NVidia Pascal + Intel Broadwell-E for 255 mod list
WickedCat replied to WickedCat's topic in Hardware and software discussion
Come on, decently modded (multiple 4k res texture packs, enb) my current computer handle Skyrim with a steady 60 FPS outdoors, even around Whiterun. Don't tell me it's impossible to use my mods list posted above and get a rock solid 60 FPS with the new Intel proc (4-8-10 cores no matter which one) + an upcoming 16GB nVidia Pascal graphic card. I can also buy a 64GB ram and create a RAMDisk in which I store Skyrim and its mods. I read someone did it and had a 60 FPS with greedy mods like ETaC as I mentionned in my first post. -

Hey, I was playing Skyrim with a huge mod list until I reached the 20 fps. That's when I stopped playing and decided to wait for a computer upgrade. My current setup is: i5 3570K 4.2GHz 780 GTX 3GB 16 GB DDR Samsung SSD 250GB (Win7 64b and Skyrim on it) I am looking forward to the nVidia Pascal GC series and the 10 core Intel processor, around april. My mods aim at enhancing the immersion mainly. The mod list is mainly built around: - NPC - Towns - 4k res packs - Scripts I noticed that Expanded Towns and Cities had a huge impact on my fps, rounding up a 20% decrease of my FPS. I firmly want to use all these mods and get a capped 60 FPS even in town, 50 is acceptable, not below. So, with the upcoming nVidia Pascal GC and 10 cores Intel processors, do you think it is possible ? Here is my mods list (Excel required): https://mega.nz/#!b1dhGIiL!owdNN5MOvJ8ZWWN6-ELx2OmfECTXvRZ4VCWKW_24LHI

What computer can run this huge mod list ?
WickedCat replied to WickedCat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Ok thank you for your answers. Regarding the conflicts, I am assuming then MO handles them, since I didn't have any red cross or errors, my load order was neat. Now regarding my computer I think I will go for a 980 Tis SLI, hovering to 12GB Vram. I read it is performing 80-90% better than a single Titan X (also 12GB) if the game scales good at 4k. Now, if I'm going with these 2 980 Tis and 4k res textures, is my 24" monitor good enough ? I don't want a supersized screen, so playing at over 1080p isn't necessary, right ? Besides my monitor, I know I'll have to buy a complete new rig for those 2 beasts. -

This community is dead ? Or nobody checks this boards section ? -
Hello everyone, I never played Skyrim past the first dungeon near Riverwood. I went straight to download all the compelling mods I could find. I found myself with a huge list of mods that enhance the game so much it is very impressive and exciting! Although, my computer doesn't agree with me and my FPS goes between 20-60. My computer was a high-end rig 2 years ago, it runs smoothly any vanilla game, or decently modded skyrim even. But that list, heck it's very demanding... My FPS: - Interiors always 60 - When I exit an interior I have a few stutters when I'm outside. - Exteriors between 20-60 You can find my whole list of mods in a excel file below, but what I think impact mostly my performances are: - 4k textures packs - Scripts - Cities enhancements My computer: MOBO: ASUSTeK P8Z77-V LXCPU: i5 3570K Core Speed: 4.2GHzMemory: 16GB DDR3 951MHzGPU: GTX 780 3072MBytes Core 32MHzSSD: Samsung 940 Pro 256GB (Win7 and Skyrim+mods)HDD: Seagate 7200 RPM (10 years old)Cache: L1 32KB, L2 256KB, L3 6MB It was a very powerful computer 1 or 2 years ago, but still remains solid today. I'm running Skyrim with Mod Organizer (closed when I run Skyrim), and the bare minimum with it while playing, no random applications. I have SkyRe Reproccer as well as Dual Sheath Redux Reproccer. I used LOOT and TES5Edit, that I added myself in MO, to clean all the esm. I have around 200 mods running, it's heavily scripted with all the NPC mods. Also I have several Parallax 4k and a lot of texture packs in 2k, 4k. My Skyrim is running with Real Vision ENB and I added a few city mods. As an example of the worst performances I am getting: 30 FPS on the bridge of Riverwood, while looking at the village (between 30-50 while running in Riverwood) 20 FPS while moving the camera around in the Whiterun exterior city, added by Expanded Towns and Cities My average while playing normally, without searching for the worst performances and spots: 35-45 FPS. No problem whatsoever in the interiors as I stated before. I never used any Textures Optimizer. I am wondering if I am using double textures for the same content, same for Parallax. Basically, maybe if I remove 1 texture package, I would see no difference and get better performance. I am unaware if multiple mods replace the same textures. My question: What components could run my modded Skyrim with a stable 60 FPS (if capped to 60) and no stutter ? My Mods List: https://mega.nz/#!ztt1TILZ!azlYDo0qz0CZWxbErV4sAaam0K91-5c7tzlSl5QhGuI

Hey, thanks for your answers to you all. I will do those tests and check for the ini tweaks this evening. I really believed my 780 was a monster in my computer. I mean, it was 600 euros 2 years ago, just below the Titan, it was really considered a giant monster of GPU back then, for real it was. Maybe I will build another computer later this year but only if I can't get my mods list working without any stutters. I mean, you can feel it when your FPS goes below 40, it's not smooth and comfortable. 40 FPS minimum is my personal limit, below I'm not satisfied gameplay-wise. I thought about setting up a RamDisk to load a few mods instantly out of it. I can make a RamDisk of about 11 to 12GB, so I can load a few heavy mods onto it. ETaC, SMIM, Parallax, Textures 4k, some heavy scripted mods in my lists as well, if you can tell me which ones. What do you think about it ? Can it be done ?

Hey, thanks for your answer. I'm indeed on Win7. As you suggested, I changed the power management to Prefer maximum performance, under my TES5 program settings in the nVidia control panel. Also, I'm already using a borderless window mod, One Tweak, under "Tools" in my mods list in the first message. I noticed that the Expanded Towns and Cities mod (ETaC) lowers my fps by roughly 20% (from 40 to 32 for example, when looking at the exact same direction). I knew ETaC mod was very greedy on CPU (or GPU) because of all the meshes it's adding (the buildings and such). But I definitely want that mod on. The textures look incredibly accurate, all around, the rocks, the grass, the wooden pieces. But maybe there is a couple of mods that replace textures, actually already replaced by other mods. Or maybe the 4k packages are too much for the human eye, and a 2k would make no difference whatsoever, but a noticeable performance boost. I have no idea about that, I'm just assuming.

Hello, I have Expanded Towns and Cities mod installed. Along with it, I have installed these: Cutting Room Floor ELFX Expanded Winterhold Ruins Immersive Stables No Snow Under The Roof RS Children The main plugin of ETaC is enabled, but all the patches are disabled, I don't know why. Plugins list for ETaC: http://s3.postimg.org/6ohd0rl1v/etac.png If I enable 1 of them, I'm getting instant CTD at Skyrim logo (before the text menu appear). I want to activate them because I noticed a piece of wood with a lantern flying in Riverwood, as long as the behavior of all NPC is weird. They just stand around, steadily, they don't move, they take a pose and aren't even talkative like they should be. Some seems to be stuck with their pathway, some are just like statues. When I talk to some of them, they tell me something but without moving the lips. Screens to see all this: Lantern flying http://s23.postimg.org/qp1u4ue21/enb_2015_09_05_14_31_44_93.png Like statues http://s1.postimg.org/iajd9gsnh/enb_2015_09_05_14_24_21_56.png http://s1.postimg.org/9bopioydp/enb_2015_09_05_14_24_28_05.png http://s1.postimg.org/69xx8ql8t/enb_2015_09_05_14_24_52_78.png http://s1.postimg.org/y7i566l1p/enb_2015_09_05_14_25_28_37.png http://s23.postimg.org/78h4ibiy1/enb_2015_09_05_14_32_02_02.png http://s23.postimg.org/im3ntitgp/enb_2015_09_05_14_32_41_00.png Doesn't move the lips while talking http://s1.postimg.org/3oscl7vv1/enb_2015_09_05_14_24_35_04.png Doesn't seem to be able to move, but no statue pose http://s1.postimg.org/5yggvz4st/enb_2015_09_05_14_25_18_25.png NPC mods: Inconsequential NPCs Inhabitants of Skyrim Interesting NPCs All these NPC mods are activated and after ETaC in the list. I used LOOT through MO, cleaned all the esm he told me to, using TES5Edit through MO again. If anyone can help please. I can provide more information if needed.

Camera goes 360 during intro + Endless loading screen

Oh my god, I finally made those 2 mods work together. I uninstalled Skyrim Flora Overhaul and reinstalled it. Then I activated both SFO and RW2 and tried. Crash I uninstalled Realistic Water Two and reinstalled it. Then I activated both SFO and RW2 and tried. Crash But I found out I installed 2 files for RW2. The main file and the optional file for ENB.So I gave it a try, I simply installed the optional file, tried and no crash anymore  !!!It's weird because if I have that main RW2 file + the optional file for ENB it's working, without SFO checked though. Anyway, now I am getting this everytime I am loading my save:http://s13.postimg.org/spak6xyit/enb_2015_09_05_01_45_31_15.png This stuff is kind of hard for me, I merely managed to make it work with a smaller mod list, now I'm afraid to destroy everything.Anyone can help me out with it please ? EDIT:I ran the Dual Sheath Patcher, that I made before, through MO.After a bit of time it finished, I checked the patch.esp in the plugins list, tried, and no message anymore! All problems fixed, I just cannot believe it. I still have a few mods to install, 20 or so and I'm done. But till now, it looks absolutly amazing. It's extremely immersive and I believe it will be very tough, difficulty wise.Just can't wait to start! EDIT:I found another problem. If I activate RW2 + Watercolor for ENB, it crash before the main menu appears.Reason: there is not RealisticWaterTwo.esp included in the RW2 for ENB, in the optional files.Fix: I took the RealisticWaterTwo.esp from the main file of RW2 and put it in the RW2 created by MO, under MO mods. -

Good to know! So I should not be worried about the crazy camera moving and carriage stuck endlessly. I have: Alternate Start - Live another life Random Alternate Start Not installed of course, since I have not played the game yet. It's for a 2nd playthrough. -

I don't, I'm using Mod Organizer. Many people are saying that MO doesn't need LOOT, still I had to to replace a few esp myself due to some ctd at main menu. SkyRe Patcher and Dual Sheath Patcher allow me to detect which esp is misplaced when running them through MO. I installed many mods, it was going perfectly fine, then I installed 20 mods that I placed on top of the list (after the unofficial patches). I put them on top of the list because I'm using the CBBE, and the skin are too good to be replaced by skin textures with ugly dirt on it. And the ctd started here. I have no idea how to setup LOOT in MO, I managed to setup the SkyRe reproccer, and many others, but not LOOT. Edit: If I deactivate all those 20 mods, I can reload my last save with no problem, just a wall which is now plain blue. I'm not too worried about that for now. It's because I deactivated SMIM. Here is my mod list (MO makes it in reverse, the 1st one is at the bottom, I don't know why) I have tracked down the error. I deactivated those 20 mods in red. Then I activated 1, loaded my save, activated another 1, loaded my save.Until I activated Realistic Water Two.I loaded my save and during the blackscreen there was a message linked to SkyRe patches, like SkyRe restarted or something. But, if I start a new game I still have the camera going 360, the carriage doesn't even go in Helgen, I can't really see if it's moving, but the dialogues are working. LATEST EDIT:HUGE UPDATE IN MY HUNTI discovered the crash occur when I activate Skyrim Flora Overhaul + Realistic Water Two.I can load my save with no issue if I activate SFO, same with RW2. But not both in same time. Anyone can help me find the reason ?I'm kind of clueless now... They are supposed to be working together, I think. -

Hello, I installed some mods and now when I'm starting a new game, the camera goes 360 and the carriage intro is endless. If I load my save, I get a endless loading screen. Until recently I could load without any problems, it happened only after installing textures mods... Anyone can help please ?
