I wasted an entire night to myself on this. so here is the issue: I was trying to patch Better Claws and Gauntlets (i will provide link to the mods mentioned) so that Nordic Wanderer would have beast race claws. I followed the instructions Provided by the mod author to the letter and by all means it should work. but it doesn’t. the claw mesh should show up, but it doesn’t. i hate it, i hate how i spent an entire night doing this. what should have been a simple, at most 45 minute thing, turned into a 5 hour nightmare. the mesh doesn’t work. It just shows the default mesh for the modded gauntlets. I want it to work, but I am now just utterly burnt out on this madness. here are the mods i am trying to patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52918/ and https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69103 If someone cannot help me, I just want someone to patch this then. I would contact the authors but apparently they aren’t around anymore the instructions provided by the mod author: 1) First of all find the modded armor folder and make sure there isn't already a beast race version. If there's not, copy the human gauntlets. Example: gauntletsm_0, gauntletsm_1, gauntletsf_0, gauntletsf_1, plus the first person versions. In case you are wondering, _0 is the lighest body slider while _1 is the heaviest. and rename them adding "beast" before the underscore. If there is already a beast version, Step 3 is not needed. but I'd suggest to remove these files and use the humand hands instead as there might be clipping between the old claws and the new ones. 2) Open niskope and load the modded glove. Open nifskope again and load the Better Claws hands. On the beast hands model, click on "ninode", txt and name it as the other file. Select the claws, right click, block, and "copy branch". Then Open the gauntlets window, right click and "paste branch". You have to do the same thing with both _0 and _1 files. Then load the hands for the other gender and repeat the whole thing. Not the same process with the first person versions, using the correct hand version. 3) Open the Creation Kit, load the armor mod and set it to active. Search for the gauntlets you want to fix, and open the entry ending with "AA". Deselect Argonian and Khajiit in the race list. Click ok, then right click and duplicate it, adding "Arg" just after the AA. Open it Set "ArgonianRace on the top and select only the Argonian/Argonian vampire race. Then assign to male, female and their first person versions their gauntlets ending with _1. Set "skin texture" to SkinHandMaleArgonian and SkinHandFemaleArgonian. Click ok, duplicate the ArmorAddon again and repeat the same process for Khajiits. Now open the modded gauntlets entry that isn't ending with AA, click show all and drag into that tab the Beast Race versions you just created. Now save and that's it! Let me now if there are any troubles with this guide.
  3. So i've been trying to edit Amanda from the "Ties that bind" Mod basically, i'm trying to give her new Eye Color and a new Hairstyle. Now, I know how to add the hairstyles and eye colors. simply drag and drop the files into the proper race stuff. I did that. The issue is that whenever I then reopen GECK/Or open Fallout 3, none of the changes (aside from hair color) actually stick. in fact, the hairstyle and eye color switch to "NONE" option and the modded eye colors and hairstyles I manually added are missing from the race file.
  4. Well, there's also a lore-friendly option of It being a Genetic test gone wrong from Big Mountain. that way it could be canon.
  5. consider this either a Request or a suggestion but someone MUST make a Deathclaw Hybrid mod! I have always been a massive fan of Deathclaws, and this must be a thing! what I mean is: An Item/mod that turns the player into a Deathclaw/human Hybrid now here's what I envision for starters: Player has Deathclaw Hands, feet, tail, spines and Horns all fully functional it's a purely cosmetic mod but I do believe it can be built upon like: Different types of Deathclaw Hybrids or perks like Friendly Deathclaws and increased unarmed damage Either way I need and WANT this mod! Imagine how cool it would be to roam the wastelands as a Deathclaw Hybrid! I have found other Forums about this, including Reddit and even Fallout 3 nexus! we need to make this a reality here's what I envision for what this mod COULD look like
