  1. Yes, I have. In fact, that was the first thing I did after installing it on Windows 7.
  2. Hello there, I recently installed Fallout 3 GOTY and the game's completely un-modded. I even removed the Unofficial patch because it kept making the game crash when I wanted to exit Rivet City. Everything runs fine (as in, Fallout 3 fine, with the odd crash here and there, but nothing repeatable) besides this one that's been bugging me since the beginning of the game: every time I get close to Paradise Falls, the Germantown Police HQ etc. (that area, basically), the game simply crashes to desktop. Every single time. As I said, everything's vanilla except for the ini. I tweaked a few things, namely the uGridsToLoad line. It's 9 instead of 5 and that has caused me no problem whatsoever in the past. The other usual suspects (interior and exterior cell buffers have been increased, the cache as well, but nothing to insane levels. Everything is pretty normal in there). I have searched and searched for a solution but I simply can't find any. The Unofficial patch does nothing either so I don't know where else to turn. I also tried reinstalling the game to no avail. If anyone's curious about OS and install directory, even though I don't think that's the problem, it's Win7 64-bit (Home Premium) and it's not installed in Program Files. If anyone has experienced a similar problem or knows of a way to fix it, I'd really appreciate it.
  3. I've been tinkering with this idea for some time now and finally decided to act a while ago. El Paredón presents The Soggy Bottoms Boys Bendu Olo, a Dunmer "businessman" tasks a ragtag group of adventurers to retrieve some Dwemer artifacts from the only Dwemer ruin in Cyrodiil, Volengzanch (working name, subject to change). Acting on behalf of a collector in Skyrim, Bendu directs the three men to a small abandoned shack in the Blackwood swamps where they can set up their base. Those three men had no idea of how a small treasure hunt in an abandoned Dwemer facility could go so wrong. A small quest for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Soggy Bottoms Boys sees the player finding out the fate of the cursed thieves and exploring a Dwemer facility, said to be the only one left in existence in Cyrodiil. New locations, enemies, a new set of armor and weapons and last, but not least, new clutter! Rejoice as you collect rusty cogs, tubes, coherers and cups to adorn your abode! This will be complemented by a small subquest to be played inside the Dwemer facility and it won't appear on your journal. Don't worry if you miss it; you can visit the facility any time once you have the key. Also, a Dwemer puzzle box will make an appearance but this time it's you who'll have to solve it. You will be retracing the steps of Rolf, a Nord Barbarian with Altmer ancestors, Eolin, a Bosmer Thief with Redguard ancestors and Im-Leet, an Argonian Battlemage who doubles as a Dwemer scholar (though he's not the kind that just sits around reading books; he gets down to business as well); you will travel through ruins and caves to make your way to the lost Dwemer outpost, in search of the big prize. Will you suffer the same fate as the three adventurers or will you succeed?
