  1. Pardon the thread necromancy but I came across this thread while trying to troubleshoot the issue myself and thought Iâd post a possible resolution in case others come across this thread. For me, the issue seemed to be triggered when I used the âtfcâ console command in the middle of shifting into beast form. I was able to fix the issue by waiting a day and shifting back into â then out of â beast form while leaving the camera in the default beast mode perspective.
  2. xDirtyxSkunkx, thanks a lot. That actually worked. rastafariel, that's a separate issue that's been pretty well documented and is, fortunately, easier to get around (google "skyrim miraak glitch"). The workaround is essentially to just not get in between Miraak and the dragon, and don't kill the dragon yourself.
  3. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when running the main quest in the Dragonborn DLC, I read a black book to go into Apocrypha -- no problem. I go through the quest stages or "chapters" -- no problem (except for the end of the Summit, which is a separate thread). But when I finish and am ready to return, clicking on the book to return to Solstheim results in this message: "You are unable to concentrate on what you're reading" (screenshot attached). I assumed this was an error in the game, thinking combat was ongoing, but this happens in EACH Apocrypha map for all the different portions of the quest. Reloading doesn't help. Starting from the beginning doesn't help. The only way "out" is to die. Yet, for some reason, dying in Apocrypha returns me to where I was back on Solstheim with the quest still completed (maybe that's normal?). Anyone else run into this? Any thoughts? (Given the interaction option labeled "to solstheim", I can't believe this is the way it's supposed to work.)
  4. Same. Although, using the word "float" made me think of the Telvanni mushroom tower. I couldn't float in there and had to use "tcl" to get up to the top. Related?
  5. I'm having exactly the same problem. Used the noclip console command to find him underneath the middle pool, but haven't been able to do anything to "fix" it. Someone had recommended setting Miraak to "noclip", but that didn't work for me -- he continued to just stand there. So, like you, I tried the "kill" command, which had no effect whatsoever. Sounds like this and the "stuck in ethereal" issue have been bugs since the DLC was released for the 360 and, guess what, Bethesda hasn't done diddly about it. :wallbash: I'm thinking we need an unofficial community patch.
  6. I think I'm having this same problem -- I give the book to Storn, he stands up, talks with Frea a little while he walks to a new spot in front of the great hall, he says he's ready to read the book, then just stands there, looking around. I tried blasting him with Unrelenting Force to see if he was stuck, but no luck. Actually, I encountered a similar problem in this playthrough with Discerning the Transmundane when Septimus was supposed to read the book. Never had that particular problem before the Dragonborn DLC install, so I had guessed it was a conflict between the Dragonborn DLC and the mods I'm running, but if this fixes it, I'll be thrilled. I, too, would love it if you post a link to the .esm once it's up. Thanks for having the initiative to look into this and fix it!
  7. As is, yes, it seems very limited. Every house starts as a small house. To that, you can add the main hall and convert the original small house into an "entry way". Then, to the main house, you have three wings and three options for each wing. IIRC, the east wing has the armory and the library tower. If you want both, you're out of luck -- you can only add those to the east wing. Same scenario with the options for the other wings. And yes, furniture for the rooms is preselected and has predetermined locations. Now, with all of that in mind, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the excellent PC modding community is able to take Hearthfire and turn it into something really awesome once they get their hands on it. Time will tell.
