  1. Ironically I was just reading up on a few programs today. I usually just delete the textures and meshes folders but alot of the time I ended up just deleting the skyrim file altogether! After reading up on a few, and your comment just now, I think I'm convinced. Thanks bud!
  2. UPDATE 8/24: The mod author has messaged me informing me that he will update the manual instructions when he can. Quote: "I didn't mention it because it was a recent addition where things got switched around and I must have forgotten." As it turns out the W.A.T.E.R mod has a compatibility issue with Skyrim HD. (This is refering to the HD texture mod in addition to the official DLC which I can only assume almost everyone uses) If you're using Skyrim HD FULL (4k version) you are only required to install 00 CORE. While if you are using Skyrim HD LITE (2k version), you need to install both 00 CORE and 90 Med Res. My friend informs me that he never had this issue. However, if you're a dinosaur like me and prefer to install manually then you might encounter this problem. However, chances are that most of you won't encounter this problem since you use nmm. My forum post if you want more info http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1083679-what-the-hell-is-causing-this/ I'll bump this every few days just to be sure everyone gets the picture, then I'll let this post die. Feel free to comment though.
  3. Final bump for the sake of preventing this from happening to anyone
  4. I finally managed to find the forum post. Turns out this is a bug with my SPECIFIC video card! I fixed it by going into enbseries.ini and changing: "WaitbusyRenderer=false" to "WaitbusyRenderer=true" However, if anyone else experienced something similar I'd love to hear how you fixed it!
  5. The only thing I can think of is to try using console commands to create an enchanted item with an insane amount of health-regen and how that affects them. (Obviously you'll have to use console to equip it on them)
  6. Currently in the process of re-installing Skyrim (for about the 6th time) and installing mods one at a time untill I can find the source of the problem. I suspect it to have something to do with project parallax, although I have no idea how that could possibly conflict with water. Consider this a bump
  7. So I have project enb and this bug happens quite often with NVIDIA users as I understand it. (I use Geforce GTX 660 TI) Basically in certan areas of dungeons and other interiors the enb bugs out and I get this awful green tint all over the screen. It goes away if I If I leave the area, look down/up, or tab-out of the game and tab-in again... only to reappear in other areas of the instance. Although moving at all allot of the time just makes it flicker. The top image is the bug in action, where I actually got it to behave long enough to take a screenshot. The bottom image is what is looks like if I turn off the enb with Shift+F12. http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/1_zps83962c7e.jpg http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/2_zps2b3447b4.jpg Now, I managed to find a forum topic that mentioned tweaking the skyrim .ini files to stop this bug. I tried it and it worked! However, I sadly lost my old .ini configuration. Anyone know how to tweak them to make this go away? EDIT: -inb4 someone asks if I installed patches/compatibility fixes.
  8. To be safe, you should try re-installing them in case you got a corrupted file. That texture is looking awfully bugged... Also if you've ever tried RCRN, uninstalled it, and are now using an ENB I had a similar problem that went away after a fresh install of the game.
  9. unless I read it wrong, in which case I think I just made a fool of myself and you've had it installed all along >.<
  10. I can't tell you how many times problems like this occur because the mod I downloaded was somehow incomplete. As much as a pain in the @** it may sound to be, you may want to try re-downloading the files you think are causing a problem and re-installing them. No guarantees but its worked for me before.
  11. Tried uninstalling Skyfalls and messing around with ini files to no avail. Updated desc with new findings.
  12. I know for a fact Skyrim HD and W.A.T.E.R are fully compatible. But I'm not so sure about Skyfalls since it is a reletivly new mod. I'll mess around with it and come back.
  13. I noticed you have the Climates of tamriel weather patch installed, but not the main files. Try first installing Climates Of Tamriel - V3-1 and any patches you may need for official dlc's [here] under "optional files" Then RE-install your Climates of Tamriel - Weather Patch Since this is a complete weather mod (and the only one you have installed), its most likely that it's causing this problem. Think of it like this: You have installed the Dawnguard dlc (aka your weather patch) but you don't even own Skyrim (Climates of tamriel mod). It just won't work
  14. Note: "SGeneralMasterMismatchWarning=One or more plugins could not find the correct versions of the master files they depend on. Errors may occur during load or game play. Check the "Warnings.txt" file for more information" May have been caused by me uninstalling "Bigger Trees" and loading an old save. Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefibs.ini
  15. EDIT: I have discovered what causes this! As it turns out, I've been using the skyrim HD texture replacer LITE to try and maximize fps. What I didn't know, is that you need to install the med-red file included in the W.A.T.E.R mod in order for W.A.T.E.R to work correctly with HD LITE. Since i've always used HD FULL it never even occurred to me that I would need to use the med res file included in water. it was never required to use any files other than "00 CORE" when using HD FULL, so naturally this went overlooked when I started using HD LITE. Thanks to anyone who helped out though! (I'll leave the rest of this post unedited so that people can see what effect this had) Check this out: http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/1_zps84048150.jpg Now im sure the popular response would be: "wow that looks cool!" What could possibly be wrong with this picture? Don't notice anything? nothing at all? How about the fact the water is not moving! In this image, it appears normal since we're viewing a lake. But lets move downstream... Looks pretty normal, the water seems to be flowing at the waterfall like it should be. http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/2_zps385ecd62.jpg Now lets look at what the water looks like at the bottom of the fall in the last image: http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/3_zps7624dfc9.jpg and further downstream: http://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/jordan7890_7890/4_zps592d1173.jpg This happens anywhere. Water just has no flow anywhere gravity is not present (anywhere there are no waterfalls, streams, whiterun canals etc) This looks very unnatural and immersion-breaking. I've re-installed many mods countless times in different orders and always get the same results each time... with the exception of unnaturally see-through water now and then. Before you ask for a complete list of mods... I have close to 200 (most of them quality of life mods, such as house add-ons). I WILL however, list the ones I have installed that (might) affect water textures/meshes. Forgive me if I list something that you KNOW does not affect water and thus gives you the urge to correct me. I know little of such matters. All files were installed manually 1. Unofficial High resolution patch (and all others) 2. SKSE (for SkyUi and RaceMenu) 3. Skyrim Mesh Improvement Mod Shadow stripping fix (note that I subscribed to this on worshop, then forgot about it and installed the nexus version) 4. Amidianborn landscape (Installed 1st) 5. Climates of Tamriel (all patches) (installed 2nd) 6. Project Parallax Vanilla Textures (installed 3rd) 7. SkyFalls - Distant Waterfall Overhaul (installed 4th) 8. Skyrim HD v1_5 LITE (installed 5th) 9. W.A.T.E.R (installed last) All settings on Ultra/Max. This will be the 3rd time re-installing Skyrim if I cannot fix this. The first 2 were caused by issues with SMIM. Just to be on the safe side I'll include my complete .ini's in the next post (note that I have Project enb installed) Thanks in advance! UPDATE: Seems that whatever is causing this is also deactivating the plugin for W.A.T.E.R that causes the blacksmiths troughs water to be animated
