the quest my game froze (forcing me to close it with task manager) several times, seemed to happen often until I reactivated FNVSR, several hours of gameplay later and everything seems to be running fine. . . Hmmm, strange.
  6. Curtis is dead and I'm sprinting for the monorail terminal like an action movie protagonist, but when I go through the door (into the monorail terminal) the game crashes, consistently, every, single, time. The error report points to the "nvse 1_4 dll" as the cause. . . So. . . Any ideas?
  7. I've turned multi-threaded audio off, still crashes. I also tried adding the d3d9.dll file, still crashes. I looked around a bit and it seems the crash is caused by msvcrt.dll (Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 0000a3da). Any ideas?
  8. About BOSS, yeah I noticed that as soon as I ran it, good stuff. I wonder why I didn't use it before. Why shouldn't I do a master update? Well (thinking about settings that could cause any kind of trouble), I set my number of havok threads to 2 and I set everything between threaded morpher and load lip files in background to ON. I've done it in my past install and never really caused me any trouble as far as I can recall, but if you have any suggestions they are more than welcome. Oh and I also increased my preload size limit to 50 mb and set "use hard drive cache" to ON. I also increased my audio cache size to 4096 and set multi-threaded audio ON.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Anyways, I don't think its load order/conflict related. I've checked for conflicts with FNVedit several times and even created a merged patch. And as for BOSS, I used the one FOMM comes with to "optimize" my load order. Could you tell me what is the difference between the one FOMM has and the standalone version? But anyways I'll try it out anyways and see what happens.
  10. Well the mod nevada skies features "moods" options, one of such is a silent hill like ambiance. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35998 Hope this helps.
  11. Recently I reinstalled the game, updated it. All was well, no problems. Then downloaded and installed utilities and the like (FOMM, NVSE, New Vegas Configator, FNVedit). Did a few changes to my ini. settings with configator. Then I installed the mods, here's my load order: FalloutNV.esm Advanced Recon Tech.esm NSkies URWLified.esm Primary Needs HUD.esm iHUD.esm SCAV.esm Caliber.esm Mo'.esm Project Nevada - Core.esm Lings.esm Compiled Patch.esp Centered 3rd Person Camera.esp Purge Cell Buffers.esp Readius_NV.esp The Mod Configuration Menu.esp VyntageCass02.esp VyntageVeronica02.esp Project Nevada - Cyberware.esp Project Nevada - Rebalance.esp Existence2.0.esp Plausible Starting Outfit.esp Advanced Recon Gear.esp Advanced Recon Tech.esp QS_Blackwolf_NV_Backpackmod.esp Advanced Recon Gear - Project Nevada.esp FlashlightNVSE.esp Holster.esp JillBSAA Multicolor.esp NCR Rearmament v1.5 (Lore).esp TGsArmorCollectionVegas.esp w44Satchels - Full.esp headgearfix.esp Mo'Guns.esp Mo'haveAmmoDepot.esp Mo'Suite.esp RemoteControlCompanions.esp Zombie Serenade.esp UnlimitedCompanions.esp LFox Bottle That Water.esp Reactive People - Ultimatum.esp Interior Lighting Overhaul-Realistic Interiors-Full.esp BetterGamePerformanceV4.esp Clean Up New Vegas.esp I hope this does it. . ..esp (Merged patch for Caliber and JillBSAA suit mod) I'm running an animations replacer and MTUI as well. Oh and a type 3 body replacer. Anyways the game runs fine, but after playing for a while the game CTDs, you know a "New Vegas has stopped working, close program" thing, (half an hour is the longest I've managed to go), at first I just thought it was one of those usual CTDs that make this game so infamous (lol). But then when i try to reload it CTDs as well. Tried starting a new game (created 4 different save backups for that one too), same circumstance CTD, same story for all 4 save files when i try to reload any of them. . . New game works though. Also its worth mentioning that when i try to master update(FNVedit) new game CTDs as well after the intro (during or after the load). Help, i don't want to be stuck in Goodsrpings forever. :( Edit: After some testing I've noticed that the crashes usually happen when changing cells and that any saves made near the time of the crash will crash as well when attempting reload.
  12. Actually,I've already fixed it, but thnx for the help fellas, all i had to do was move FOMM's folder into the FNV's directory.
  13. I have, in fact I have reinstalled it several times already and I do have NVSE installed.
  14. Recently I've reinstalled FNV, and so then i downloaded FOMM, installed it and finally when I try to run it,FOMM, (through both the shortcut and exe. directly within the main folder), it just tells me "FOMM has stopped working," in other words it crashes. This happens every single time i try to run the darned thing, I have browsed the forums for a solution and so far i haven't been able to find anything. So here I am, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. . . .
