  1. The actions and animations aren't a problem for the Weredragon mod, the main focus is making it possible to change height, which Hayk has just completed and will hopefully upload the new version in the next few days. Once that's done, the mod will pretty much be complete and you'll be able to do everything an NPC Dragon can do! That's all I'm looking for.
  2. So far, as I said before, Hayk has gotten a very solid playable Dragon mod already working without the need of opening the console even once. Still has to use the trick of going into first person to start/stop flying but apart from that, it works perfectly, I suffered from little to no crashes and you can take-off and land anywhere you please using that method. It's very easy to use. Well then, good luck on your Dragon mount mod, but I'll go to Hayk's Weredragon comments section for updates on his progress from here on. Hope you make a break-through in future.
  3. Well, to be honest, I am only looking for a playable Dragon mod. Mounts don't appeal to me. But I can definitely understand if it does for you. Are you still trying to finish your playable Dragon mod? Or are you only focusing on a Dragon mount? Thanks for the quick reply, though.
  4. Make sure to keep us updated on any of your progress guys! There's a lot of people here waiting for a properly working Dragon mod including myself. Hayk seems to have gotten the farthest in terms of fluid animations (Wings flapping, turning, head movement etc.), what animations do you have working so far porroone? I wish I could help, but I'm not a very good scripter and I'm also pretty sick. Still, you've got my full support and I hope to hear more news from you soon. I wish you the best of luck with the mods!
  5. Indeed, and the fact that the console states that the player is not flying confirms that it is only an animation with some speed differences. That is exactly what I found to be most astonishing about the find. Perhaps Bethesda will mysteriously help us again at some point.
  6. I'm just trying to find a way to make Dragons fully playable before going into complex story ideas. A story for playing as a Dragon will go to complete waste if a way to properly play as a Dragon is never found. Yes, I get success no matter where I am. I have tested in several places, Ivarstead, Lost Tongue Overlook, Whiterun's plains. All with complete success with both taking off and landing. Something to note, is that I made a quick mod that switches the Player to the exact same stats, characteristics and Actor Base of a Dragon before I found out about this. But I disabled my mod to see if this was possible just using "Player.setrace Dragon" and "Player.pa 3b4e3". Perhaps Skyrim crapped out and didn't uninstall it properly?
  7. Sam, did you make sure to stay in first person while using the take off command? So far I've been able to get complete control over the Dragon while it is flying everywhere I've tried it. The only down side is that I fall to the ground, but still move fast on the ground as if I'm on wheels. And thanks for using my Support Banner; Support is always appreciated.
  8. Hey guys, since the Creation kit is FINALLY out ( ) I'd like to remind everyone reading this that right now there are many, many people that are waiting for a Playable Dragon mod (including myself), so it would be really great if you could try seeing what you can do with the Creation Kit now that it's out. I'm pretty sure scripting needs to be done for this, and I definitely don't have time to learn a whole new scripting language, I'm busy enough as it is in real life. Anyway, I've found out something quite interesting! I don't think this has been mentioned before, if it has, then nevermind. While in game, I use the normal "Player.setrace dragon" command. Then I use the command to start flying, "player.pa 3b4e3", normally this will crash your game or leave you hovering in mid-air, but I've found a way to actually get a step further. If you use the start-flying command while in first person, you will stay in place and actually switch to the flying animation in the same place without getting stuck! You can then zoom back out into third person without any crashes and move about freely. Your character will even make the wing flapping animations and turn animations when you move your mouse! Just a warning, you go super fast so you can end up loading several areas all at once if you go too fast. Unfortunately you can't actually stay in the air, you just fall normally, but don't take any fall damage. I checked with the console commands and it says I'm not flying, so that could be the cause. I can also use the TCL command to fly back up into the air very easily, it's worth a try. I've taken screenshots of myself using these commands, you can look at them all here: http://imageshack.us/g/684/screenshot9s.png/ If anyone else has anything to share on getting Dragons flyable I'd be glad to hear it. PS: Bazinix, that video of the Dragon flying is not controllable, it's just someone using the TC command on a flying Dragon and then watching the camera follow it. Also, Dragons use shouts to breath fire and frost, not magicka and the camera problem was already fixed about a month ago.
  9. Look, this mod is about the Skyrim dragons, not anthro races. If you want to make/support a mod for anthro creatures then you should find/start one specifically for that. We don't want this getting mixed up into a "New Race" mod, it's about taking the dragons that are already in Skyrim and making them playable. That's it for now. We'll probably add quests and other things later but that's after we/someone succeeds in actually making dragons playable, we're not going to mess around with new races. This thread should be kept quiet until the Creation Kit comes out which should be extremely soon. Then we will have something properly constructive to talk about.
  10. And what of this mod have you made so far? Or is all this what you 'plan' on creating.
  11. Ah yes, just as I saw in the thread I mentioned above. I'm glad he got around to uploading the fix. No, it should not take long at all to make, once the Creation Kit is out (January ) we should be able to put this together very easily. The Setrace commands that are already in the game make things a lot easier.
  12. Bloody January! Typical Bethesda; first it's "Probably packaged with the game", then it's "Sometime right after release day", then it's "In about a week or two", and then it's "About a week after Thanks Giving". Now it's January! :wallbash: I'm not holding my breath, at this rate we'll be lucky to get the Creation Kit by July. I was foolish to ever believe Bethesda could keep their schedule. :armscrossed: Seriously, if they were smart, they'd work entirely on releasing the Creation Kit as soon as they can. Then they'd NEVER have to worry about fixing the PC version of the game EVER again! We all know that the Mod Community can fix bugs in the game hundreds of times faster than Bethesda can. I really should have foreseen this...
  13. Yes, this is what I am trying to get people to focus on. What's the point of story without the ability to play it? The camera isn't a problem now, as on another thread, someone showed how you can modify a creatures skeleton and move the camera in that process. I believe another person on that thread is going to upload the edited files for people to download and install with a simple drag-and-drop method.
  14. Simply using the console we have already gotten a working playable dragon with shout attacks. We still have yet to work out how to bind keys to scripts for flying and other Dragon attacks such as biting. But for the most part, we have a playable dragon working. Even without the Creation Kit, we're making progress.
  15. That would be very creepy indeed, I always was disappointed there was nothing like that in the debts of the Skyrim ocean, nothing to fear. If you do make that mod, I will definitely download it. I know you may be going for a more water-elemental dragon, but imagine something like this after you: http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs24/f/2008/026/f/2/Water_Dragon_by_ConejoBlanco.jpg :ohdear: By the way, you should stop with the quoting, it's getting a bit out of hand...
