In response to post #29496840. I hardly think that's necessary, because 1. This is the Internet, and I doubt anybody cares, and 2. if they did care they'd at least warn me a bit. I've been shadowing the Nexus for five years, I know how things work here. 3. It's not like I've drastically changed anybody's life by 'accusing them of deleting a comment', it's not like Dante's going to die or he has cancer now (keeping private thoughts private). Even if I did get a warning and was unable to post or upload files, as an old wise man once said, nothing is permanent (even forum bans). Did you know that out of the 9,789,499 members on this site, at least 2,000,000 of them are banned, or have left and are never coming back? Back to the main point, if an apology is necessary, I'd rather it be requested by the moderator himself rather than some Internet vigilante playing Forum Hero (no offence meant). I have (mostly) good intentions, and I don't want to have to go back too the Steam Crapshop to upload mods there because of incompetent users. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to shut up before I say something I will regret later (probably already have). Hi, I'm looking for mod that lets me use any "preset", you know, hairstyles, etc. from any race in the character race menu. I know theres one that lets you use all the hairs, but I want one that lets me use the eyes from any race and the horned Argonian brow type with Khajiit so I can make a Khargonian sorta looking thing. I love how my comment about how we need less moderators and more modders was removed. Well actually we don't need less moderators, we just need...different ones that don't ban people for downright preposterous reasons. I think the most outrageous ban I've seen here was for somebody "trolling" when they were being completely honest, which happens here a lot. Maybe the moderators need more time off the computers. I've downloaded a mod that has a two handed sword. The NIF, as far as I've discovered, works with either hand. My issue is when I try to convert it to one hand. I can hold two of them, but it still appears as a greatsword in SkyUI and in-game. I can use it to block if set to left hand, and I can use spells in the left and still use it as a greatsword if I have it set to right hand. What am I doing wrong? This is for personal use, and if I upload it I will ask perms from the original author.

If you have Intel graphics (which I doubt) turn you general 3D settings to "performance" and turn all options to "application settings". If you have AMD graphics, put it to "balanced" or "medium". If you have nVidia, try turning vSync and AA, FXAA, FSAA, and all other anti-aliasing to 2x, and force mipmaps to trilinear. Try forcing your resolution to 800x600. Hope some of that helps. I know it does for my newer Vostro.

I have 2 laptops. One runs Skyrim fine. The other is a 10 year old Dell D820. Here's the situation: Oblivion, I get 20FPS with the commands tg, tt, tlb, distant land off, med textures, all other options off at 1280x720. Skyrim, I get 30-60 FPS (location dependent) at 800x600. This old Dell has a nVidia Quadro 120M @256MB and 1768MB with H/W reserved (RAM usage). It has an intel T7600 dual-core at 2.33GHz, 4MB L2 cache. Skyrim runs fine, Steam runs fine, Need For Speed runs fine. My problem, isn't running programs under Windows 7. My problem is power management. Without the 90 watt power adapter, the GPU draws so much power while playing any game that the laptop shuts off. I can't play for even 5 minutes without the 90W adapter. The battery is brand new. I cleaned the inside (refurb), cleaned the exterior (also refurb, isopropyl and wipes), and did a 450F GPU reflow. Display runs at 1920x1200. How do I stop the laptop from shutting off? I can't load Ubuntu because of this high-power issue, Ubuntu has no native 120M drivers. I start the live installation and it crashes on desktop. I managed decent performance on a D430 1.33 dual core, but this D820 is becoming a nuisance. Skyrim runs fine. Half Life 1 and 2 both run fine. Portal runs fine. The damn thing just shuts off. I have to pull the battery and hold the power button to get it on again. Posted from my Dell Latitude D820

I bring my laptop to work to use it when I'm on break (there is fast internet for downloading free games like TORCS and STK and stuff like that, Battle for Wesnoth, etc) but whenever I try to visit this site at work it says my ip is on your blacklist. I ran command prompt and then "ipconfig" and my IP address is not what the Nexus says it is. I work for a small-ish delivery company. I've attached a screenshot of CMD and Chrome for reference. I'm using whatever Chrome has been released, stable or not, and I have also not cleared my cookies for almost a year. I only started having problems about three weeks ago when a site I could access at work suddenly became blocked, I asked the network admin if she did anything and she said nothing's changed. Windows 7 Ultimate, SP1, all updates, Malwarebytes Beta, and a few ad blockers. I know that the Nexus uses advertising to survive (a strategy I recommend rethinking) but I cannot stand flashing blinking advertisements all over my screen. I'm using Adbblock Plus, and Adblock Super to cover the ones that Plus doesn't cover and vice versa. I'm also using Doge Ad Blocker, which covers the placeholders for advertisements with Doge memes. It's harmless and had good reviews, so I had to get it. Plus, DOGE! I have attached the image.

Well, here's the thing. I'm pretty much a nervous wreck at work all the time, and one of my only outlets is walking down the street practicing different 'miniscenes' with different voices. I don't really like my job anyway. Sometimes I go under a bridge and sit by the train tracks in self loathing practising more scenes with different voices, and sometimes people gather around and ask me to improv a story with the voices. I've found that this helps at work, these stories that I do with the different voices and personalities. The problem is I don't have any access to a studio, and I can never find a private space, whatnot with my g/f or my drunk buddy always being on my couch. I just feel that these voices I do are worth something, even if that worth is measured in downloads. I'm too nervous all the time to submit anything to places like Pixar or Dreamworks, so I wanted to offer something here. If anybody needs voices for a mod, if my anxiety doesn't catch up I'd be glad to do vice acting. Sorry I don't have anything recorded now, like i said there's always somebody around and I'm too anxious to kick my best friend out of my house. My g/f would be scared by the strange voices in the middle of night, and probably call the cops or something but I'll try to escape to the woods with my laptop and read scripts in voices (I have a 16 hr batter, I have a Haswell v3 chipset). Doing these things really helps my anxiety at work, and doing these mods would probably help my relationship with my g/f. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time came out in 1998 (the 0.98B version in 1996) and the music is fantastic. The music/OST has been released on YouTube. I used a YouTube download-er to download the soundtrack (I don't know if that's piracy, please warn me if it is so I can delete the files) and placed the appropriate songs in the appropriate Oblivion music folders. I saw a mod on Game Spy's Planet Elder Scrolls before they died (or maybe it was here on the Nexus long before I registered) of some Zelda mod music from a different Zelda game. I wanted to release what I have done here on the Nexus. Would I have to ask Nintendo for permissions to release it here, or have the copyrights and licenses expired? I'm trying to be careful here.

I have the first one. Another question. If I enchant armor that lets me have more powerful enchantments, can I do that in a loop/ Like if armor gives me a 10% enchanting bonus, can I use that and get a 20%, then use that to get 35%, and so on?

I am currently attempting to disenchant as many items as possible, and the sorting feature to get rid of the DisallowEnchanting is extremely limited in the CK. Can anybody provide me a list of mods for Skyrim that allow me to disenchant all vanilla items?

Is there a mod that removes the armor limits for leveling? I keep wondering why, deep in Arkved's Tower, amidst daedra and everywhere else where very rare items should exist, are things like "Fur Helmet of Fire Resistence" and not "Daedric Curiass of Grand Feather". My character's class and skills reduce the need for a curiass, but I hope you get what I am attempting to say. Get rid of level requirements for higher leveled loot. Make Daedric loot as unique as the artifacts you get from Daedric Princes. Ebony Boots of Speed should be a reward, not an Iron Sword of Embers. I've got OOO with slower leveling and would like a bit more variety and stuff.

Yes, I have a lot of experience with the Oblivion Construction Set and some of the Skyrim Creation Kit. I just don't publish my mods because they are all cheat items (like a helmet that boosts Smithing to 10000000000). I never said it was going to be easy, and I also said that if permissions were granted it might be possible. That aside, what do you think of my idea of using math for textures and random building generation?

From the Shivering Isles DLC in Oblivion. I know that you can't port things from one Bethesda game to another, so of course it's going to all have to be custom. I would love a sword that changes personalities when the sun goes down. In Oblivion when you enchant armor it becomes unequipped, and Dawnfang/Duskfang did that as well when 'transforming'. In Skyrim, however, the armor stays where it is on your body. I think that would also happen to Dusk/Dawnfang.

A friend of mine in India is working on trying to convert Oblivion to an Android application using the Unreal engine, but he hasn't made much progress. He's using the same processor that's in the Droid Turbo, I think. I have not heard from him in recent weeks as I assume he's been busy. Somebody that he knows modified Half Life to be used on the NVIDIA Shield.

I honestly think that although the user-name 'Paul' is probably taken it was probably banned some time ago, in which this case the user-name could easily have been recycled. "BlindJudge" seems a bit...I don't know. Off....for a moderator. Something like "Paul the Impaler" would have sufficed, or even "Paul the Great" or "King Paul VIII"...BlindJudge seems like an unusual choice for a moderator's user-name. I had to manually add that into Dragon Naturally just for this post.

Some people have made custom DirectX 9 DLLs for Skyrim. I use two, but I was wondering if there were any more to boost performance. I have Skyrim Startup Memory Editor, set to ~800MB, because as described 1GB crashes the game. I also have an antilag DLL, which reduces input lag by reducing the read-ahead rate, by default is 3 or 4, I have it set to 1 and max 30FPS, because Halo 2 and company works the best when locked at 30FPS and lower. Having it limited to 30FPS reduces the strain on my NVidia chip, lowers heat emissions caused by strain, and makes thing smoother and reduces stu-u-u-ut-t-t-tttttter. Anyways, are there any more besides antilag and memory editors?

Is there a mod that enables combat actions while in the air, like in Oblivion? I would like to be able to jump off things and swing my sword at the same time, or cast spells while dodging blows from an enemy.
