  1. I dont know about you guys but I'd like to keep my own prisoners too :D I'd sure like to ransom or behead my prisoners too :O It would be interesting if towers could be rebuilt into forts, forts into towns, etc, basically an urbanisation of the game world achieved through a) conquering - bringing enemy territories under control b) rebuilding and expansion - perhaps link it to crafting somehow, mining, logging?, hire NPCs to harvest while protecting them, link the dungeons/mines to fort expansion, fort expansion depending on local resources or having to escort raw materials from other destinations back to your fort [random ideas...] c) armouring - hiring an army and equipping them for each fort d) defending - defending forts against sieges (imagine 50 giants and 100 mammoth vs your army :) ) Of course a well thought out storyline for each fort/area would compliment this well
  2. I'd say just work on one province, perhaps hammerfell or high rock? You know the specific areas within the provinces, just a matter of fleshing it out (perhaps a more focussed remake of TES 2 in a sense). Imagine the Unique Landscape Mods in oblivion, all connected into making a new province :) for example http://www.imperial-library.info/content/major-realms-iliac-bay lists pretty much the specific counties within the provinces as a base to work off. I would say hammerfell or high rock would be more attractive for modders, as there are a variety of landscapes (fields, coasts, mountains, islands) to imagine along with a stretch of sea. i counted around 43 counties on the TES2 map in that link. Imagine fleshing out all 42 counties, each being the size of Skyrim. Now that might just end up being as large as the original :D
  3. It seems a bit immersion killing that an adventurer can build up a whole armoury and real estate with little to no consequence. So I was wondering whether the following would be possible / is of interest for modders to take up: a) When your loot goes missing from unsafe storage, trigger a retrieval or manhunt quest when you next go back to that town/location wherever the storage was held. b) Allow NPCs to rob your houses, again triggering retrieval or manhunt quests c) When you "die" your corpse stays in the world and you either have to get back to it in ghost form (like Ultima Online) from the last bed you slept in, or you take control of a companion to come and revive you. - Practicalities: 1) Modify all unsafe storage so it just doesnt vanish, rather NPCs actually loot them. Also make all safe storage unsafe so it can be looted. 2) You learn your storage has been looted by a variety of dynamic ways a) a thief Note left in the storage , b) a friendly NPC comes to you as you enter the town, c) a group of theives attack you as you enter town with at least one of them making their way to a horse or carriage to flee, d) from either a b or c, you then have to chase the thieves or track them down, possibly a never ending story of notes left around towns, or NPCs saying they saw thieves riding towards x location, you get there and see a note saying to go to x cave. basically you would encounter the thieves around the world or they will head directly to a bandit cave. 3) Add cool ethereal ghost effects when you die :)
