  1. I am trying to add a cigarette butt "model" to the ashtray "model" so that the two become one. Sort of like the alternate ashtray that has the smoking cigar. Although I would like to be able to move my finished ashtray in-game like the empty ashtray can be now. I have tried nifscope and toyed with blender but I must be doing something wrong as the best I can acheive is the in-game product is the normal ashtray with the cigarette lying beneath it. Is nifscope the way to go, or should I try something else? Could one of you gurus point me in the right direction?
  2. I am going to try my hand at modifying a few idle anims. I am not happy with the ones we have. I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a good blender tutorial that would help me do that. I am a noob as far as animation goes so it has to start simply. Should I actually succeed I will post the results for others to use if they like. I am going to start off with something simple like a different seated anim, but I would like to eventually work up to some of the really spectacular things I have seen over at Skyrim.
  3. I am using Mojave Delight (a GREAT mod by the way) to give my female character a unique body; mesh and texture while using a different body, a default body, for the other wasteland females. It has worked great thus far. I recently used blender to tweak the body mesh and when I exported it back the tweaked mesh now uses the texture that the rest of the females in the Mojave use. Try as I might I cannot get it to use my preferred texture. Although I checked using the GECK and it is still indicating that the correct texture be used. Also, I noticed that when opening a body mesh with GIMP the figure is black, without color, like a 3d shadow. The figure that I exported back from Blender is now colored the same as that default texture. I assume I am doing something wrong when I export the mesh but cannot figure out what. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I wasn't planning on posting anything, its for personal use. Besides I was going to use fan made textures. Those do not belong to the game maker.
  5. Is it possible to export a skyrim texture over to Fallout NV? Or an idle anim for that matter?
  6. Is it possible to import textures from Skyrim to FONV? There are some "freckle" texture over there that I like. Also I was wondering about idle anims. Can those be imported over?
  7. The "R" key will draw the guns just fine, but it does not put them away again. It will unready the "fighting" stance or put away a melee weapon. Just not the guns, rifles or pistol. I am using the weapon animations mod by joefoxx082 and the holster mod by heavensturkey. Up until today they did not interfere with my holstering, so I am assuming they are not the problem. Anyone else ever have this problem?
  8. LOL. Pinto huh? That made me laugh. I take your meaning. Hmm. I will have to give your suggestion some more thought. It could be cheaper in the long run to go that route.
  9. Thanks for the answers. Although what I meant was, will having more memory really help me? Do I need to upgrade the video card (and the power supply)? I already have a non-factory video card, just cant remember what it is off the top of my head. It is about 5ish years old though so I am sure somewhat outdated. And bjornl, I understand your point of upgrading the whole system, but my present one runs the game just fine, and does everything I want it to. I am more of a "pick-up truck" gamer so do not really need a Lamborghini computer. I would just like to have better "tires" and "shocks".
  10. I would like to upgrade the graphics capabilities of my game and would like some input as to what I may need. New video card, upgrade the power supply, more memory whatever, short of buying a whole new computer. Its a Christmas gift so I have some leeway as to how much I can spend. I am using an HP Pavillion Slimline, and I think it has a 250watt power supply.

  12. I changed the hands field without making sure that it was the female hands I was changing. Naturally, the first field to pop up was the male fields, so I changed the male hands to the ones I wanted the female to be. Gecking without paying attention. I will try your suggestion.

I use the Mojave Delights mod and was adding nails to my PC when I inadvertently also added the slender female hands with colored nails to the male figures .Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows how to change back to the default male hands, so all the men of NV do not have delicate little hands? Besides reloading Mojave Delight, since I have modified it in other and do not want to redo it all over again. There are no male hands textures or meshes that I could find in the GECK.
  14. When I checked in the view tab, the render window was not checked, and I could not check it. Odd. Your alternate suggestion did work though. Thanks.
  15. I know this is likely a foolish question but how do I "pull up" the render window? I think that is what it is called. The window that allows you to see interior and exterior spaces. I used to be able to get the geck view of Doc Mitchel's house, but now when I go to the cell view window and double click on any interior/exterior space there is no viewing window available. If memory serves (and it rarely does) there was a 4th window that normally popped open when I started the geck. Now I only have the main window the object view window and the cell view window. I must of hidden that other window somehow and now I cannot find it.
