  1. Hello, I haven't played Skyrim in a while and have noticed that Complete Crafting Overhaul (by headbomb) hasn't been updated in some time, and from the comments it seems to be incompatible with Dawnguard. While i appreciate the re-balance and changes made by headbomb in CCO, my only true wish is to be able to upgrade any armor to legendary (fur, hide , leather), which can't be done in vanilla. Are there other similar mods that does this?
  2. My dream power is the impossible mod of either: Return to Cyrodii, l to convince their Jarls and crown yourself as the new Emperor, with the help of the Blades OR Invasion of Thalmor, to sabotage, assassinate key figures, or even better launch a genocide to obliterate the Dominion Loyalists Either one works for me, I just want to see a large scale Thalmor panic, or its destruction in any possible way  But it won't come true because it will require a studio-sized team to mod all these...
  3. Agreed. Not that I really want to back up Bethesda, but put yourself into their shoes. You can choose to "screw up" modders but have a much more stable game for the majority of people who just want a better vanilla game (Especially console players!) or You can make a patch that doesn't screw up modders, provided that Bethesda would have to check Steam Workshop and every other known TES community periodically, which can potentially make the patch never get finished. Do you think the latter is reasonable?
  4. OK I got the answer on my own, and it's something that I least expected, after hours of re-installing and moving, deleting mod files... :wallbash: It's the resolution. Because I play on a laptop, I play in Low Quality Windowed mode to minimize heat as possible. When I switched languages, I was asked to change the graphics setting once again, which I had already forgotten. So I chose 16:9 at 800 X 450, where now I remembered it was used to be 4:3 at 800 X 600 And that was the cause. Everything is now back to normal at 4:3 Scared the f*** out of me when a clean install didn't help. :yucky: Why would the resolution affect the proper functioning of console commands!? Anyone doesn't mind to verify and see if the page up/dn keys can properly scroll through console texts in your game when played at 800 X 450 for me please? [edit PS: 16:9 at 1280 X 720 also works but doesn't fit on my laptop, not sure about 16:10 1024 X 640 but I think it's safe to assume it works. It's just 800 X 450 and 800 X 500 are questionable /edit]
  5. I am not sure why this is happening, but when I open console, i am unable to scroll through texts via page up/down keys (no response) The mods that I have installed so far are just hair packs, CBBE, crafting overhaul, facial tweaks, and some armor, which I suppose that it's unlikely for any of them to ever mess with console commands ? One major thing I did was that I was curious of the Japanese dubbed voice so I switched and downloaded the voice files by switching the Skyrim's language setting via Steam. I haven't reverted back to see what happens yet, but if the Japanese VO screws up console, how come Japanese players don't seem to have the same problem? If I were to restore it back to English, anyone have ideas what files govern subtitles and voices? I would like to back them up so I don't need to re-download them when I want to switch language again.
  6. Obviously I have never been to Bethesda, heck I don't even know where they are located  I have no idea where the following imagination came from  ___________________ It starts with me standing inside some random old, mouldy apartment from the 50's Right in front of me is a small living room with no one there and a small, dark corridor with a very dim lamp. Walking past the corridor, I see a staircase leading to what appears to be the basement but has no doors other than an antique wall clock. Moving the clock's needle's manually to 6:30 opens a secret door that leads to the real TES studio Once inside, I see 20~30 computers with programmers working like as if they are embedded into the computers themselves: no talking, no movement. Aside from that, there are some individual office rooms for higher ranking directors or designers. Sneaking into one of them, I see some guy with two monitors, who is playing Solitaire on one monitor and drawing some concept arts on the Skyrim city of Solitude. One of the room reads "Goods Store", and what's in there is very chaotic; filled with things such as food, books, s** toys, plastic models kits, a pile of PC parts, and some weird signboards with the Japanese words "Calamari" (イカ) "Fried Noodles" (やきそば) "Coke" (コーラ)on them As I approached counter, the Caucasian store owner welcomed me with: "Everything is for sale here! If I have a sister, I'd sell her in a second!" ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ... And this was where it ended and I woke up, confused :psyduck: I have no idea why I had this dream, and why the heck I was visiting this imaginary Skyrim Studio  I didn't remember having accidentally joined the Thieves' Guild in my dream world either :ninja: I hope this isn't some sort of symptoms that suggest me I should go see a doctor? :ohdear:
  7. With all those new weapons out there, I am wandering if it's possible to change the power attacks and wielding animation of one and only one specific weapon? Say for example, when you equip the Blades of Chaos from God of War, you can execute some moves that Kratos has used in the GOW game, but the animation of other sword weapons remain the same. ... Or does the system recognize only one type of animation and power attack at a time, and changing one of them will change everything of that weapon category?
  8. It would also be awesome if someone can make (WWS) Whirlwind Sprint usable in mid-air, and able to attack during WWS ! That way we'll have way more acrobatic ways to glide between buildings and the terrain
  9. Hi, is it true that daggers don't count as swords and Bladesman Perk don't work with daggers? If that's true, if someone doesn't mind making a small mod making it categorized as sword... ?:ohdear: I don't really like the idea of dagger = stealth kind of thought, because I imagine my character as a Jester who attacks with sheer speed to overwhelm opponents  (in my mind of course :whistling: )
  10. After seeing things like DMC Virgil's Yamato and FF7 Cloud's Buster Sword in the Nexus, I wander if it is possible to create weapon specific attack animation? For example, let's take FF7 Cloud's Buster Sword as an example, make its normal wielding animation similar to what is seen in FF7 or Crisis Core. But only when Buster Sword is equipped, not replacing default weapons' wielding animation, hence "weapon-specific" . Also, it would be cool if we can have weapon-specific power attacks too, in the case of Buster Sword, probably something like this: forward: Braver backward: Blade Beam left: Meteor Rain right: Cross Slash neutral: Omnislash If this can be done, maybe we can also go on to create many interesting quests on where or from whom your characters learned to fight with a specific weapon! Yeah, just daydreaming of course... :ohdear: we don't even know how much we can do with the creation tool yet...
  11. If you don't mind me borrowing this thread and add a third  Is there anyway to enable actions in mid-air so that Whirlwind Sprint can be used more acrobatically? :ninja: Whirlwind Sprint reminds me of an old Squaresoft PlayStation action game called Soukaigi in the late 90's The characters in that game can make a short dash that looks very similar to Whirlwind Sprint, except it can also be used in mid-air
  12. Nope, my game is vanilla. Neither restarting Skyrim nor Win7 (64bit) help  Using the current version, but my game was bought late so I don't know about 1.0~1.1 :ohdear: If there is anything else, it's that my laptop is an older model (Radeon 5470M) and uses low~medium graphic settings.
  13. My character animation when using a forge is glitched... in a hilarious way  here is the video that someone else posted on youtube: This is exactly what is happening to my game, except I am playing on a laptop, not on a 360. I tried a little search in the Nexus and I couldn't find a similar topic, does this mean very few people have this problem? :pinch:
  14. This is exactly what I am interested in! Definitely want to see throwing weapons in the game! It would look nice with Assassin's Creed costumes  Other than that, I also wander if it's possible make a mod to throw normal weapons, whether currently equipped or in the inventory, at the enemy?
  15. I love cartoons and Japanese anime, but apparently Bethesda prefers realism more than anything else... I want to see those "unnatural" hair and eye colours back! :wallbash: I'll be very grateful if someone could somehow break the char creation mechanism and slip in more colour options... I really miss my green haired gal from Oblivion :ohdear:
