  1. As a modeler, the simplest way would be to make a big ball, then map a high rez texture of earths landscape over it, then have another big ball arround that one, with a texture map of clouds on it. Domes can also work. The "land" bubble and " cloud bubble" could move independently of each other and create the illusion of motion on the ship and of the atmosphere. I did this for a short movie I made and it is quite convincing. At that point, simply position the two bubles (or domes) where the player could not see enough of them to see that they are just massive objects in a massive cell.
  2. I am using mods. Mods are sorted with BOSS. I am using FOSE, FOSE is the latest version. Fallout 3 is updated to version 1.7. Now that that is out of the way. Dose anyone know why my game crashes once the "Death Cam." sequence ends? Its not a big deal I just reboot the game and load a new save, bu it IS a little annoying to have to do that. It is also occasionally crashing at random, but that is probably mod conflict. The on death crash is consistent 100% of the time. Its actually sort of a neat thing though as if the game says, "You died. Now start over."
  3. Install the Apocalypse armory. you wont see a super mutant with a hunting rifle again. try an M60
  4. sounds kick ass! all I can do is use the geck and do textures, but if you need that message away
  5. Ok, first copy everything from the location you downloaded it to, and paste it into the folder labeled Data the directory you installed fallout into. (Usually its C:/Program Files/Bethsuda Softworks/Fallout 3/Data" From there you can either open the Fallout Mod Manager (Download link is here), or the generic launcher and activate the .esp file. If that dose not work, simply update to the latest version of fallout (patch is here) and try to run the game again. Also make sure you look at the requirements for a mod, if it requires any of the DLCs and you don't have them, get the DLC(s) or the mod will not work, causing crashes, or odd things like missing weapon and armor parts.
  6. Requestion information on how to create a quest, and how to have an NPC give said quest. I would like the "Lets see how good you are" quest, to force the player to complete the Relies Ranger's quest. I must be given by an NPC in Morarties Saloon. (something along the lines of "We dont take just anyone, go and get a reference from Relie, then talk to me again.") After completing Relies rangers, then the NPC will add you into a fraction. How do I do this?
  7. Most head gear only has an effect of 1 - 5 points anyways, vanilla clothing is just that, clothing. It is meant to look prity. The only real value in it is DR. which for head gear is usually only 1 - 5. Its not quite worth it in my opinion, so I just found a hat I liked and kept it. If you are that desperate for the small amount of DR or skill bonus, just use this consul command "player.setAV [skill/attribute name] [amount]" for DR it should be the same thing ie "player.setAV DR [amount]" Like a mod this will only have to be "activated" once.
  8. Another problem is that my PC crashes every 40 seconds. Is this the product of saving in an area and then modifying it, and reloading the game?
  9. Poser 7 is JUST a tool to pose and animate 3d models created in other programs. I recommend Hexigon for modeling. If you want to pose and animate though Poser 7 is an excellent program and I have used it with no complaints for years now.
  10. umm... you could just you know, take the hat off if you don't like the look.
  11. I have started work on a mod that adds the following: A new fraction (which will be join able, but for females only) A massive new vault a quest Or a challenging place to attack for high level characters. As of current the vault is nearly complete, needing only one more room built. It is quite extensive, one of if not the largest location(s) in game. In one room is an indoor garden, and in that garden is where I have my first problem. I would like to have a mist effect in only that section of that area (to simulate some kind of biosphere system). How do I do this?
  12. Its ok now I found the problem. Somehow the view distances for everything were set to zero. A simple reset of the graphics settings and all is working. Feel free to help me figure out what caused that.
  13. The problem: Animations on some creatures and some NPC's will not function. The creature/NPC are frozen in one pose and levitate around, or preform physics defying bends and twists, sometimes sinking through the ground/floor. Player animations function normally. Sometimes and NPC/Creature's animation works just fine, then with a look away and look back, it is "paralyzed" Uninstalling and reinstalling has not worked. Updating repeatedly has not worked. Archive invalidation is invalidated. Also what is the fix.
  14. I could model her in but a few molments. Sadly, I do not know how to make the file type I use (.obj) ino a .nif. Nor do I know how to create ta figure rigged for use in Oblivion. Sad isnt it? I can create full 3d movies, yet I cant make a simple model for a video game.
  15. That is what I meant, the arrows could be made to only ignore armor rating from metal armors (and glass) but the effect simply dosen't have an effect on leather armor (and possibly chainmail.)
