I only gave out two gifts this year, one of which was to my team leader, the other to a co-worker with whom I've spent Thanksgiving, A sock-puppet and a t-shirt, both of which I made myself. The holidays, like most everything else in our culture, have become heavily commercialized.

So you've heard of Pokemon then?
Epic Lulz, that also came to mind when I read the OP.

Coincidentally, she has been kidnapped. As you can see in the note, the kidnappers demanded 5K Septims. Jordis, who is supposedly sworn to guard everything I own, and my annoying Bard, are unharmed, as are the three suits of magical armor, soul gems, jewelry and other items worth way more than 5K Septims. Not only that, but it seems that Breylna rescued herself by the time I got done crafting 25 suits of leather armor. These are either the worst kidnappers ever, or something fishy is going on. (My quest is marked as complete, but she still isn't at the house).

Hai Guyz,
I just finished building my home in Lakeside Manor, I have it furnished and everything. However, my wife, the dark elf from the college whose name I cannot spell, seems unhappy. She no longer acts as a merchant, cooks me food, but still sleeps with me when I come home. Also, I found my bard using my alchemy table and eating my food when I walked in the other night. in addition to my bard and my wife, I also have a steward(jordis) living with us. Is it possible that my wife is cheating on me with the bard?
-
Wait, Hearthfire let's you have multiple homes? All I have is one place outside Falkreath(Lakeside Manor). I didn't know other locations were available.
-
Have you tried talking to the Stewards(as opposed to the jarls)? Other than that, more specifics please.

Are Nords the ones with the Swedish accents, or is that just a regional thing?

Note: This is not my 'birthday' it is taken from my join date - my actual birthday is not listed.
I completely did not realize that when I started this topic. I was just making another joke topic for fun. But happy 6th anniversary with the Nexus.

I cant force Serana to marry me
I think there are some moral issues with forcing these types of things...
Moral Issues???
You are aware that none of this is real? You don't actually live in Skyrim. You don't actually fight dragons. There is no such things as vampires (excluding Dick Clark and Dick Chaney).
hence the term "MORAL" because its something mental. Its whats going on with your mind.. its not about the physicality itself.. its about what you are doing and how it affects your mental perception.
INB4lock We are talking about a game where you can become a thief, an assassin, commit genocide....but no forced marriages, thats just wrong. If you think about it, The Elder Scroll Franchise is the most moral of rpgs, as you do not gain XP for murder directly, just for practicing skills. As a matter of fact, my brother has a Morrowind Khajit who never hurt a fly, enjoyed collecting lamps, and was an all-out pacifist.

I don't like how potions are handled in Bethesda games. I usually forget I have them in the first place.

Do you have to limit yourself to only two sides? I likes how in New Vegas that you can give the finger to Mr.House, Caesar. and the NCR, and simply take NV for yourself. I don't want to spend all my time being someone else's lackey, I want to conquer Tamriel for myself.

Well, the Hearthfire DLC is only $4 on Steam, so I am downloading.

Considering how abysmal the last few FF games have been I don't trust Squenix anymore.
IMHO, The FF series peaked around X. As for XII and XIII, I didn't like the gameplay or the storylines. Square was almost as bad as Sega when it came to having something good, then trashing it.

Hai Guyz,
I've been a fan of the TES franchise since Daggerfall, and I still cannot tell the difference between all the races, with obvious exceptions(Khajit, Argonian, Dunmer). Does anyone else have this problem?

I myself do gaming on a laptop because I lack the space for a desktop(or a television set needed for a console).
-
I would ditch the shield and simply invest in stamina in order to avoid Close-Range attacks, especially if you have a follower with a shield. Skyrim has plenty of places to run away to.
No stealth. Straight up Bow and SwordI don't see the point of not practicing stealth. It would make sense in Oblivion given your limited number of "skill slots"(major, minor skills). But unless you are going to use heavy Armor there really isn't any reason not to spend time sneaking around.

Hai Guyz,
I have a level 26 Dark Elf who is into enchanting and smithing. I spend the majority of my time looking for either craft stations or people I can sell my loot to. Is there a town that has everything I need in one place? I bought a house somewhere, I think in Whiterun, but they won't let me buy an enchanting crafting station.

i would call this the 'casual' setup and is what most console players will use in order to 'win' the game and increase their gamerscore.
Not sure if this is serious

Today Bben turns 10D10+100 years old. Here's hoping for another 10D10 more.
Here are some things that happened during his year of Birth:
-Willem Von Lulz, a German biologist, invents the lolcat
-Chuck Norris conquers Hawaii
- The USS Enterprise mysteriously disappears
Other people who share his birthday include:
Harrison Ford
Crimson McKnight
Adam Shepherd

JUst got done trawling through this topic. I pretty much agree with the OP. I kept wanting to speed through it, so that I could go back to the original game. Then again, I believe part of my (lack of) enjoyment of this adventure was the fact that I was an unarmed specialist who mainly specialized in speech and barter. If I had a different build(perhaps melee/stealth), I may have enjoyed this more. Things I didn't like about the Dead Money:
-Having to blow up/avoid the radios, some were even "shielded". The clouds were equally annoying.
-What seemed to be very little character development or roleplaying. The collar's took away a sense of freedom.
- (IMHO), somewhat cliche characters. Christine was interesting, with her being unable to communicate verbally. Dog/God was somewhat one-dimensional. Dean was almost interesting, but he didn't make much sense in the end; Why did Dean spend 200 years hanging around the casino, especially in a world where gold was hardly valuable? One would've thought he'd venture out into the wasteland out of boredom or something.
-The above gave the DLC an overall linear feeling. I felt more like I was trudging through a boring shooting game than playing an RPG. Even killing the ghosts got boring after awhile, since they all pretty much acted the same.
-
IMHO, Dead Money was pretty horrible for a DLC. I think that $9 is a fair price considering the resources put into making it(extra graphics, scripting, voicework, etc.). However, that didn't necessarily make it enjoyable. "The Pitt" for Fallout 3 was much more fun, since you got a special weapon, the ammo mill, and a somewhat less linear storyline. Personally, it seems as though that Dead Money was meant to be as annoying as possible. I spent more time dodging the stupid holograms and looking for radios than anything else. Having to reload the game a dozen times just because you don;t know where the exact spot you are supposed to stand is the opposite of fun.

Hai Guyz,
Veronica's quest appears to be bugged. I am at the part where I talk to elder Naknamara, and Veronica contemplates leaving the Brotherhood. I tell her to leave. Her quest isn't marked as completed, but doesn't list any further steps. I have checked the wiki for fixes. Apparently, I am supposed to be greeted by a gang of hostile paladins when I exist the bunker. Instead, I am greeted by 4 friendly Paladins that do nothing but stand there and say hello as I walk by them. Is there a mod or anything to fix her quest?

Name: Stinky McPoo
gender: male
race: human
weapon: Diaper
Bio: Stinky McPoo was found in a meteor that crashed near Jacob's Town, he was clad only in a silver diaper, and was adopted by a gang of nightkin. Strangely, his diaper never needed changing. One day when he was 6, raiders attacker the town, and a beam of light shot from Stinky's crotch, killing all of them. The town was saved, and he was hailed as a hero. His adoptive father, who was a scientist or something, ha discovered that the diaper was powered by his own feces, and had fed him a diet rich in fiber and laxatives. When he was 13, his adoptive father encouraged him to leave the village, as there was a whole wasteland that needed his stinky justice. Oftentimes, his unusual odor sets him apart from the rest of society, but his heroics easily wins him friends.

I am surprised about the lack of melee/unarmed fans in this thread. My first character used guns, but slowly switched to melee towards the end of the game, as melee was better at armor penetration. My Second character, an unarmed specialist, can take down super-mutants completely unarmed with 3 hits on level 14. I do agree with the majority on explosives; Because Fallout 3 and Fallout:NV have no mechanics for cover or indirect fire, explosives are rarely more useful than other weapons.
Personally, I never liked the division of melee and unarmed combat, there should at least exist a synergy bonus(E.G. +2 melee if at least 5 points in unarmed). Both melee and unarmed share many of the same principals. Likewise, most energy weapons and guns are line-of-sight, so why have two seperate skills?

Next TES game setting?!
