  1. that sounds like a monumental task mate! :S

I get your point with Gunners vs Lore - they did use to be friendlies, however, i think another faction as focus, might make the mod idea more credible, and fall into more people liking :)

awesome idea tho - true to the Vault Dweller! ^^ now we're only short a slaver career, then we're back in 1997! xD haha...

Working on a Lore mod myself, but its purely literature, books, holotapes and such, ment to educate the players who havent played F1 and F2 (i havent played BoS and tactics for some reason! :S -must find them somewhere! ^^ )

  2. read somewhere that some1 was using nvidia 3ds -or something- and the 3D-Builder that comes with Windows 10, to create mesh's - could that be even a bit true!? or have i read lies and misdirections!?

would be nice tho- if 3D-builder somehow could be used to create the 3D objects for the geck ^^

  3. Honestly, I feel like the world and the people and their entitled attitude is disgusting.

Do you like Fallout 4? Then you should be on your hands and knees with humbleness and appreciation that Bethesda exists at all and they made a game such as Fallout 4. Let alone that they are putting out a mod to allow the average Joe to make something really cool for their game.

Its like spending 7 years of your life building a classic hot rod, just the way you want it and then handing it over to a community center and saying "Do whatever you want and I'll pay for it."

That's incredibly generous and unselfish and staggeringly amazing for game developers to do.

couldn't agree more! i'm looking for "gardening" news several times a day - but im not going on about all sorts of irellevant crap - stick to the point! the game is awesome, i've played fallout since Fallout arrived 1st time - own em all in original shapes - i stuffed 75€ in a envelope when F4 was announced for the sole purpose of buying it! preordered it once it was possible!...

play the game - Honor the creator! Ad' Victorium!.... Oh, and yes, the brotherhood is the good guys! screw the screws outta the "robo-brains!" (maybe except for 2 wich i wont say here in case a new player aint got that far! ^^ )

Hail Elder Maxson! both the High Elder from Fallout 1 (John Maxson) and Fallout 4 (Arthur Maxson) -Last living descendant of "Roger Maxson, the 1st High Elder, and grandfather to John Maxson" just if any1 wanted a bit of Lore! :)

  4. I just want my settlements to stop going up in flames without warning, then I can just relax and play.

And I would like new things from the DLC such as more guns, power armor paint jobs, additional settlement upgrades and of course new expansions. And by expansions, I really mean going to Canada and fighting mutant moose with an energy weapon powered by radioactive maple syrup whilst trying to stop a war between the Enclave and Canadian Mounties.

Though I think I would be alright if my settlements were safe.

haha! gotta be the best post I've read today! :D I vote HELL YES to those ideas! :P

and btw- the "settlement up in flames" issue - lots of different nexusmods fix that problem :)

    Vault Dweller since 1997-

  5. What BBEN said is right. No performance improvement in video games but a noticeable improvement in boot times. That's about the only reported performance increase i've seen mentioned.

i've seen them on my own pc, so im gonna trust my eyes still :P

and the boot time on Win8, Win8.1 and Win10 isnt much appart. but the content availible in 8 and 8.1 vs 10, are eons appart! (in windows 10' bennefit! hehe )

  6. Does anyone know if the the Mart's Mutant Mod deathclaws are any tougher than "stock" FO3, because in the basic "stock" FO3, deathclaws are pathetically weak.

Not talking about Matriarch, Enclave Deathclaw, or baby deathclaw, just asking about regular deathclaws.

I've read through the MMM readme but didn't see anything mentioning that they added any toughness or perks to the basic deathclaws, unforunately.

If anyone has the answer I'll be thankful

as i've just finished Fallout New Vegas not to long ago, i remember them Deathclaws with a sorta fear in my mind!

but when i met 1 in F3 - it died from 2nd hit in the head hunting rifle that was a crit hit - was a bit dissapointed tbh! hehe - perhaps there's a mod that fix's this- cuz in Fallout 1 and 2 - they were a fierce and brutal enemy!!! :S

  7. Based on benchmark testing by several sites - there is very little performance gain if any in going from Win 8.1 to 10. Your game is not going to run any faster or with higher fps. As with any new OS, there will be bugs. There is no rush to change, your free upgrade is good for a year. Do it when it is convenient for you not in a big rush. I plant to wait a while to let the early adopters find the bugs. I did jump right into Win7 when it first came out and didn't regret it - there were very few bugs in it.

    1st->

he said he was running WinXP - that alone, is MORE than enough reason 2 upgrade to Win10.

    2nd->

I've been running Win10 for 6 month's (Technical Preview) without ANY bigger issues - and no notable issues, it runs FAR better than any other windows edition, and as a side note- Win8 and Win8.1 is designed for tablets - they're missing loads of key background process' that's sorta nessesary for a regular computers normal runtime usage - that's why you dont get a very much higher benchmark result - but the all over performance of Win10 is (unquestionably) faster and smoother than older versions! perhaps you just havent been digging thru the system to spot the missing elements that make it use less system resources - and that way make it seem to run games better :)

Win10, upgrade, no questions asked in my opinion! :P

  8. I'm Running Windows 10 Enterprise on my Lenovo T530 Labtop, and Windows 10 Home on my MM-Vision gaming PC, and this is how i made Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas work on both computers ->->

Only problem I had was finding the correct .ini file 2 edit because I've placed the game on another partition, than the standard steam folder ^^
any problems making this work, drop comments please, so others with same problems can spot the post

  9. Hey guys...very mild computer person here. I've got enough knowledge to "get by" and I usually stick to watching Gopher's youtube playlists when it comes to modding. SO, without his excellent guidance, I am at my whit's end trying to get Fallout 3 to work. I just don't know what to do. It crashes no matter what I do...steam launcher....direct exe launcher from the game folder....FOSE....compatibility....nothing!

Can anyone shed some light on anything I need to do?

    THank you!

Windows 10 solution - for my part, i didnt need more than the windows live game client from microsoft in my post's link on my Windows 10 home, but both my Technical Preview and my Enterprise needed bot the Windows live games, .dll file and the fallout.ini fix in order to work. but that's on a labtop, wich might b the reason -

link 2 my earlier post ->

    Issey-

  10. call me crazy but I notice a 10fps increase in windows 10 both in FO3 and NV compared to windows 8.1

wich is why ANYONE should just go ahead and swich them old world windows to the new world Windows 10 :D

its remarkable fast compared to other windows editions, and i've posted a thread with a Win10 fix for Fallout 3 already should your's fail to launch after upgrade :)
