Evaluate your anti-malware programmes. Uninstall any useless ones or, if that doesn't work, switch off all anti-malware programmes during mod installation. This did the trick for me! ;-)

I have found yet another possible solution! This worked for me atleast. I uninstalled ByteFence Malware, some kind of anti-malware program that somehow found its way in my computer (while installing some other program). My advice: evaluate your anti-malware/anti-virus programmes and see if switching them off or uninstalling (some of) them works!!
