  1. I was able to resolve the issue by removing "Genesis Unleashed" from my load order - the time at which I added the mod and the fact that it only seemed to affect dungeons made this the most likely candidate. I am still completely stumped as to what in that mod would cause my character model to disappear. I still haven't done a lot of testing on this yet, but unless I run into this issue again, I will just leave this here for others who might run into the same problem.
  2. Hey there, I have been encountering this issue for a few days now. Basically, when playing in 3rd Person, my player character model disappears (as in simply won't be rendered by the game) without the loss of any functionality. I can still fight, pick up things, and do everything else, but my character is not visible. This happens in specific areas, and when I step outside of these, my character will reappear without issue. I can also fix this problem by quicksaving and loading while invisible, which will fix the issue, but only until I run into the next area. So far, this has only happened in interior cells / dungeons. I will always run into this issue in the embershard mine, in the area around the forge. In some of the larger dungeons, I tend to run into the areas more sporadically - I can't really predict where those areas will be, but I suspect that this means, that loading the game will simply displace these areas, so it would depend on the locations where I would save and load the game. This only appears to happen to female player characters. I use the 3BBB CBBE body with SMP, and at first suspected SMP as the cause, but the problem persists after deactivating the hdtSMP64.dll, and without using anything using SMP physics (meaning no SMP hair, no items, wearing vanilla CBBE fur armor) Rather than saying that I am at my wits end, I simply have no idea where to start looking for the cause, due to the nature of how the problem manifests itself. I have tried google, and managed to find some posts about this issue (like https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7450391-character-becomes-invisible/ ) but none of those seem to provide any useful insights. Edit: I have also observed, that hanging around this area will cause my character to reappear by itself (was fiddling around with ENB settings until I randomly reappeared. Tried again, and it does not depend on any settings in ENB, but will happen after some time has passed.)
  3. Despite using ENB and crash fixes, I usually experience quite a few CTDs when playing Skyrim, especially while moving around outside. In general, when moving around Skyrim, the game will usually crash withing 1-2 hours. Those crashes don't appear to be caused by any particular events either, as they can happen at any time, and when jumping back in, they will not repeat in the same (or very similar) situation. While trying to debug this issue, I have found that if I have the windows task manager running in the background, my game becomes stable. And not simply "I feel like I crashed a bit less today" stable, but "my savegame has 40+ hours and I haven't crashed even once" stable. I first observed this about 2-3 years ago, and put it down to some mystic voodoo stuff about my PC being old and weird. Then I got another PC, and I made the same observation. Then I formatted that PC from win10 to win7 (because of the old memory limit bug for DX9 games in win10) and made the same observation. And now I got a shiny new PC, and it is still the same. This is not simply a magic fix though: the downside to running the task manager appear to be massively increased loading screen times. My game is situated on an SSD M2 hard drive, so I get a little annoyed when it takes me about 30 seconds to enter breezehome. Now on to my questions: Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any idea why the windows task manager would help? (I would assume it somehow helps Skyrim manage its memory, but I thought crashfixes' "UseOSMemoryAllocator" took care of that for me) CrashFixPlugin.ini: enblocal.ini I have tried finding some information on this topic even back when I first noticed it years ago, but was unable to find anything. I would be grateful to anyone for pointing me in the right direction.
  4. Yes, I meant that I am using the Inside Build. I am already using the Load Game CTD Fix. I was able to load an earlier game, and have managed to proceed without running into the same problems as before. Apparently, having the task manager open will (for some reason) lead to errors, that also appear to corrupt my savegames. It's easy to avoid, if this was, in fact, the cause.
  5. Hey there, I have been having some trouble with a runtime error occurring shortly after loading any savegame. Since the crash only happens after dying and loading the game by autoload, it's rather difficult to track down the actual moment the problem started, but I only noticed after more than 6 hours of playtime and after becoming the Thane of Whiterun for killing the first dragon, after which it happens constantly. (I did die a lot, even before this point) The game doesn't ALWAYS crash, but there is about a 50% chance. And rather than a CTD, I encounter a C++ Runtime Library error, reading "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.". I have already tried to reset the C++ installation from the Skyrim/VCRedist/ file, with no result. I am running the game with an ENB, and I use the memory allocation fix from the 'crash fixes' plugin. Apart from that, I use windows 10, with the (beta version) of the Falls Creators Update, that fixes the DX9 memory limit. Considering the error only occurred after a specific moment, I would assume that there might be some bad script mucking about, but as far as I know, those would typically result in a CTD, and not a runtime error message.
  6. Good day! I am very particular about the games difficulty. I usually run the game with a combination of "Player Knockout - Respawn at bed" ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78477/? ) and "Only save when resting" ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/70760/? ), to add more punishment to dying, other than hitting F9. Recently, I have thought of switching to "Dead is Dead" ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60179/? ). Along with these, I tend to use a mod to unlevel the game zones, of which I have about 4 different mods by now, which I use in different load orders. The big problem with these is, that everyone has their own idea of how dangerous any given zone should be. Yesterday, I did my first test with Dead is Dead, and headed inside White River Watch. I took out Ulfr the Blind, and found out that he was level 9 with the console. I was level 5, so it seemed fine, but was then immediately ended by a level 25 bandit. I know that most mod authors that change encounter zone levels do put up a table of the changes they have made, but stopping to check online if you can handle a dungeon before heading in feels rather immersion breaking. What I would like, is a small mod, that allows you to check the level of the encouter zone you are currently in. Maybe as a lesser power, or maybe as a short notification once you enter a dungeon. This could also be done semi-immersively, with only a general indication (like, if enemies are more than 5 levels higher than you, you get a message "You sense danger" or something of that nature). Is there perhaps already a way of getting this information via the console that I don't know of? Does anyone else have any sort of solution to this, other than check and run away?
