  1. I suppose not since you need to have both games installed for the mod to work. Anyway thanks very much for the help, appreciated
  2. Wouldn't that make Requiem for the Capital Wasteland illegal?
  3. The esms of fallout3 and falloutnv by themselves take up 8.3gig worth of bsa files, its a massive amount of information and the GECK simply cant handle it all before windows 7 cuts it off. I have an AMD 1090T (3.2Ghz, 6 cores), 4 gig of ram and a 6900series AMD video card. Having a faster computer would allow me to load up slightly more information before windows 7 pulls the plug, but it wouldn't possibly be enough to handle both esms in time. This is why, as i said, I either need a way to stop windows 7 from killing the program, a way to stop the GECK from freezing while loading the esms, or a way to move all the weapons and ammo in fallout 3 into a different smaller file.
  4. Unfortunately those 2 commands only effect your computer when your shutting it down, logging out, or killing a program from the task manager. 'WaitToKillAppTimeout' - Determines how long the system waits for user processes to end after the user attempts to log off or to shut down" 'HungAppTimeout' - Specifies how long the system waits for user processes to end after the user clicks the End Task command button in Task Manager I tried adding them to my registry with values of 50 to test out whether they had any effect under these circumstances, but they didn't change anything.
  5. Yeah I have a bunch of times and it's never worked, and i'm pretty sure that's exactly why. It would be great if i could basically stop windows 7 from reacting, or force it to wait longer. If i cant stop the GECK from freezing, or stop windows from reacting, then i'm gonna need some other way of importing a bunch of fallout 3 gun and ammo information into another mod without having to load the fallout 3 esm into the GECK.
  6. I'm having constant problems with GECK crashes. Basically, when i'm loading whatever selection of esps and esms im using for a GECK session (it doesn't matter which ones i'm using), the GECK ALWAYS freezes about 5 seconds into loading the content. In the background the GECK clearly still works because most of the time the GECK suddenly unfreezes about 15 seconds later and everything has been magically loaded, however this isn't always the case. From what i can tell, windows basically gives a frozen program a set period of time to correct itself before putting up the "<Insert program here> has stopped working" window, and shutting it down entirely. Unfortunately the mod that i'm trying to make at the moment uses a lot of resource material from multiple esm's and i can't get around this problem by loading fewer files. If anyone would know how to - a) Stop the GECK from freezing EVERY time i load something, b) Stop my windows 7 64 bit from forcing the program to crash after a set period of time. c) Or failing those 2, move all the weapon, 1st person weapon, and ammo files from the games primary master file into a separate smaller master file I would be very grateful. Further Information - I'm using the 1.4 NV GECK I DO run it as administrator (by right clicking the exe and selecting run as admin from the dropdown menu) I AM making a Requiem for the Capital Wasteland compatibility mod, meaning that I AM loading content from both New Vegas esms, and fallout 3 esms, however I'm sure this isn't happening as a result of trying to load fallout 3 esms in the NV Geck, i've already done so several times and this problem only occurs when i'm loading enough information at once regardless of whether some of that information is from fallout 3 content or not. I don't click on the GECK when it freezes (clicking on a frozen program accelerates windows response to it, however even if i don't click anything windows still crashes the program after a set period of time). I have left the window alone for over an hour after the "Garden of Eden Creation Kit has stopped working" window pops up (I went and ate dinner), it doesn't help. I've watched how much memory the GECK takes up as it loads the esms/esps. even after the program initially freezes, it continues to use CPU resources and take up increasing amounts of memory. The moment the "stopped working" window pops up however the memory and CPU usage stops as well. The program doesn't begin to max out my memory. Thanks very much to anyone who can help me on this
  7. I've been trying to load up the Underground Hideout New Vegas mod in the NV GECK so I could add a few personal items and support for WMX, but when i try to load the armory interior only 5% or so of the room loads. Would anyone know why this is? I didn't have this problem when i added WME and EVE support to the fallout 3 hideout mod.
