Open your steam and go to Library > TESV > Right click and select properties > Local Files Tab > Revalidate Game Cache
Okay, now it says that 1 file failed and it's going to be re-validated, but how long does it take do download that 1 file?
-
If all else fails, you may need to clean install: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/906390-cleaning-skyrim-for-fresh-install/
Before that though, it could be that something got deleted. Try revalidating your game cache.
How do I re-validate my game cache?

Does this problem persist on a brand new game?
Just started a new game and spawned in some Daedric armor and it's still the same issue.

Try loading a save from before you installed the original armor mod and reinstall that mod first, just to make sure there are no lingering files.
I have just went though multiple saves and I still can't equip normal vanilla armor without the mod installed and I've also tried with the mod installed and still nothing.
The game continues to crash every time I try and equip the normal armor.
Any tips?

I was downloading some armor retexture mods for the vanilla armor and while testing one my game would constantly crash. So i uninstalled the mod, relaunched Skyrim and tried to equip the retextured vanilla armor and my game crashed again (Had multiple installed at the time and everything was working). So I uninstalled all my retexture mods for the normal armor and tried again, the game crashed again when trying to equip the armor even though I haven't got the mods installed.
I really don't understand what's happened and any help would be great.
Thanks.

When I try and download a mod from the Nexus it doesn't do anything and nothing comes up on the NMM. And I have downloaded a mod manually and it doesn't come up in the plugins section.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

The First thing is to make sure that you are running the latest version of NMM.
Next: Launch NMM, and in the upper right corner you will see a "Circular Arrow" icon. Select the small box next to it to expand the options, them select "Rescan Installed Games". NMM should then be able to find the paths itself, if you installed SSE in the default location.
Okay I have done that but now when I click on the "Download NMM" on a mod, then click continue with download, then Google Chrome says launch app and I click on launch. But then when I go to NMM the mod isn't in the download manager section.
Any tips?

When i open NMM it tells me to make pathways between Skyrim SE and NMM and i haven't got a clue on what to do. (I think it's for saving the Nexus mods in the Skyrim SE directory for them to work in game).
Any help is appreciated and if possible be descriptive to make it a little bit easier for me.
Thanks.

Okay then so I still can't equip the normal armor without the game crashing so I guess I'll have to do the cleaning thing?
