  1. i assume the save is clean, not sure what u mean by "dirty"? its just the last save that i had loaded when i was having some success playing the game without crashes.
  2. well, my crashes were getting more frequent and now they have gotten to the point where my current save is loaded and i get about 5 seconds into the save and then i get the message that "windows 7 can no longer run Fallout New Vegas" and is shutting down. i have uninstalled the game about 4 times and reinstalled, there are no mods, just the basic game, i have compatibility set windows xp sp3, applied the .dll file to the approiate place, made the edit changes within the "fllout.ini file", don't know why i'm having this problem. not sure what else to do, any suggestions?
  3. so i'm seeing where there are a number of ppl having problems. i am not seeing where there are a lot of solutions. i have had a number of crashes at various times, doesn't seem to matter when or where. i have tried a number of settings, updates, and just about everything i can read and try. i find it hard to believe that no fix has been found. my sound is very strange, when i come to a spot where there is to going to be human interaction, i get this sound of like a bee hive, nothing coherent as far as voices like it should be, the other annoying thing is the seemingly random crashes throughout the game. any light that can be shed would be great. i done a number of searches and applied the fixes that everyone has suggested and nothing seems to work. thanks for time and patience, just love the game but the gameplay is very annoying.
