  1. Hi,

wanted to start Skyrim with this: Start "tesv.exe"/high "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Ichbins\Eigene Dateien\My Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\TESV.exe"

The program starts/runs correctly, but still with normal process priority. I´ve played it for some weeks with high priority, which is more stabile with my old system. Now I don´t want to change it manually after each start. What am I doing wrong ?

Many things probably, but I mean conc. this....

2 things: path(it´s german) is correct + noob here, never used/created a batch file before

    Thx for your help

    edit: tried this as well:

    start "tesv.exe" "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Ichbins\Eigene Dateien\My Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\tesv.exe" /high

    same result. F.

    Why ? aoäiew4zb9v8 es6w gq34z98 8

edit2: hours and hours. tried directly with cmd.exe, even then start /high tesv.exe does not show me high priority in the task manager, skyrim just starts normal, nothing else. Frustrating.

  2. Hi,

I´m running Skyrim on an old System( Windows XP pro SP3, AMD 64 x2 dual core 4200+, Geforce GTS 250, 2 GB RAM). When I play with onetweak mod(that I really appreciate) I can´t - even in fullscreen mode - adjust game brightness.

I uninstalled the mod via NMM legacy, changed game brightness (that worked), re-installed the mod, but found out that onetweak only works with the standard brightness it seems. I can´t even change it this way. Is there any solution for this ? My monitor-settings concerning brightness and Gamma are on the highest positions. I don´t want to sit in a dark room in summer :-). Or is there a possibility to change the standard brightness in some .ini file if nothing else works ?

edit: changes conc. gamma and colour settings in the Skyrimprefs.ini do not apply, also console command sg (setgamma) has no effect :-(

    Thx for your answers

  3. Hi

and thx for your answers. I´m not only new to modding but to these forums as well, so I opened this topic here and after that in the Skyrim forums. Sry about that.

So far I have installed the latest version of Boss with an old masterlist I have found, the latter I had to add manually. The program works now. Today I have also downloaded TES5Edit. I am already working with NMM. I´ll find out about your other suggestions. I have just started learning about all this last Sunday and today I have to play (just bought Skyrim in the beginning of this month) :-). Have to watch some more instructions on youtube within the next days.

  4. Hi

and thx for the answers. Installer did not work but finally I found this:

    Click View Raw

Copy that onto a text file and call it masterlist.txt" (boss/skyrim/masterlist.txt)

There simply seems to be no support/update for boss anymore, so a "new" version of the list does not exist. Apparently that means that the program can´t even create one when running for the first time.

So I created that manually and it works. Well, at least for mods until about January 2014(2014, yes), but that still helps. If you deactive the "update masterlist" option, you don´t get any error messages.

    :-)

  5. Hi,

I am still using Windows xp home and need some advice concerning optimization of the load order. As far as I know, LOOT would not work. I have installed BOSS, but after starting BOSS, this happens:

    BOSS

    Version 2.3.0

    Summary
    Log Feature Support
    Filters

    Error: masterlist update failed.
Details: Git operation failed. Error: 4294967295; Failed to send request: Das Format der empfangenen Nachricht war unerwartet oder fehlerhaft.
Critical Error: ".\Skyrim\masterlist.txt" cannot be found!
Check the Troubleshooting section of the ReadMe for more information and possible solutions.
    Utility will end now.

I am new to modding and help would really be appreciated. Which program can/should I use ? Thx for your response.
